Had a poor experience with the billing department. The Dentist and Hygienists were very good.

This crew absolutely changed my life. After not had been to the dentist for 7 years, I had…read moredeveloped quite a bit of issues that needed to be taken care of. I actually had first went to Fox Creek Dental where I was quoted a way more expensive plan, so I decided to get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Juan Sauza. From the moment I met their tight group and Juan himself, I immediately felt more comfortable and decided to give them my business; not to mention they offered a much more reasonable price! Everyone here is funny, charismatic, incredibly knowledgable and worked with my ever-changing work schedule perfectly. I began my plan pre-pandemic and considering the amount of work that needed to be done in addition to being compliant with my insurance, I had appointments all throughout 2020 and into 2021. I felt undoubtedly safe as they took every precaution during COVID-19. Ask Juan about his "spaceman helmet" he used during some of those appointments! :) All in all, as my dental work is now completed, everyone here now just feels like family to me. I know I can call them any time if I have questions or need some type of adjustment. If I weren't moving back to California soon, I can assure you this would continue to be my permanent dentist office. Thank you Avanti!

We have been with Dr. Sauza for the last 17 years, and are nothing but thankful and grateful we have him as our dentist. I have three kids, now 17, 15, and 13, and they have all grown up with Dr. Sauza and his amazing staff and we wouldn't have it any other way. They are fabulous, caring, gentle, and detailed, and the communication is terrific. They work hard to schedule my kids consecutively so I only have to make one trip. Some years I have had to call to get a yearly summary for our expenses there, and that comes within the day via email. Their billing employee is efficient, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and has been that way for the 14 years I've been a patient. When we were going back between the orthodontist and Dr. Sauza, his staff got us appointments quickly so the kids could have their wires off for cleaning and then get back to the orthodontist for service. When the kids needed a water pik and stronger fluoride options during those braces years, he had the products in the office (at the same price that Costco sold them) so that we could get taken care of right away. I saw that another reviewer did not have the same experience as I have, which is unfortunate. I have only had positive, wonderful experiences with Dr. Sauza. It's such a great place that when my kids were little, I brought one home from the dentist and she told her sister that she just came back from there and the little one came running to me and cried, "How come I didn't get to go to the dentist?" It really is that great.

This is a review for the current owners & Dr Schulte…read more I can assure you this is the WORST Endodontic office you could possibly consider. If you choose to go here, you do so at your own physical and financial peril. Below is my wife's story, I feel absolutely awful that I haven't shared this sooner because we just found out that a dear friend went here for a root canal that also ended up getting infected, and they used one of the other Doctors in the practice. Clearly, the entire office is incompetent. Boulder area folks - do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs. Head 15 minutes right up diagonal highway and go to Endodontic Specialists of Northern Colorado instead. Dr. Milroy has been an absolute Godsend in helping my wife out of the horror that Dr. Schulte inflicted. I'll share the kicker to the whole story after you read my wife's experience, but just know that our experience landed my wife in the Hospital with out of pocket medical bills of almost 7 thousand dollars. Enjoy: ------ The negligence I experienced from Dr Schulte and his practice was every person's nightmare of a horrendous dental experience. I would NEVER use this doctor or practice again and feel it is my duty to warn others as well. While Dr Schulte is a nice man his root canal and after care landed me in the hospital for four days culminating in an invasive surgery on my jaw, mouth and neck. What began as a routine root canal ended up in over three months of procedures and appointments. During my appointment he used a novocaine technique that was extremely invasive and that my current endo says she uses only as a last resort and ALWAYS follows up with an antibiotic. I had bleeding that would not stop and the procedure that normally takes 30-45 minutes took over two hours. The instant my novocaine wore off I knew something was wrong. I called his office the next morning asking about infection. Many times he insisted I did not have one. I was given steroids which not only aggravated the pain but caused me several sleepless nights. My pain was off the charts. I went back in and he did another xray. Checking both that tooth and the other near it. He once again said that he felt there was no infection and sent me home with pain meds. When the pain meds did not touch the pain I called again. He told me I had to get through the weekend and that it was likely that I was just super sensitive. I asked again about infection and he said no. Woke up next day to swelling. And then the next day my face was three times normal size and I had 104.7' fever. We called the on call doctor who put me on antibiotics. Never once did Schulte call himself. We had to call the office several times on Monday and call the on call Dr again (who is in a different practice) to even get a call back. He then recommended I stay on this though I was no better. Next day we called again to get him to change the meds. When my throat began to feel swollen we went to the ER. A CT scan showed three abscesses and my fever was still 103. I was transported to a hospital an hour away by ambulance where I received countless rounds of IV antibiotics for a septic like infection and a surgery and drains placed in my neck to drain the infection. I am still undergoing care for the damage done to my mouth and jaw. To say it was a nightmare is an understatement. We amicably asked for his help in paying the outrageous hospital bills and have been given the run around much like his after care! While I am aware that infection is a risk it is not the fact that I got one that is my issue. It is the fact that he neglected to listen to me when I told him something was clearly wrong. I had three abscesses by the time I got to the hospital in my jaw, neck and mouth. He was completely negligent yet insists I received the standard of care he would give his family. Wow. He must not like his family!! Clearly I would NOT recommend this practice! ------ Here's the nail in the coffin to this horror tale - only in our after care post surgery X-rays did we come to find out that HE DID THE ROOT CANAL ON THE WRONG TOOTH! You've been warned

FIVE YEARS OF PAIN. COUNTLESS APPOINTMENTS. INCOMPETENT STAFF. AND A DENTIST WITH A DISCIPLINARY…read moreHISTORY WHO GOES ONLY BY "DR. STEVEN" for a reason. Before visiting Dr. Stephen Sidwell at Comfort Dental Longmont, I recommend researching his Colorado DORA disciplinary history. Case 2015-3637-B concerns reported findings involving an extraction without a diagnostic X-ray, a retained root fragment, and inadequate documentation. The Colorado Dental Board issued a formal reprimand and required additional education. I wish I'd known about this before spending FIVE YEARS trying to get help. My latest nightmare started when I arrived 15 minutes late for an appointment. In the same dead, monotonous voice I'd come to expect, the front desk informed me that I had to reschedule. I AM IN PAIN. I kept explaining that I was in pain, that I needed help, and that this had been going on for YEARS. Nothing. No empathy. No attempt to find a solution. Just the same robotic response. Later, Dr. Steven told me I could have come in and waited to be seen. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOUR OWN STAFF TOLD ME I HAD TO RESCHEDULE! Patients pay the price for this office's administrative failures with their time, money, health, and quality of life. For FIVE YEARS, I complained about persistent tooth pain. FIVE YEARS of appointments, runarounds, unanswered questions, and staff who couldn't seem to comprehend the most basic information. "I AM IN PAIN. I AM BEGGING YOU FOR HELP." How many times does a patient have to say that before someone actually does something? During my last conversation, I asked an incredibly simple question. The front desk couldn't figure it out, so they finally brought in a dentist who understood what I was asking within approximately 60 seconds. ONE MINUTE. That's all it took. When your front desk cannot understand or communicate basic medical information, patients can be denied or delayed access to care. That's what happened to me. I was in pain, begging for help, and repeatedly getting nowhere. When I described the staff as "incompetent," another dentist, whom I remember being introduced to as Dr. Bob, actually objected: "That's too far!" LOL. THAT'S TOO FAR? Not FIVE YEARS OF PAIN? Not the endless runaround? Not the inability to answer basic questions or coordinate medical records? Apparently, criticizing the staff was more offensive than a patient begging for help. And then there was the outrageous situation involving another dentist in Arvada. Dr. Sidwell's staff told me they would only disclose what that dentist had said about my condition if I first provided the name or manufacturer of my implants. EXCUSE ME? YOU'RE WITHHOLDING INFORMATION ABOUT MY OWN DENTAL CARE? They claim he left me a message, it was a click of hanging up They repeatedly pressured me for information I didn't have. I eventually tracked down the original dentist myself, yet the records-transfer nightmare continued. Despite my repeated requests and a dentist promising that my records would be sent by the end of the day, THEY NEVER ARRIVED. I BEGGED THEM TO SEND MY RECORDS. THEY PROMISED. THEY DIDN'T.How difficult is it to send a patient's records to another dental practice? Why should a patient in chronic pain have to spend so much time chasing down information that should be readily available? The lack of empathy was as appalling as the administrative incompetence. I felt like I was explaining the same elementary information over and over to people who simply weren't listening. Meanwhile, I was told Dr. Sidwell could replace my crown for another $1,500. WHY? After FIVE YEARS of unresolved pain, why was the proposed solution another $1,500 procedure? What evidence supported replacing the crown when the underlying cause of my pain hadn't been adequately explained? Eventually, I went elsewhere. That practice already had my records. The dentist reviewed the evidence and told me, "It's very clear what is going on." MY BODY WAS REJECTING THE IMPLANT. He showed me the evidence, explained the problem, and recommended removing the back implant. No $1,500 replacement crown. No endless runaround. No illiterate staff with zero empathy. A clear explanation and a treatment plan. FIVE YEARS. FIVE YEARS OF PAIN, AND THE PROBLEM WAS THE IMPLANT. What makes this experience so horrifying isn't just the pain. It's the combination of administrative chaos, poor communication, unfulfilled promises to transfer records, repeated frustration, and a shocking lack of compassion for someone begging for medical help. If this office is saving money by operating without adequate administrative support, patients are the ones paying the price with their time, money, health, and quality of life. FIVE YEARS OF BEGGING FOR HELP. FIVE YEARS OF GETTING THE RUNAROUND. AND THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME THAT CALLING THE EXPERIENCE "INCOMPETENT" WAS TOO FAR. RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY. Bye, Dr. "Steven"!
