    Pizza sauce

This place has been open for a few months. It's very clean and all new interior. There are some games to keep kids preoccupied while dining and has 7 TV's on the walls. They offer a $12.99 AYCE on weekdays of pizza and salad, not sure if that included a fountain drink. If you're not that picky with pizza, it could be a great deal for families. I on the other hand am, so when our pizza arrived, I truly wanted to like it. Somehow there was something about it that didn't touch my palate as expected for the price. I didn't care for the crust, too thick and not fully cooked texture and tasted like a frozen pizza but topped with fresher ingredients. There was no WOW to it, the sauce reminded me of tomato paste. The staff was kind enough to bring a sample for me to taste to see if that was what I was or wasn't tasting or the lack of, I'm not sure. It definitely confirmed that I wasn't a fan of the sauce. The sauce is what makes everything, if a sauce, a salsa isn't good, I'd probably not care for the food, it's basically how I judge a restaurant. I can say that they earned 5 stars for cleanliness, 4 stars for staff. He tried so hard to get our input and I'd assume he read our thoughts and/or feedback spot on. I'm not sure we will be back however I try to provide my honest feedback in hopes to help others make adjustments and become successful. I wish them the best!

This place was pretty legit. We did the buffet for lunch and it's solid. Many different choices of pizza that is hot and fresh. The dessert churros are amazing and the salad bar is limited - and could have more options. Staff seemed friendly and the place was comfortable . Overall highly recommend.

This place is brand new, in a location where predecessors suffered. Unlike a lot of pizza places these days, it's well suited to dine-in, not just carry-out, bright and clean with a lot of tables. The service is great, though you order at the counter. Other pluses include a real salad bar (a throwback to Pizza Hut back in the day), some games for kiddos on one wall, and I do recommend the tiny, curly, and slightly crispy pepperoni you won't find elsewhere. They have some really interesting specialty pizzas, like Mod Pizza but with better crust. The downsides are that it's on the expensive side (which might be ameliorated by coupons in time) - $25 for a 3 topping medium. Some toppings like fresh tomato and spinach might be better unchopped. And noise level is an issue, which games won't help. I'll be back.

Average pizza and average wings at a new location in cedar park. Definitely over priced.

Our server was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the place has a cool little vibe that feels relaxed but still energetic. We got there around 11:00, and by 11:15 or 11:20 the place was already lively and noisy, which honestly tells you people know where the good pizza is. I had the House salad with Caesar dressing, and it was fresh and loaded with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, mushrooms, black olives, mozzarella, and crunchy garlic croutons. For pizza, I ordered the City Pie, and those toppings were giving -- pepperoni, Italian sausage, spinach, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and bell peppers. I'm not usually a huge fan of super thin crust pizza, but this one worked because the toppings and flavor carried every bite. The girls ordered the Queen Margherita, and it looked just as good as it sounds with fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, Parmesan-Reggiano, and basil. We also tried one of the house sodas, and it was really, really good. Everything paired together perfectly. Definitely a spot I'd go back to again.

It was a Friday afternoon so we got the lunch special which was well worth the money. I think it was like $12-13 for a large slice of pizza and a side salad that was extremely generous. I would definitely come back. They also have an outdoor seating area with a small playscape like thing that looked great for kids to be entertained

Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The brewery is clean, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the beer is excellent. It's one of my favorite places to sit for a while, enjoy a beer, get some work done, and then head home with a couple of pizzas for leftovers. The online ordering system is also incredibly convenient. I can place my order before I leave, see exactly when it will be ready, and time the drive perfectly. Everything is hot and ready when I arrive. There are good local pizza places much closer to where I live, but I still choose to drive about an hour to Obsidian Brewery because that's how good it is. Excellent food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere make every trip worth it.

I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people. And if you are feeling chipper, You can even have a homemade beer to celebrate.
