I had an awful experience with a dental group in Broomfield which left me never wanting to visit a dental office AGAIN. Sheri at the front desk made me feel right at home, so much so, I didn't even need to visit the office first before telling my friends they needed to hop on this train. They have a super easy online application option that was much less laborious than other crap applications I am used to completing with dental. The industry is still working on coming out of the dark ages so I really appreciated this! Spoiler alert- my intuition was right on! The office is beautiful, high tech, clean and oh so welcoming. No bleach beige hospital feels here. The beautiful aquarium full of tropical fish had me wanting to hang out all day. Dr. Wehking met me in the waiting area within a few minutes of check-in and gave me a tour of the office. Each room is carefully decorated to make you feel like you're in your trendier home away from home. Everyone had a gorgeous smile on their face and seemed to genuinely LOVE what they were doing, what a concept. There were beautiful mature plants in the rooms which is just so refreshing to see and a stark contrast from what I have been used to. Everything about the energy in that office put me at ease. Dr. Wehking and her staff were ultra thorough with their examination and charting. They took more rads and photos than I have ever had during any appointment, it really made me feel like no stone was being left unturned. It was obvious to me that the standard of care here exceeds today's "normal dental standards". I was never made to feel rushed and at no point did I feel that I was being sold on anything or just another number coming through the door. Anastasia, my hygienist, was amazing. She was clearly passionate about what she does and gave me a bunch of easy, quick tips that no one has ever bothered to share with me before. I…read morehad pinhole gum surgery in 2021 that didn't work, so I needed to get traditional gum grafting. After reading the positive reviews for Flatirons Perio, I scheduled a consultation and long story short, it was the easiest and least painful surgery I've ever had. Dr. Misischia uses several techniques to minimize impact and IMO if you follow his post-op instructions, everything heals quickly and painlessly. I recommend planning ahead with the right foods and queuing up movies to watch so the downtime is as enjoyable as possible. For me the downtime was the only challenging aspect of this procedure, and it was much shorter than I anticipated. Everyone I interacted with at Flatirons Perio was delightful (including Dr. Misischia's dog, Rebel). Dr. Misischia is extremely personable and answered any questions I had. I was pretty "out of it" during the surgery but at one point heard him talking about Willie Nelson. He also told me how he prepares overnight oats with Matcha Tea (which I am going to try). I hope I never have to see a periodontist again, but if I do I trust this practice for their commitment to excellence and for making periodontal surgery "fun."

I was told the emails were to get me to call them back to reschedule and were not real appointment times? There are no appointments until March of 2026 but I can get on the waiting list. Not sure why I have an appointment to be on a waiting list with and unknown of when I can get my cleaning and exam. March 2026 would have put me at 15 months from my previous cleaning. I am under the impression I am not an important patient here and am looking for a new dental office that values my health and time.

The office is well-decorated and cozy with accent walls and aesthetically-pleasing black and white photos of people with ridiculously white teeth. They have complimentary fruit and drinks (orange juice, green tea, water, etc.), free yummy chapstick, and of course your obligatory floss and toothpaste. The exam/cleaning rooms all have nice, big windows, so you can look out the window or watch TV while you are having work done, your choice. Also, you have the option of dipping your hands in a paraffin wax bath for a nice hand treatment as you get your teeth done. Absolutely genius ... I mean, if you're sitting there for an extended period of time anyway, why not? Everyone I interacted with there was very pleasant, but, most importantly, honest. Dr. Alber has a very frank, here's-how-it-is personality, which I really appreciated. He told me I should consider having my wisdom teeth out in the near future, and when I admitted that I thought I would be doing that on my next visit to Peru, he encouraged me. "Heck, they can do it for a lot cheaper than I can -- and they have good dentists!" he said. I really appreciated that because he could have said something like "Well, the only way you can be SURE to have it done well is to go through me." I loved the no-upsale approach. My visit was very cheap; with insurance, it ended up being $22, but without it would have been $110 for cleaning, xrays, and checkup. I will definitely be going back.
