I love The Stone Collection. Over the past two years, I have embarked on a kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovation. My HGTV watching (Jasmine Roth of "Help, I Wrecked my House", in particular), introduced me to Quartzite. This magical material is wonderful for the wear and tear of kitchen counters, so I went shopping around several places in the Denver area. I can say there are quite a few stone providers with beautiful slabs, and helpful staff. But, I return always to The Stone Collection. Their warehouse off of I-70 is chock full of anything you could possibly want in a stone slab design solution. From granite to marble to quartzite, to premium stones like petrified wood and onyx, I fell in love with so many slabs that I had to enlist my son's help to figure out which ones to choose. The quartzite from Brazil seemed to fit my style. I ended up with Sauipe (named after a city in Brazil) for my kitchen and master bathroom, and some Baccarat slabs in my hallway bathroom. When the store in Denver did not have enough sauipe for my kitchen, I went online to the Stone Collection's website, and found a slab in Phoenix, AZ that would work for my kitchen island. For $150, they agreed to move the slab to the Denver warehouse for me. The staff in Denver was happy to help me choose my specific slabs, which entailed moving material around in the warehouse, and letting me gaze at them for an hour or more to choose my specific slabs. Then, they reserved those slabs for me for 30-45 days while the fabricator (Stone Hills, for which I've also provided a review) prepared to receive them, and they also moved the additional slabs from Phoenix to Denver. I may have missed my calling as a designer, as I loved looking through their warehouse and letting my imagination wander. While their website can be a good starting point, I found it flaky and hard to navigate when I spent a lot of time looking at many slabs in many different locations. Their prices also may be a bit higher, but not by a lot. The staff was quick to point out any flaws in the slabs, which was true in one case, and gave my fabricator a bit of a discount for that. Overall, if you are planning a renovation where counters or bathroom floors/walls are involved, I recommend that you spend an afternoon browsing through the slabs in The Stone Collection's warehouse, or at least go online to TheStoneCollection.com to see what they have currently available. Stock changes over time, and some are more popular than others. Learning about the different stones, and seeing the amazing variety may change the direction of your renovation! read more

Next lady that we delt with, was demeaning and as I explain to her it was her first time to granite shop and she thought I was or should've been experienced. Didn't care for her attitude. Wow! Disney for counter tops. Good grief! There is acre upon acre of marble, granite, quartzite... It just goes on and on! The inside of the building is nicely air conditioned, and while the showroom floor is like a series of fancy hotel lobbies, the warehouse area is less environmentally controlled. We cam in July, and I imagine that the heat we felt would translate to a good chill in January. Still, loads of options. No way to know the price, though, because the mob or something owns the entire industry, and you have to be a made man to know what the slab costs. Fortunately, they have a list of made men (they call them 'fabricators') who they'll tell the price to, then they'll cut them to order, mark them up, and sell them to you, basically. It's really kind-of bullpoop. I mean, I wouldn't buy a car if the dealership only told me what my cost would be once I took possession. Still, it was fun, wandering aisle after aisle, making fun of the 'super exotic' slabs that mostly look like something out of a pimps basement bar. read more

I am writing this so no one else wastes their time. After four visits we picked the quartz we wanted. The pricing they gave us (level 5 jumbo slab) played a major part in our decision. Also the fact we were able to put the slabs on hold since the rest of their inventory is low (a lot of what you see in person is already spoken for). I heard from our contractor today and the jumbo slabs are level 6, did they increase over the last two days? Also, they have two jumbos in inventory and one regular (that's "trashed" they said). According to the info sheet, it doesn't even come in regular slab sizes - what did we even put on hold? If they can't honor their written prices (price levels?) then they will not have our business. The positives are that the building is beautiful. In person, the staff was super helpful. We really enjoyed speaking with Shay on our second or third visit. This review is not a reflection of the staff in anyway but on the horrible management practices that give them license to charge higher than the displayed prices whenever they feel like it. read more

The Stone Collection offers RIPPING LATTE's, water, and a kids room with Disney Plus so my kids now love Granite shopping. If you have the time and are looking for a plethora of incredible exotic options or incredible natural minerals with thousands of options, quit messing around and get over here. We didn't ultimately buy our granite slab from here, so I can't speak to pricing. But I can say that the Stone Collection is quite the collection of all things granite, marble, and quartz. And tile too. The selection is huge, almost overwhelming. Be prepared to spend a good amount of time here. The Stone Collection doesn't sell directly to regular buyers, only to fabricators, but this is a great place to go for inspiration. Your fabricator can buy your slab for you from the Stone Collection. If you don't have a fabricator, the Stone Collection has a long list of fabricators that you can contact. read more

Large selection of slabs - granite, marble, soapstone, and exotics. It was nice to be able to wander at my own pace and see the full slabs to get a better idea of what I wanted. Pricing is by category, that your contractor has hopefully explained. When I arrived, I was greeted and given a short orientation. They give you a clipboard with an alphabetical list of all the slabs along with their corresponding price category. It was helpful to note the location of some viable options and then revisit those to further narrow my choices. The special exotic slabs are gorgeous! Way, way out of my price range but super fun to look at. They also had quite a bit of variety in the class 1 & 2 options (the least expensive). Water is available. Think they also offered coffee. Tons of slabs here for your consideration. No pricing, everything is based on the category /price level you have selected with your contractor/fabricator. Of course all the ones you're really going to love are above your category/price level and you can always get a rebid for the slab you really love. Everyone here was friendly and helpful. Lesson learned the hard way. Take many photos of the slab you select before purchasing and save to verify when your granite is delivered. You need to cover yourself with such a high value item and this store. What we selected and what arrived were completely two different colors, we selected white and receiver brown/yellow granite. Find your fabricator and if they don't send you here to find the stone of your choice then they might be crazy. We checked out several stone stores looking for granite for our kitchen remodel. This is the only place we found that was organized, selection was mind boggling, and the staff was amazing. Todd helped us the most, and I looked for him during our frequent visits. I have to say all the staff were courteous and helpful. They don't quote prices and there is no pressure for a sale. All the quotes and deals are for you to negotiate with your fabricator. If I had to do it all over again, I would start here to find a couple of different options I like and then bring the options to my fabricator to get a cost idea. For example there is a big difference in price from a level 3 granite vs. a level 6 granite ( 6 being more expensive). We will be doing our bathrooms later this year and we will come back. read more

I came in to spend thousands on a stone slabs and they have a nice collection to choose from. But beware of what I experienced recently: The sales associate that was attending to my sale, appeared to me like she was in her late 20's. I noticed how she looked me up and down and then talked to me and treated me like I was 'less than'. He behavior made me feel judged. She then lied to my face!! She told me only 2 of the 8 slabs were available, and therefor she would only move 1 slab and I had a choice between just 2 of the 8 slabs. She refused to move any more of the slabs because they were already sold. Bummed, I left and headed back over to Granite Imports. Out of curiosity and sensing I had been 'duped' at TSC; I called TSC on my drive to GI. Not more than 15 minutes has passed. The man on the phone told me all 8 slabs of the stone were available, none were sold nor had they been on hold! He warmly invited me to come by and take a look at them! When I arrived at Granite Imports, they kindly moved the slabs I was interested in. They treated me respect and dignity and let me make a choice. Consequently, GI received my business and money that day, and I love my granite. My experience at TSC was terrible. I felt belittled, judged and was lied to! I understand the reasoning why stone houses prefer to not move slabs, but when they are dealing with a serious buyer, they shouldn't let young, judgmental inexperienced lazy sales associates on the floor with serious buyers. Let seasoned sales rep's sell to customers, and position inexperienced green employees to answer the phones. Buyers are savvy and can easily confirm their gut feeling when they have been lied to. read more

We went to the Stone Collection while remodeling our mountain condo. We told the sales associate what we were looking for, and he showed us the area that had the type of stone we wanted, and let us look at our leisure. After making our selection from their extensive inventory, the associate wrote up our order, and said he would contact our installer and contractor. The correct slab was installed, and it is beautiful. Everything went as smooth as could be, and we received great service. I loved the selection of granite here. I fell in love with all the Superior granite selections not the level 3 that my budget was based on. I've noticed some of the negative reviews on Yelp. I have purchased granite for 2 kitchen remodels from Stone Collection. I used to look at other places now I just come here. I like how the granite is laid out and think they have better selections and better slabs. It's better to come here with your designer otherwise you will need to know your fabricator in order for them to help you and hold slabs under the fabricator names. Yes it's true you can't get pricing direct you will need to get it from your designer or fabricator. I am building a home and this will be my 3rd buying experience from Stone Collection. This time I went with my designer and had a great experience. Carrie at Urban Designs met me at Stone Collection. I fell in love with Sandalus leathered granite that was out of my budget. I had to have it! She helped me come up with a plan to get the granite slab I wanted by changing the perimeter countertops to Ceasarstone. They have samples of the Ceasarstone at Stone Collection. That way I could get the Superior Exotic granite for the island. It's going to be a beautiful kitchen and I can't wait to see it. I also fell in love with Medusa leathered marble and it's going to be in my master! Taj Mahal was another favorite granite. Princess White was another beautiful granite. Carrie found a salesperson and he came over. He had slabs moved for us so we could pick the perfect ones. We made all our choices for the kitchen and baths in a few hours, selected the perfect slabs and placed a hold on them. Now I have kitchens and baths I could dream about after spending a few hours at the Stone Collection. My advice is to bring samples of your cabinet and floor and make notes of your favorite granite slabs. Don't forget to write the locations. Stone Collection will give you a clipboard and granite level list if you ask for one when you walk in. I like to write ideas and make notes on this list. I also take pictures of the granite slabs I like so I remember them. Then come back with your designer when you are closer to needing the granite- make your choices and put holds on the slabs you want for your kitchens and baths. I think it helps to come with your designer to get better service. I love the selection here. read more

This is by far the BEST stone collection showroom in Colorado... Their selection is exotic and very unique. As you walk into their store, WOW, breathtaking displays and arrangements. As you walk thru the slab yard with their staff, you get to see hundreds of different slabs and colors in granite, marble, travertine, gemstone, limestone..I mean- a big selection, it's great! The store is super clean and the owners & staff are really helpful! Their store plays awesome music!! Really- totally awesome experience. If you are planing on remodeling, or building a new home.. don't hesitate, you are guaranteed to find a couple slabs that you will fall in love with! read more

So, who would be impressed with slabs of granite. Okay, me! I had been to Granite depot, last time i had granite installed. they had a very decent selection, but, had a problem with them, and wasn't thrilled with the idea of doing that again. I searched for granite, online, and found the Stone Collection. The store is incredible. So many choices. No hard sell, no pressure. You could probably spend days in there, and still not see every thing. I had to go back, so they could show me the exact slabs that were available. If you go on the weekend, they can not move stock, so you can see specific slabs, this may be important, particularly if you need more than one, for your job. I thought that it was strange, that prices were never discussed, but, in my case, I was okay with that. the fabricator is the one who actually deals with the Stone Collection. I didn't do anything, but pick out my slabs. I would recommend this place to anyone who was looking to use any of the products that they offer. If you trust your fabricator, you shouldn't be disappointed. I am now looking for my next project... read more

They sold us something that was represented as granite, but turned out to be marble. After much discussion, they decided to take it back without a restocking fee. It turned out to be an 'error in labeling.' Good selection here, but be careful what you buy. read more

We stopped by 3 times over 3 days. We ran into the same robotic, uncaring, monotone speech giver the first two days. Couldn't crack a smile for anything. Made her speech as if she's given it 1000 times and was done with it. The third day we requested to see 3 slabs. The guy, for he was neither a young man nor a gentleman, literally said on the third request that he didn't mean to be rude, but he was just moving stone. OK, fine. The Stone Collection has a vast supply of stone countertops. The problem is that no one tells you the process to purchase the stone up front. First you pick the stone, make sure you don't arrive on a Saturday because they don't have the right staff on hand to actually pull the slabs so you can choose. Once you pick the stone, they WILL NOT TELL YOU THE PRICE OF THE SLAB. You have to contact a fabricator to get the price. Once you know the price, you then reserve the slab through the fabricator where they will finish the project. The salesforce at Stone Collect say customers usually visit the showroom an average of 5 times before they purchase the stone. What they don't tell you is this is not because the customer doesn't know what they want, it's because The Stone Collection doesn't reveal it's process and wastes everyone's time and energy in the meantime. This place is amazing. The staff is very helpful and always there to give good advice. We had to visit 5 times to finally find the right slabs. Colleen helped us each time and she was outstanding! She took the time to listen to our needs and even took us out in the storage yard outside to show us other pieces of granite. It is special to find an employee that puts the customer first.
