They tried to upsell me…read more I only wanted a cleaning. I have always gotten dental cleanings every six months. They insisted on x-rays many health issues happened in the past four years to me (including MRIs and other types of x-rays) the surgeon and MD who did surgery on me in Sept 2024 said avoid x-rays until October 2025. I am over 70 and not in great health. However, I have never had a cavity in my Life. My previous doctor, Jack DUNN, is retiring, so I had to find a new dentist covered by Cigna Medicare. Dr. Dunn was wonderful. I saw him for eight years. He never did a single x-ray on me and my teeth have been excellent until chemo. Damaged my health in many ways. I have autism and severe medically induced PTSD (which I noted in my online form). The ptsd is due to doctors misdiagnosing people in my family. My sister died before age 40 because of misdiagnosis. My healthy cousin, a dancer, died before age 50 due to misdiagnosis. A doctor over prescribed seizure medicines for me; so my liver is permanently damaged So going to any doctor, including dentists, puts me into panic attacks I am happy my Cigna rep helped me find another dentist; and was extremely compassionate about my "fight" response to fear When the receptionist kept arguing that I MUST get x-rays, I went into "fight" mode (argued in person/on phone later). My mother is an RN and I grew up being told to ask questions because doctors often make mistake mistakes. After what happened to my cousin, sister and me, I will refuse a treatment that I feel is bad for my health. Healthcare workers need to understand that every patient is different

Received a call the next Thursday (4 days later!) from office telling me there was a miscommunication with call center and to call & make an appointment. Call center told me they would make sure the office knew I was coming.

I have been seeing Dr. Singiser for a number of years. He was recommended to me by a friend and I…read morecouldn't be happier. My periodontal work went very well without any complications. He explained all of the details in terms that I clearly understood before the procedure. The office staff was great. His assistant Staci was warm and very professional. I continue to see Dr. Singiser for occasional routine checkups and to make sure all is well.

Here are my opinions of Dr Singiser as a conscientious patient. My dentist referred me to Singiser,…read morewho exceeded my reasonable and customary limits with every procedure he prescribed. My family dentist was surprised at how much Singiser was charging and said another patient complained about being referred to Singiser because of high fees the same week! I have great insurance; he exceeded reasonable and customary for every procedure. I was referred to another Periodontist with whom I am very happy. Singiser's charges were DOUBLE that of the the other Periodontist. I asked him to adjust his charges; he said no. He sent a bill telling me he would send it to collection if not paid immediately. I paid 10 of the remaining $45 charges, with a note that I was protesting his high fees. Today I received a letter from a collection agency even though I made a payment! I have very good credit. Dr. SIngiser is driving the cost of healthcare to unreasonable levels. Watch out and ask his fees FIRST! I thought I should follow up with more information. My second opinion preauthorization was for about $3000. Singiser's preauthorization was for about $6000. The procedures were pretty similar. The fees I complained about were for an initial perio exam and would have been paid by my insurance company at $100%, however, there was a footnote that Singiser's fees exceeded reasonable and customary fees ($90) by $45.50. That is 1.5 times higher than reasonable and customary! It's up to you to decide, but if you go to Dr. Singiser, I'm simply giving you a heads up to ask his fees first. If they seem high to you, let your referring dentist know and get a second opinion. You may find the same thing I found. I'm lucky that I stopped it all at the initial perio exam.

Had to update from my previous review from 9 years ago: Now the kids are 26, 24, 22 and we all…read morestill love Dr. Sauza and his caring, kind, and knowledgeable ways. We have been with Dr. Sauza for the last 17 years, and are nothing but thankful and grateful we have him as our dentist. I have three kids, now 17, 15, and 13, and they have all grown up with Dr. Sauza and his amazing staff and we wouldn't have it any other way. They are fabulous, caring, gentle, and detailed, and the communication is terrific. They work hard to schedule my kids consecutively so I only have to make one trip. Some years I have had to call to get a yearly summary for our expenses there, and that comes within the day via email. Their billing employee is efficient, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and has been that way for the 14 years I've been a patient. When we were going back between the orthodontist and Dr. Sauza, his staff got us appointments quickly so the kids could have their wires off for cleaning and then get back to the orthodontist for service. When the kids needed a water pik and stronger fluoride options during those braces years, he had the products in the office (at the same price that Costco sold them) so that we could get taken care of right away. I saw that another reviewer did not have the same experience as I have, which is unfortunate. I have only had positive, wonderful experiences with Dr. Sauza. It's such a great place that when my kids were little, I brought one home from the dentist and she told her sister that she just came back from there and the little one came running to me and cried, "How come I didn't get to go to the dentist?" It really is that great.

I actually had first went to Fox Creek Dental where I was quoted a way more expensive plan, so I decided to get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Juan Sauza. From the moment I met their tight group and Juan himself, I immediately felt more comfortable and decided to give them my business; not to mention they offered a much more reasonable price! Everyone here is funny, charismatic, incredibly knowledgable and worked with my ever-changing work schedule perfectly. I began my plan pre-pandemic and considering the amount of work that needed to be done in addition to being compliant with my insurance, I had appointments all throughout 2020 and into 2021. I felt undoubtedly safe as they took every precaution during COVID-19. Ask Juan about his "spaceman helmet" he used during some of those appointments! :) All in all, as my dental work is now completed, everyone here now just feels like family to me. I know I can call them any time if I have questions or need some type of adjustment. If I weren't moving back to California soon, I can assure you this would continue to be my permanent dentist office. Thank you Avanti!
