Dr Christopher is incredibly rude and condescending. At first I thought it was fine, but now after several visits I notice his "politeness" eroding and his real self-righteous attitude becoming more pronounced. Only wants to do dental work he can charge a lot for, doesn't care about patients well-being or needs, only his biew of what they should do. Politeness doesn't cover the underlying general disdain. Look elsewhere for dental care. read more

I am 70 on medicare with Kaiser . So required to use Delta of which Dr Michael Christopher is a member of their network. Dr Christopher convinced me to do cosmetic work on my front teeth (crowns) It has been a nightmare since. He did a "bait and switch on pricing) in the very beginning I should have walked away My front crowns fall out every month requiring re-cementing It is very distressing to have your teeth fall out in a restaurant let alone at home I carry a tube of fixodent in my pocket all the time Dr Christopher , after dealing with at least a dozen instances over Thanksgiving refused me service, he was too busy Ignorte this review at your own peril read more

I am a new patient and was very happy with my first visit yesterday. The staff is very friendly as was Dr. Christopher. He was very gentle working in my mouth. They were very good at taking safety protocols due to Covid. My hygienist was very nice and communicated with me well. Dr. Christopher made me feel comfortable and that's saying a lot since I usually get anxious at the dentist. He is from Chicago originally so we made easy conversation about the Midwest. As a new patient, I have to say that my experience here was the best and easiest checkup and cleaning I've ever had. I was nervous because it's been a few years (covid, etc.) since I've visited a dentist and figured I was in for a rough time. However, the x-rays were quick and much easier than previous experiences. Most of all, my hygienist was incredible and my cleaning was quick and painless. She even completely removed a stain on a tooth that multiple previous dentist visits had not. And Dr. Christopher clearly explained the status of my oral health and did not hard sell me on any dental work. Absolutely 5 stars deserved for every aspect of their service. read more

Christopher (the dentist) outlined a plan for me including two procedures, both denied by my insurance company. When asked why his diagnosis was so different than other dentists he became noticeably irritated, exclaiming he knew better. I foolishly decided to believe him and pay for one procedure myself. After paying for another x-ray he admitted he wasn't skilled enough to perform the procedure, that's when the other procedure he recommended was denied by my insurance company. The person at the desk refused to re-submit any appeal with my insurance company, allowing me to also submit one. Obviously, I found another dentist and you should too. read more

I had my first visit today with Dr Christopher and I was extremely impressed ! Everyone in his office was friendly & very helpful. Dr Christopher himself was thorough, gentle and took the time to explain everything. I need a fair amount of work done yet, he did not push to get everything done all at once. We worked out a plan of attack that was favorable to myself & my insurance. I have been going to the same dental practice in a different state for almost 50 years so I was a bit hesitant in starting over with a new dentist... but I am so glad that I did . I have somehow have gotten very anxious when it comes to getting dental work done. These guys are eliminating that fear. Dr. Christopher and his staff have provided excellent care for my wife and me since we switched to his family dentistry practice about three years ago. He is thorough, highly skilled, and appropriately conservative in his work, and is the most gentle dentist we have ever experienced. Dr. Christopher takes time to carefully explain his findings and recommendations, happily reviewing features on X-rays and/or digital photos of existing or potential problem teeth in as much or little detail as I am comfortable with. His recommendations typically include several options for treatment, with "wait and see if treatment is really needed" almost always presented as a viable option for non-emergency conditions. For those of us who have sensitive teeth, nitrous oxide is available in addition to the normal pain relieving injections he gently adminsters. Dr. Christopher stands behind his work, has high standards and is not happy until you are happy. I had a problem with a crown on a tooth, about a year after he had placed a crown on the tooth's neighbor. The first thing he checked was to see if the tooth he repaired had created the problem. Had it done so, he was prepared to fix it free of charge. As it turned out, that was not the case, but his approach was very reassuring. Dr. Christopher has equipped his practice with state of the art technology -- digital cameras for close-ups of teeth, improved X-ray machines, etc., to ensure he is able to provide the best of care. I should be giving 2 stars because Yelp defines 2 stars as "Meh. I've experienced better." and that's how I feel about Dr. Christopher. But I'm instead picking 3 stars, just because it looks more "average" to me, and I didn't have a horrible experience or anything. I was hopeful about going to this dentist. Another mom recommended them to me, and spoke of them in glowing amazing terms. I was able to book an appointment for both me and my young daughter at the same time, and I thought that it would make things more comfortable for my daughter to be able to see the same dentist as me. I'm glad they fit us both in relatively quickly since I wanted my daughter checked right away. The woman who handled the phone and appointments was *very* personable. This is a "family" dentist but they are apparently not well equipped for handling young kids. I was referred to a pediatric dentist to handle my daughter's situation. That kind of defeats the purpose, for me, of going to one dentist for the whole family. Maybe they think it'll be better to get the more intense procedures done by a different person, and the usual mundane cleanings done with them. I don't know. I think my kid would prefer to develop a relationship with one person. Other things bothered me as well. The dentist himself was blah, personality-wise. He seemed a little rushed - he almost forgot to look at my x-rays. After explaining to them the reason why I had a root canal done (dead tooth from orthodontics years ago, NOT from any sort of cavity or decay), he proceeded to tell me that usually HE puts a crown on a root canal, and that mine might become a problem. Mind you, I got this root canal done maybe one year ago ... I highly doubt that this tooth is going to be a problem any time soon. It just rubbed me the wrong way - I am very suspicious of anyone that says things even potentially "scary"... he said it was just for informational purposes. I found it annoying. I don't think I need to know that I *might* have a problem - I mean, come on, don't we all have the possibility of developing cavities? Do we need to be informed by our dentists of every possible thing that *could* go wrong with our teeth? I don't think so. Tell me to brush and floss more and come for regular checkups. That's enough, thank you. The hygienist - bless her heart. On one hand, you want a good conversationalist, seeing as how their hands are in your mouth and you can't do much of the talking yourself. But this one was giving me a little TOO MUCH personal information. I hesitate to mention her, only because all of her stories have made me feel sorry for her. But the more I thought about the things she said, the more inappropriate it seemed! She was very nice and supportive about my teeth and gums - that made me feel very good - but I have good teeth, so that's not hard to do. Anyway, I don't know yet if I will go back to this group. I wasn't WOWed. They would likely be fine for some. Maybe they'll take this feedback and consider some improvements. Certainly there are other families out there that *do* like them, such as the mom who told me about them in the first place! And there *is* more than one hygienist, so maybe the other one leaves a better first impression. read more

Open Letter to: Dr Christopher, I am writing to express my unhappiness with your level of work. When going into your office for my initial exam, you chose to perform x-rays and fillings without discussion. You informed me as to what you needed to do but did not explain how you came to your conclusion. The chipped tooth was self explanatory, but the filling replacement was not. Second, when you were done I told you that there was some scrap material on the back of the front chipped tooth, which you quickly scraped a little off and left the rest, which I attempted to get off with a bent paper clip. After the numbness wore off I could feel the roughness of the filling of the back tooth, which is the worst finished filling I have ever had in my 55 years of going to dentists. Keep in mind, with my parents limited income that includes the free city dentist in Denver that did work for the underprivileged. The finish work on the replacement filling is horrible! I cannot chew gum without it sticking to my replaced filling. Now, I think about you every single day. I thought you had a nice personality, but I do not want to think about you every day. My tongue rubs the back of my front tooth out of habit due to the residual materials stuck to the back of it. I hesitate before I chew a stick of gum, which I do when I wait on customers so my breath can be fresh. Historically I like to go to more experienced dentists, like Dr Ladd, because they had to learn to be Artists of their trade as opposed to younger Dentists that rely on technology, not expertise. I made a mistake going to you and now will have to pay another dentist to correct your TERRIBLE finish work and to inspect the filling you did for gaps and voids.
