Don't go unless you have perfect teeth, otherwise they make you feel like shit.

I have been taking my four children to Dr. Jones' office since moving to the Denver area in 2008…read more Dr. Jones is an amazing dentist. I canNOT say enough good about him!! My children all experienced multiple procedures including cleanings, x-rays and fillings -- sometimes more than one at a time! And yet my children were never afraid to come to Dr. Jones' office. He has such a gentle touch and a great way with kids. And parents! He always explains exactly what he's doing and what needs to be done. Dealing with kids, their losing and growing of teeth isn't easy! But he is like a director of an orchestra who never seems to get ruffled. His staff is top notch as well! I have enjoyed interacting with every single one of them over the years! Professional, friendly and always smiling! If you are looking for a dentist in the north Denver (we lived in Broomfield when we first started going to his practice) or Boulder, I highly recommend Dr. Jones! I wish I could give him more stars...but really!!

DO NOT, and I can't stress this enough, DO NOT take your children to Dr. Jones…read more I made the mistake of taking my 3 year old twice. She didn't have a fear of dentists until Dr. Jones and his staff held her down to complete her cleaning, not once, but twice. I can't believe I trusted them to care for my daughter. They don't care about their patients, they care more about staying on schedule. Fast forward 5 years and she has such anxiety about the dentist that even a cleaning takes laughing gas. It's awful and I hope no one else endures this kind of treatment. I cannot recommend Dr. Jones or his office, they are reckless and cruel to young, scared patients.

About a year back we took my 4 year old granddaughter to a new pediatric dentist recommended by her…read morenorth boulder daycare school after her regular pediatric dentist left his practice to move to New Jersey. We loved the old dentist (although he wasn't old he was young and pretty new out of school); every visit he gave GD a clean bill of health: no cavities! and we saw this as good genes on our side and good ethics on his (my SIL is highly suspicious of all dentists and I have had bad experiences over the decades). The school recommendation was Dr. Jennifer Rubin at Rock Pediatric Dentistry. My daughter talked to a number of other parents who also went to Dr. Rubin, then made an appt. She had the X-rays from GD's old dentist so Dr Rubin would know how awesome GD was. We were hoping Dr. Rubin wouldn't charge us for new x-rays but after studying the ones we brought, she said that these were helpful but several months old and she'd need more. Then she told us GD had 4 cavities (!), 3 of them identified off the X-rays from the old dentist, looking larger on the new X-rays, and they needed to be addressed immediately or GD would be looking at 'baby root canals' . We were SHOCKED and disbelieving. When we asked why the old dentist told us GD was cavity free she was polite and professional and said what mattered now is that GD get these cavities treated.--! We were pretty upset and did say we might want a second opinion and Dr. Rubin had her front desk send us digital images of both sets of X-rays so we could more easily share them. What stuck in my mind was what Dr. Rubin said, that it didn't matter if she did the work only that it was important that it get done 'asap' before things got worse for GD, ie an infection and abscessed teeth. 'Please do not put this off,' she said and her concern was evident, so I did impose on an acquaintance who teaches at a prestigious dental college in Chicago and he confirmed everything Dr. Rubin told us. He also told me that if we waited a few more months it was possible an infection would have set in and, if left unresolved, an infection could have turned life-threatening. My heart was breaking just imagining the pain and all that for my baby GD! Dr. Rubin is our dentist for life. I sometimes imagine what we would have gone through without her. She is smart, funny, and kind. My GD is excited to go to the dentist! And Dr. Rubin sends little postcards to the kids, addressed to THEM, and my GD got hers in the 'real' mail and I swear she walked around hugging it to her chest for two days lol. Dr. Rubin has a knack for kiddos and is smart as a whip. I don't know why our GD's 'old' dentist failed to spot or report her cavities over the years, but my professor friend said 'inexperience' was probably the cause-- Dr. Rubin had at that time over 10 years of experience, our old dentist had about two? Three? Besides, the proof is in the pudding. When my SIL was worried about costs Dr. Rubin's front office matter-of-factly volunteered that they were happy to work out payment plans etc. and that the key thing was keeping our baby's mouth healthy and avoiding problems in the future with preventative care and re-enforcing good habits. 'Don't worry,' they said 'We'll work it out.' I teared up when I heard this because I have been poorly and even cruelty treated by dentists in the past especially around money and it just made me cry to hear such kindness!! Sorry this review is so long. I felt it must be said.

They really LOOK FORWARD to going to the dentist especially because of the PRIZES and everyone is super friendly and gentle. My kids have been going here since it was Little Britches and it has only become better since Dr. Jennifer Rubin took over the practice. She has a very calm manner and I love the way she talks directly to my kids to explain to them what she is doing during an exam. It is fun (there are clouds hanging from the ceiling) and the space has big windows all around, so a sunny beautiful light filters into the rooms. The chairs are pink, there are games in the lobby, and there are tons of kid-friendly toothpaste and fluoride flavors. They even have a kid-size panoramic x-ray machine. I learned today at Dr. Rubin even does expanders for kids with Invisalign (early ortho work). They take Delta Dental Insurance and they have laughing gas available for the kids who need it.
