Dr Tran is very good. He is a gifted Doctor. I highly recommend this practice. The office and equipment is very modern and high tech.

I came in needing a root canal and was nervous, but they made me feel incredibly comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Woods reassured me the whole time, even when I told him I usually pass out after shots--something that's caused other dentists to stop working on me in the past. Not here. He kept going, stayed calm, and made sure I was okay. The procedure was quick and painless, and honestly, I couldn't believe how smooth it went. I've never felt this relaxed in a dentist's office. Highly recommend!

Dr. Wood is a treasure. I had a difficult time deciding whether to go through with a re-treatment,…read moreand Dr. Wood had several long conversations with me about it, explaining everything in depth and with no pressure. Unlike so many other dentists, I never felt rushed or talked down to. We came to a mutual decision that I felt comfortable with, and I never doubted that Dr. Wood had my best interests at heart, even if it meant turning down business for him. The lady answering billing questions was not very helpful and at times pretty short. Insurance can be scary and uncertain, and as a patient I want to know (1) what the procedure is going to cost, and (2) if there's uncertainty around costs, what they are, and how they might be resolved. Having a patient and empathetic billing person would go a long way to helping this.

I do feel the need to be honest and share that I wouldn't feel comfortable returning. The last…read moredental cleaning I went to the dental hygienist was obviously put out and had an attitude about me missing the previous appointment. I can understand that to an extent, but you what - life happens! I paid the fee for missing the appointment, and it's her responsibility to get over it and still provide excellent care. It felt so ackward! Then - at the end of the teeth cleaning, this was the only dentist appoitnment I have ever been to EVER where a dentist did not come in and talk to me about my teeth, if I had any cavities, any concerns I had etc. I actually had to ask the dental hygenist to confirm that I didn't have any cavities. Finally - at the end of the appoitnment the dental hygentist was so obviously judgmental towards me when talking with the front desk worker about how I had private insurance...there's no need for that and really - what's it to her? I will never return here and do not reccomend.

I was referred to Boulder Total Dentistry by a friend. My first visit was fine. They did a basic exam and took some X-rays. The exam indicated that I had several minor problems: A cavity, and a loose implant. I returned to the office to fix the cavity and the loose implant. Dr. Hinsberger managed to destroy the tooth with the cavity. She removed enough tooth material that she decided that she could not fix the cavity, and I would need to extract the remaining tooth and have an implant and crown built. ($6500 out of my pocket) The tooth that she destroyed was not causing any problems. At no time did she indicate that fixing the cavity might cause the loss of the tooth. She did not address the loose implant. I left their office that day, and have not returned. I went to my wife's dentist, who cleaned up the damaged tooth and was able to build a crown for that tooth. Conclusion: If you go to Boulder Total Dentistry, avoid Dr. Hinsberger. Rog Smith

I was scheduled first thing the next morning. Tooth removal was required, the process was surprisingly easy. I'm a dentist phobic person due to a few past bad experiences but this was a good experience. The staff was friendly, the office was very nice and Brett made an unpleasant experience one that wasn't bad at all. I live in Broomfield and I will be visiting them for all my future dental needs.

The first time I visited him a few years ago, despite my adamant objections, he relentlessly pursued a mold of my teeth. I was not remotely there to obtain a mold, of course the molding process removed my crown, necessitating a subsequent procedure. Additionally during the first visit I had to endure leaking hoses dripping water all over me as he worked on my teeth, gross and humiliating. I am confident the intent is to increase opportunities for additional procedures and charges. That was the last draw as far as visiting his office.

Upon my first appt. I had a gold crown that fell off and needed to be recemented back. Upon my 2nd visit to get the crown put back and my teeth professionally cleaned, Dr. Newsome brought me into a side office to "get to know me" better. Okay, I have an extensive history in dental and I was expecting her to want to get more details but rather she pulls out pictures of 2 people. 1 is a famous movie star and another clearly a homeless person who most likely did not have the resources to get proper dental care as the movie star. Showing me jaw bones in various stages of deterioration such as the homeless person who probably never goes to a dentist unlike the beautiful movie star. Then she proceeded to tell me about bugs that live in our mouths when we eat they eat remaining food left in our teeth and then poop which makes tooth decay. I was completely appalled by this and the only thing keeping me there is she had my crown that I needed recemented. After my review, she also goes over ALL the work I need to do immediately which was going to amount to $3600 and if I paid her immediately, she would discount me 5%. WHAT? After my very odd and extremely strange appointment I decided to get second opinion. I am now working with another local dentist who clearly did not agree with the unnecessary work Dr. Newsome wanted to do nor did she find so called decay in one of the crowns she wanted to replace. The new dentist only cost me around $600. a BIG difference plus she never mentioned the bugs in our mouths that poop! Dr. Newsome needs to rethink her level of care and how she talks to her clients. This was completely unacceptable and beyond bizarre!
