The level of professionalism, customer service, and willingness to help didn't go unnoticed. Thank you for accommodating to our special requests, it made it an out of the park experience. We rented the party room for our event which provided great space for our guests, with televesions to watch the football games, and was next to the arcade games which was a plus! The food quality was superior, and came out in a timely manner as requested. I would definitely recommend anyone to plan their event here as it was truly a great experience. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING NICKEL & DIMING CUSTOMERS UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! This Mountain Mike's in Newman has gone downhill since new ownership took over. I placed a phone order today using a coupon that was mailed to me. The person who took my order (I'm fairly certain he was the owner) honored the coupon over the phone. I even asked if he needed the coupon code, and he said no -- that he already applied it. He told me the pizza would be ready in about 15 minutes and that I could pay in person. He also told me over the phone that the breadsticks would come with marinara, and that the ranch would be free as the side for the pizza. When my husband went to pick up the order, he suddenly refused to honor the coupon unless he physically saw it and then tried to charge $0.50 per small container of ranch, completely contradicting what was already agreed upon. When I called back to clarify, he put me on hold and never returned. This was especially unprofessional because my husband was physically in the store at that moment and said there was nobody there, so he clearly wasn't busy. I had to call again, at which point he claimed that he never spoke to me to place the order at all. I told him that whether it was him or another employee, this should not happen to customers and he should address it with his staff -- though I am confident it was him who helped me in the first place. The call ultimately ended with him hanging up on me. On top of all of this, there are cats roaming around the property, which is unacceptable for a food establishment. This entire experience felt dishonest, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional. I will not give this location a penny of my support and strongly suggest local Newman residents avoid doing business here. Save yourself the frustration and go to Los Banos or Patterson instead. read more

To get any of the deals, you have to order pick ups online they won't order them any other way if you try, but you have to pay with a credit card to check out on an online order. My wife was driving to be the one to go pick it up. I was the one trying to pay with my credit card, but she has to provide ID in the credit card at time of pick up. Explain this to the manager and the manager said do what you want leave a nasty review. I don't care so obviously they don't care about it or taking care of a customer. I came in to order a pizza and get a salad, 6/6/23 around 11:50am, the guy behind the counter told me the price on the wall wasn't correct and it wasn't updated and I asked a few questions about the pizzas and he was not keen on talking to me about them. So I sat at a booth to make an order online since he didnt want to answer my questions about the pizzas toppings. I watched 3 different people come in and leave because they were in the back listening to music and didn't come to the counter. Another guy came in and had to shout for them 3 times before they came up to help him with his pick up order. Lunch buffet was very fresh. The woman working the front end was absolutely amazing! She handled the front end very well for being left alone to do everything even bake the pizzas! Her coworker in a salty tone said to her if anyone wants more pizza you'll have to make them, I'll be back. The poor woman was already doing everything from answering phones, ringing up in person orders, handling the buffet, bussing tables and now left to cook pizza too. She deserves ten stars for her service with a smile and warm energy today. She's amazing! I believe her name was Peeta, I didn't quite catch it. Decided to give mountain mikes here in town another chance with there wings.. very upsetting how even after writing it on the notes and calling in to make sure they read your notes and still doesn't get done the right way! The only reason why I even bother ordering from here is because their pizza is a lot better than other pizza spots here in town! Today I ordered online and the delivery time was 45 min, i called past the hour and they said its barely going to go in the oven so 15 minutes more, so the kid apologizes. 20 min later it is delivered but doughy and raw! So the day I work out at home and can't hear the doorbell during workout I put my delivery time for 10 minutes after my workout would end. I wait for 30 minutes and call. I'm told they were there 20 minutes early and I didn't answer. Why so early, they told me they were getting complaints about being late. I said then can you deliver it now? (I'm less than a mile from the location) and it's an 45 minutes prior to their close time. They refuse and say I can pick it up. If I wanted to drive and pick up Pizza, it wouldn't be Mountain Mikes. I've visited this establishment at least three times for the lunch buffet and the service is always horrible. Yesterday was my last. I don't know how this place is still in business even though it just opened. I am not picky, but they really only had two varieties during my visit (1 pizza, 1/2 Hawaiian BBQ and 1/2 pepperoni with meatballs)... c'mon, at least have pepperoni, cheese or combination! I was there with two other people and there was maybe 3 other tables there for the buffet. They must've brought out 1 pizza during the whole hour I was there. As soon as they brought it, it was gone! I asked the girl at the counter (who was hooked on her phone while the salad bar was completely out of lettuce) if they were making more pizza and she said they were, but it never came. I know this is a new restaurant, but three times?! Really? It was pretty slow for a lunch buffet but i guess i know why. I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere. On the phone I also ordered mini churros so I felt it was factored into the price. Manager was extremely unhelpful blamed it on the system issues they were having. Disappointed in the new Mountain Mikes here in town. Ordered the Mountain sized Everest, 2 salad bars and 4 drinks. Our grand total was $68.53. A little much, but hey I dont mind paying a little extra for GOOD food. However, this was not the case. First, the ONE trip salad bar is $6.99, a little much for some lettuce and normal toppings. Second the cups we got for our $2.39 fountain drinks were like 10 oz. Yeah ok, you can get refills but damn had to go up there several times to refill since after putting ice in you only get half a cup of liquid. Finally, once the pizza arrived the middle was cool to the touch and the sausage was undercooked. At this point the place got slammed due to the local school graduations so we just left. Maybe they still need to work out the kinks but we wont be back. read more

Made me carry the sandwich around another day to bring it in to the day manager to make a decision. It was the worst experience ever. The food was not any good.
