I'd give this visit about 3 stars. The wait took a lot longer than expected and unfortunately the pizza wasn't even hot when I received it, which was disappointing. After putting it in the oven at home though, it actually tasted really good and the flavor was there. I just expected a better overall experience, especially with timing and food temperature. read more

Foremost, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Manager Ricardo, the staff, and ownership for the wonderful service and experience they were able to provide our family on our event date. The level of professionalism, customer service, and willingness to help didn't go unnoticed. Thank you for accommodating to our special requests, it made it an out of the park experience. We rented the party room for our event which provided great space for our guests, with televesions to watch the football games, and was next to the arcade games which was a plus! The food quality was superior, and came out in a timely manner as requested. I would definitely recommend anyone to plan their event here as it was truly a great experience. Happy to say we have booked our next event with them. Highly recommended, they didn't disappoint! Thank you Newman Mountain Mikes Team! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING NICKEL & DIMING CUSTOMERS UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! This Mountain Mike's in Newman has gone downhill since new ownership took over. I placed a phone order today using a coupon that was mailed to me. The person who took my order (I'm fairly certain he was the owner) honored the coupon over the phone. I even asked if he needed the coupon code, and he said no -- that he already applied it. He told me the pizza would be ready in about 15 minutes and that I could pay in person. He also told me over the phone that the breadsticks would come with marinara, and that the ranch would be free as the side for the pizza. When my husband went to pick up the order, he suddenly refused to honor the coupon unless he physically saw it and then tried to charge $0.50 per small container of ranch, completely contradicting what was already agreed upon. When I called back to clarify, he put me on hold and never returned. This was especially unprofessional because my husband was physically in the store at that moment and said there was nobody there, so he clearly wasn't busy. I had to call again, at which point he claimed that he never spoke to me to place the order at all. I told him that whether it was him or another employee, this should not happen to customers and he should address it with his staff -- though I am confident it was him who helped me in the first place. The call ultimately ended with him hanging up on me. On top of all of this, there are cats roaming around the property, which is unacceptable for a food establishment. This entire experience felt dishonest, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional. I will not give this location a penny of my support and strongly suggest local Newman residents avoid doing business here. Save yourself the frustration and go to Los Banos or Patterson instead. read more

Best manager ever!!!! And the food was amazing. If there was an option for 50 stars, the review would be 50 stars, recommend coming here if you're on a long family trip. read more

To get any of the deals, you have to order pick ups online they won't order them any other way if you try, but you have to pay with a credit card to check out on an online order. My wife was driving to be the one to go pick it up. I was the one trying to pay with my credit card, but she has to provide ID in the credit card at time of pick up. Explain this to the manager and the manager said do what you want leave a nasty review. I don't care so obviously they don't care about it or taking care of a customer. Get your food somewhere else. read more

Just drive to Patterson or get round table. Don't even bother with this location. I came in to order a pizza and get a salad, 6/6/23 around 11:50am, the guy behind the counter told me the price on the wall wasn't correct and it wasn't updated and I asked a few questions about the pizzas and he was not keen on talking to me about them. So I sat at a booth to make an order online since he didnt want to answer my questions about the pizzas toppings. I watched 3 different people come in and leave because they were in the back listening to music and didn't come to the counter. Another guy came in and had to shout for them 3 times before they came up to help him with his pick up order. It's not the first time I've had horrible service here, but it was the straw that broke the camels back read more

Horrible service manager doesn't want to honor coupons and heaven forbid you forget it at home they will make you drive back

That's it we're done! We have waited 3 hours one time. Wrong order the next time with the promise they would make it right on the next order, didn't happen. Tonight's order was going to be 55 minutes. OK Nope after a call to the store and they said it's out for delivery. Total wait time 1 hour and 37 minutes. Our pizza was almost cold. Not to mention they are really proud of their pizza it is the most expensive of any pizza from Gustine to Newman. Fair well Mountain Mike and Gods speed you need it! read more

We walked in , the place was empty and we were greeted with a rude " we're not taking orders right now ". No explanation given -The young man was quite rude . We will not order anything from them again! And giving one star is one too many , May 18th, Sunday, 4:45 pm read more

Lunch buffet was very fresh. The woman working the front end was absolutely amazing! She handled the front end very well for being left alone to do everything even bake the pizzas! Her coworker in a salty tone said to her if anyone wants more pizza you'll have to make them, I'll be back. The poor woman was already doing everything from answering phones, ringing up in person orders, handling the buffet, bussing tables and now left to cook pizza too. She deserves ten stars for her service with a smile and warm energy today. She's amazing! I believe her name was Peeta, I didn't quite catch it. But she deserves a raise for sure after the day she had today! I definitely wish I could have tipped her $100. read more

Decided to give mountain mikes here in town another chance with there wings.. very upsetting how even after writing it on the notes and calling in to make sure they read your notes and still doesn't get done the right way! The only reason why I even bother ordering from here is because their pizza is a lot better than other pizza spots here in town! But not sure if I should keep giving them chance after chance.. manager needs to start handing out consequences when orders are not meeting customer's expectations!! (Wings didn't even feel cooked throughly here are some pics) Can't and won't recommend mountain mikes at this time read more

I usually order from here once a month, usually its okay. Today I ordered online and the delivery time was 45 min, i called past the hour and they said its barely going to go in the oven so 15 minutes more, so the kid apologizes. 20 min later it is delivered but doughy and raw! I don't know who the manager is but you need to check things before they are delivered specially raw. Kids had pizza before I noticed because it has the same texture as the cheese and I hope they don't get sick from this unnecessary mistake by you guys. read more

Omg! The smell of sewage is disgusting. That cant be healthy for people to work in that environment especially around food. They refused to allow us to open the doors for fresh air as they used pinesol and bleach to mask the smell. We had to use the restrooms at the gas station next door. Their restrooms were Filfthy and the smell was unbearable in the bathrooms. It was so cold outside that we ate quickly and left. read more

On Friday February 14 my husband and I came home from work starving. We decided to order take out from mountain Mike's. When I called they said it would be an hour wait, but I agreed. After an hour and a half I called on the status and they said they were swamped and if it isn't there in 20 minutes I could call and cancel. So 20 minutes went by and still no pizza. So I called and cancelled the order. At 8:00 pm which was 2 and half hours later the delivery driver shows up with our pizza. I informed him we cancelled our order and he left. In the morning low and behold we see the pizza and partial pizza in the road in front of our house..So what the driver is pissed at is and tosses the pizza. HORRIBLE read more

We decided to take our food home cause we didn't feel welcomed. No wonder why this place is always empty. Food was good tho read more

Not surprised of their general rating. the pizza is alright, I've worked at many pizza places and I'll be the first to say they either aren't storing their ingredients properly throughout the day or since they're slow through out the week they are using old ingredients stores improperly. Every time I eat from this specific location my stomach hurts for a couple days after. Also they staff is very slow to responding to customers. read more

I've visited this establishment at least three times for the lunch buffet and the service is always horrible. Yesterday was my last. I don't know how this place is still in business even though it just opened. I am not picky, but they really only had two varieties during my visit (1 pizza, 1/2 Hawaiian BBQ and 1/2 pepperoni with meatballs)... c'mon, at least have pepperoni, cheese or combination! I was there with two other people and there was maybe 3 other tables there for the buffet. They must've brought out 1 pizza during the whole hour I was there. As soon as they brought it, it was gone! I asked the girl at the counter (who was hooked on her phone while the salad bar was completely out of lettuce) if they were making more pizza and she said they were, but it never came. I know this is a new restaurant, but three times?! Really? It was pretty slow for a lunch buffet but i guess i know why. I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere. It was not worth the $30 we spent. I wish I would've asked for a refund. Hopefully the owners realize how bad the service at this establishment is before it's too late. read more

Delivery since open has been 45 to an hour late even when I set delivery time several hours after ordering. So the day I work out at home and can't hear the doorbell during workout I put my delivery time for 10 minutes after my workout would end. I wait for 30 minutes and call. I'm told they were there 20 minutes early and I didn't answer. Why so early, they told me they were getting complaints about being late. I said then can you deliver it now? (I'm less than a mile from the location) and it's an 45 minutes prior to their close time. They refuse and say I can pick it up. If I wanted to drive and pick up Pizza, it wouldn't be Mountain Mikes. I told them I'm not driving to pick it up and they stated they would credit my card. They never did. Since that one day they are back to being late. read more

Disappointed in the new Mountain Mikes here in town. Ordered the Mountain sized Everest, 2 salad bars and 4 drinks. Our grand total was $68.53. A little much, but hey I dont mind paying a little extra for GOOD food. However, this was not the case. First, the ONE trip salad bar is $6.99, a little much for some lettuce and normal toppings. Second the cups we got for our $2.39 fountain drinks were like 10 oz. Yeah ok, you can get refills but damn had to go up there several times to refill since after putting ice in you only get half a cup of liquid. Finally, once the pizza arrived the middle was cool to the touch and the sausage was undercooked. At this point the place got slammed due to the local school graduations so we just left. Maybe they still need to work out the kinks but we wont be back. read more

I have been ordering mini pizzas at this place for three years now. Today they charged me 13.58 for an item that is 8.68. On the phone I also ordered mini churros so I felt it was factored into the price. Manager was extremely unhelpful blamed it on the system issues they were having. Long story short pizza was extremely cold and I did not receive my order of mini churros. If I could give this place -500 stars I would due to quality ethics and helpfulness. Came after they first opened and it was horrible, so we thought we would give them another try. Mistake and we wont come here again. This location is just as bad as the Patterson location. Thrown around pizza. So I normally don't do reviews but I was so disappointed with what I received I felt I had to so that maybe they can fix this and someone else doesn't get what I got. I called in an order for delivery and they came when they said they would but when I opened my box of food the pizza and bread sticks looked like it had been thrown around in the backseat of the delivery car. I feel that when you are paying more than $20 for your food it should arrive at least some what similar to how it came out of the oven. I won't be getting delivery again from them! read more

Even though Moutain Mike's policy is that "If you received bad food, let us know we will provide you with suitable refunds." I called to let them know the dome sandwich tasted awful and was not to my satisfaction. They made me drive back and return it, and because there was a piece missing, which was for tasting, the staff argued with me and harrased me about return. I didn't think it could be *that* bad based on the other reviews, but it really is. I placed an order online, was told 45 minutes, but it took a little over an hour for my delivery, then the driver forgot part of my order. To many fails. The wait is outrageous, gawd forbid any more people move here or you'll be waiting 2 hours or more. Orders incomplete so they left it at our door and left. We had to call them to figure out what happened and why no one called us. Orders aren't made right, pizza arrived completely ruined (like dropped). Then we call to give it one last try and after waiting 40 minutes we were told they ran out of sauce. How does it take 40 minutes to figure this out and that it will take another 20 minutes if we kept the order. This is unacceptable. read more
