Dr. Farmer and her staff at Crossroads all seemed like very nice women, whom I enjoyed meeting and talking with. But they ultimately forced me to pay $600 for a cleaning that they had told me three times would be covered by my insurance. They also tried to get me to agree to a $4,000 treatment plan for procedures I neither wanted nor needed. (The next year, I got my teeth cleaned elsewhere for $79.) I won't be going back to Crossroads. And I'm sorry to say that, because of their numerous miscommunications and billing mismanagement, I cannot recommend them. read more

Overpriced & no compassion. I woke up with a migraine the day of a scheduled procedure, and they wouldn't allow me to reschedule without a $75 fee. It is in my chart that I struggle with chronic & intense migraines, but they just DON'T CARE. Every visit I've had they've tried to up sell me on things I don't need. I asked the receptionist if they would charge if I called and said I had Covid, and she replied that they would be able to reschedule but it is an office policy so they would charge. The focus here is to make money-not provide dental care. read more

Dr. Farmer has been my dentist for nearly 4 years. She ya been through a couple hygienists, but the ones she ya now are phenomenal. The office is very clean, and prior to COVID, there were lots of little pampering extras during your cleaning. Now, it's reassuring to know that I'm in a very safe environment when I go in for cleanings. I'm always educated on what needs to be done to optimize my oral health- complete with practical tips that take into account my unique situation and roadblocks. I chose this place based on all of the awesome reviews as I've had a lot of terrible experiences in the past. I was sorely disappointed. Amy was condescending at best. She mocked me for my explanation of grinding my teeth to her assistant right in front of me and made me feel really bad about myself for the duration since my last cleaning. She used an extremely condescending tone about everything, including when I requested to have the pricing and payment for the extensive dental plan she determined I needed explained. Had an attitude that matched that of a highschool bully. Then when COVID hit, I was supposed to get them cleaned again and didn't hear anything. I called and left a message and texted wanting to reschedule to be safe about a week before my appointment and was notified via text that they canceled it until further notice the day before. Four months later (and long after I'd moved on) I received a text trying to reschedule. When I explained that I found another dentist I simply was told (via text again) "Sorry about that! Best of wishes..." Not professional at all. Even with COVID, they could have taken the time to communicate their plan. I never received a single communication in those four months. After the bad taste they left in my mouth (no pun intended), this was the last straw for me. read more

Having not had dental insurance for about 6 years, and a mouth full of bad dental work from the Military I was apprehensive about any dentist. I recently landed a job with insurance and found Dr. Farmers office via my insurance's web site. Her reviews seemed good so I gave it a shot. I showed up for my intake appointment and was greeted by the friendly staff. I immediately felt okay in their space. Kate took me back and took some x-rays and was super friendly. Dr Farmer herself was great. We went over all my x-rays, she totally took my concerns to heart and we outlined a plan for treatment. So far I've got nothing bad to say about Dr Farmer, or her staff. I am afraid of dentists. I went to this one because of the reviews. As soon as I walked in, the office was nice and relaxing, I could help myself to any drink I wanted. After being greeted by the receptionist and taken to a room, I was able to talk to the dental assistant, who was personable and caring, which helped my apprehensions. I was given a neck pillow because my nerves gave me a headache. All the usual x-rays were taken but also pictures my teeth, so I could see exactly what was happening. I've blown off dental recommendations before. But actually seeing the damage and erosion made me more serious about getting my teeth back into shape. I met Dr. Farmer at that time who went over everything with me, was very nice and knowledgeable about what was going on and why. She took her time explaining everything. Before I started having work done on my teeth. I was able have a parrafin wax treatment on my hands, a neck pillow and blanket. Being able to relax helped me to get through the procedure without being tense and fearful. read more

I have finally found my new dentist. Found this doctor after a couple of other bad experiences. Right as I arrived the receptionist came out and brought me the paperwork I'd need, and offered to get me coffee or some other drink while I worked on it. I've had worse table service at good restaurants. Once I got inside, the hygienist was nice and friendly. They did a careful exam and set up the appointment for my next visit in a very comforting and professional manner. Dr. Farmer is very nice, very personable, and appears to be extremely good at what she does. She seems fairly conservative in what she wants to do with my teeth, and when she's had to do a filling (just once), she was a very steady, careful, and calm hand. Her confidence and businesslike process made it as comforting an experience as having a tooth drilled can be. Finally and perhaps most importantly they've been great about dealing with my insurance. That's been a real plus, much better than my last couple attempts at finding a good dentist. read more

Amy is, hands down, the best dentist I have ever had! I had been waiting to get a permanent cap placed over a root canal, because I just didn't realize how important it was. Beware: They are very into selling add on services. Especially, the desensitizer's. At $32 per quarter this is very pricey water. It is in the irrigation liquid. I specifically requested not to get it but I got it anyway. The desensitizer is not optional. My insurance did not cover it. Walk in believing you will pay a premium and you will not be disappointed. The office is very nice and they did an excellent job. Just talked on a few dollars in extra profit. read more

Amy Farmer is by far my favorite dentist that I have ever worked with. I had to get two fillings done and the team here at Crossroads Dental was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was personable, professional, and kind. They have a station to get warming wax on your hands while you get your teeth worked on, which was definitely a nice and relaxing touch. I am a returning patient to Dr Farmer from about 10 years ago and I am sorry I ever left! Amy & her staff are enthusiastic, personable and for lack of a better word, happy! They really seem to enjoy being there when all us patients want to do is get out of there as soon as possible. No one likes dental work except weirdos. Anyway, the office is beautiful, nicely decorated and has a spa atmosphere. Speaking of spa, I was glad to see Dr Farmer continues to offer her complementary parafin hand wax treatment while they work on your teeth. I'm apprehensive about dentists in general because of some poor experiences and the general sales model of most, but Dr. Farmer is amazing, as is Julie and the rest of the Crossroads staff. Crossroads Dental has a policy that will charge clients for services unrendered. Trying to communicate with the office, I was either shuffled off to voicemail, where my calls were not returned, or I was hung up on. Despite this issues, they insist on sending me to collections for nonpayment of a non-service. I would recommend avoiding this office if at all possible. read more

I am a high stress patient. I get severe anxiety, and usually need meds just to get through a filling. After my first medicated visit for a crown, I realized that Dr. Farmer is no ordinary dentist. She has the softest touch when it comes to the anasthesia. So gentle and at ease, I didn't need any meds on my next visit for a filling. After my personal appointments, I decided to bring my 4 year old and my 7 year old in. Never have I had them both sit through an entire appointment without tears, and get the work done. Dr. Farmer and her assistant where awesome at making my little boys feel comfortable, and happy to be in the chair. I will never go anywhere else. And I refer all my friends as well. I loved my experience at Crossroads Dental today! My mid-day appointment started right on time. JoAnna did a very throu and gentle job cleaning my teeth - even while flossing around my permanent retainer wire and taking x-rays. Dr. Farmer was friendly and happy during my exam and offered logical and direct solutions to some teeth needing help. My last dentist was very personable but only ok and I really did not care for the office manager who did not follow through on things. I heard about Dr. Farmer through my sister who works with her sister. I have been very happy that I made the change. Everyone in Dr. Farmer's office is dependable and thorough. I received a full schedule of work to be done and I had a fair amount of it. We stuck to the schedule and I felt that everyone gave me the attention that I needed to address some unusual health concerns. I always feel like a welcome patient.
