My HGTV watching (Jasmine Roth of "Help, I Wrecked my House", in particular), introduced me to Quartzite. This magical material is wonderful for the wear and tear of kitchen counters, so I went shopping around several places in the Denver area. I can say there are quite a few stone providers with beautiful slabs, and helpful staff. But, I return always to The Stone Collection. Their warehouse off of I-70 is chock full of anything you could possibly want in a stone slab design solution. From granite to marble to quartzite, to premium stones like petrified wood and onyx, I fell in love with so many slabs that I had to enlist my son's help to figure out which ones to choose. The quartzite from Brazil seemed to fit my style. I ended up with Sauipe (named after a city in Brazil) for my kitchen and master bathroom, and some Baccarat slabs in my hallway bathroom. When the store in Denver did not have enough sauipe for my kitchen, I went online to the Stone Collection's website, and found a slab in Phoenix, AZ that would work for my kitchen island. For $150, they agreed to move the slab to the Denver warehouse for me. The staff in Denver was happy to help me choose my specific slabs, which entailed moving material around in the warehouse, and letting me gaze at them for an hour or more to choose my specific slabs. Then, they reserved those slabs for me for 30-45 days while the fabricator (Stone Hills, for which I've also provided a review) prepared to receive them, and they also moved the additional slabs from Phoenix to Denver. I may have missed my calling as a designer, as I loved looking through their warehouse and letting my imagination wander. While their website can be a good starting point, I found it flaky and hard to navigate when I spent a lot of time looking at many slabs in many different locations. Their prices also may be a bit higher, but not by a lot. The staff was quick to point out any flaws in the slabs, which was true in one case, and gave my fabricator a bit of a discount for that. Overall, if you are planning a renovation where counters or bathroom floors/walls are involved, I recommend that you spend an afternoon browsing through the slabs in The Stone Collection's warehouse, or at least go online to TheStoneCollection.com to see what they have currently available. Stock changes over time, and some are more popular than others. Learning about the different stones, and seeing the amazing variety may change the direction of your renovation!

I purchased 4 different tiles from Bedrosians for my home remodel. The tile for the primary bath…read morefloor was not all the same lot number and the floor had lines in it with the two different tile lot numbers. This required that the floor be torn apart, potentially damaging the floor underneath. They would not replace the tile and we had to order more and pay for the demo/retiling of the floor ourselves, which was a significant cost. Then we ordered tile for our kitchen backsplash based upon tile samples they provided for us out of their showroom. The tile that came in looked like it had bloody finger prints all over it - which were not at all on the samples. We immediately called Bedrosians and they refused to refund our money or replace the tile, stating that it was a special order tile. One that looked NOTHING like the sample THEY GAVE ME! This store is only interested in one thing... your hard-earned money. Once they have it, even if there are errors that are their fault, they will not reimburse you or take returns. Bedrosians cost us a significant amount of $$ and we are stuck with tile we will never use that has bloody finger prints on it. We will never, ever, buy anything from this store again, and now my contractor will not either based upon our experience. Because of the kitchen tile disaster, I had to hurry and find in-stock tile because the tile setter was there. I had a much better and less expensive experience with Floor & Decor, and I brought the tile I chose home with me. It turned out beautifully. Shopping at Bedrosians is not worth the heartburn you will experience from absolutely terrible customer service and policies. Go elsewhere.

Palo Duro,frankly, caries some of the best milled wood flooring products available in our region, however, I absolutely refuse to support them based on one thing, poor customer treatment. In every case where I asked questions, inquired about product, on the phone or in person I have been treated like a disease! One of the most terrible customer care experiences I've ever had, and I've been a wood flooring mechanic (journeyman) in 5 states and 3 time zones. Muscanell, Aacer, WD, are all terrific mills I am fond of using and I would love to be able to put these milled products in my clients' homes, but I simply can not tolerate the arrogant treatment whenever I've done business here. I admit that I would rather work even harder making less quality milled products from thier competitor turn out great for my customers than buy better product from such a terrible company to work with. Such a shame and disappointment....and I am not the only one who feels this way.

Absolutely the best selection of quality tile of any other store or showroom we have been to, with so many gorgeous and modern tile to select from almost makes me wish we had more areas to tile. ( well later down the road, upon our basement finish we will). Employees are extremely courteous and helpful and since our requirement for our quartz countertop was not available in a 1/2 slab, we were furnished with a list of potential customer's that may have remnant of the exact quartz we wanted, and bingo were able to find what we sincerely wanted. Note: Actual tile is shipped in from Washington to this location, they do have samples, but do not have much tile as a stock item, they do have an enormous selection of nice Quartz slabs. Yeoh! One door would not open. When I looked a small piece on the bottom was undone and the top was about one and half inches open. I called Mountain States right away. At this point the door was under warranty by the manufacturer and not Mountain States; however, Mountain States knew that the manufacturer would be unable to do anything until next week. He did not want me left with a door that would not lock. He sent Mountain States Building Products repairman to the house. Doug, thank you for coming. Doug reviewed the problem and after a long careful study determined that movement in the foundation caused the window to come off the track and out of alignment. He fixed it!!! spent over $1,500 on a small covered porch. first problem:…read more they did not call and leave any messages regarding the scheduled delivery date. as a result we needed to contact lowes to find out what was going on.lowes contacted nextstone and apparently they nextstone employee was very rude to the lowes manager. second: the delivery person was very rude! third: due to the above, the project delayed, had workers on site ready to work and nothing for them to do. fourth: they sent the wrong color of stone! fifth: nextstone did not send the entire order. missing all the corner pieces!!!!!! installers could not do the job, once again, due to nextstone's inefficient order processing. sixth: we called nextstone directly, advised them they did not send the correct color and the corner pieces were not delivered. once again, very rude employee, more or less accused us of lying about what was received. seventh: again spoke with manager at lowes regarding the above. he tried to remediate, but advised us, he too was treated poorly! eighth: nextstone never offered an apology, did not "own up" to their mistakes, nor did they offer any type compensation. buyer beware!!!!!!!!! the company seems to not care about the customer, at all!!! lowes was very helpful as a remediator, but they too were met rudeness.
