Went there a couple years ago and a nice spot easy to use and the owner decided to have me back up a 25 ft camper uphill to a sit with a 90 degree bend. Gravel was loos and I started to spin my rear wheels to the point where the camper slid into a tree at the hitch! A seasonal camper cut the tree down and helped me to another site near the portapotties. Place smelled bad all week. Thw owner offer no money off my stay. When we went ho.e thw siding blew off the camper where it hit the tree. I have me MF'n this place every where I can. Bunch of nasty MOFOS. RATING ZERO read more

We were seasonal there for almost 10 years. Had a lovely site but the owner was elderly and we think management took advantage of that. He sold the campground to new owners and they seemed promising and nice, but it was clearly to win over the campers so they could reveal their true intentions after gaining our trust. They practically doubled the rates, placed several new rules in place and last year told everyone without an RV that they were no longer welcome. So much for loyalty. Be warned...if you aren't rich enough like them (they are from California and still live there, go figure) they will find a way to keep you out. After they took over there was a huge exodus of campers who were fed up and I know more that are planning to leave after this season. Save your money and avoid the frustration. There are a lot of choices out there. read more

New renters beware! We were seasonal 3 seasons and first one was with old owners. When new owners came we were optimistic and stayed. They don't communicate very good at all, have no security onsite in fact I heard a brand new camper was recently stolen from the winter lot, so sad for that new camper there. After the first year we decided maybe new owners just needed to get acclimated to owning a campground. The next and following season we were wrong, side by sides flew down our road constantly kicking up dust, they came and ripped up all around our waterfront site which we paid more to be there without any communication to which we never returned and lost half a season as it was all construction and we want to camp to enjoy our surroundings not to mention all the wildlife habitat that was ruined. They are money hungry and trying to make this a glamping kind of area. We really loved being on the pond/lake but unfortunately they ruined it by ripping it all up mid season. If we would have known that we would have moved the year prior and saved our frustration and money as I feel this campground is severely overpriced for what you get, but being on the water made it worth it. They are putting so many spots in now you will feel like you can touch other campers. More there are very "clicky" and won't even say hi. Save your money and pick somewhere else. read more

I agree with the other review. This campsite is more for the regular seasonal campers that have their trailers there year round. The people that are there are VERY LOUD. Loud music and loud talking from 6:30 am till 10:30 pm. The two bathrooms that are attached to the main house, both with red doors, are dark and not cleaned that often. At night there is not even a light on over the entrance. You can barely see the lake as there are permanent trailers all the time. Someone on the far side of the lake was kind enough to let us use his personal dock to fish on. There are not many things for small children to do. No hayride or activities for them. There are better camping sites in the area. Don't be fooled by the pictures on their website. read more

This place makes up pricing as they go form one season to another, you will be told one price and charged another. The park manager Beth has no accurate numbers and will tell you a price off the top of her head without having "authorization"as per what I was told..so why would she be the one showing potential renters sites, without having accurate numbers. Word to the wise any pricing given by these backward jack wagons get it in writing because, it seems as if the older aged management might possibly be having memory loss issues as well as extremely rude customer relations And the conversation that I had to address this pricing problem was nothing more than " oh well that's the price if you don't want to pay don't rent from us". I can't say enough bad about this campground. Office stinks of mold, mildew, who knows what. Access roads have obviously been used for mortar and bombing practice with truck swallowing potholes. Dump station is difficult to get to with a very tight turning circle. I was convinced that the camper was going to be stuck up to its axles due to gravel pad being years in neglect and the mud. Seasonal campers rule the place and they act like everyone else wants to hear their racket when they are at the campground. During the time we were there (almost a week), all we heard during daylight hours were saws and hammering. At night, loud parties. Sound really travels a long way here. Location is about 10 miles past being lost. We had a heckuva time FINDING it with the ONE Sign from the other direction. There was limited cell service (we had none). Web advertises wi-fi, well, there's wi-fi available, but you will NEVER get the password because the owner doesn't want to share it. Owner dodged my wifi question 3 straight times when I directly asked him during check-in and extensive golf cart ride. Don't expect a call back in any degree of timeliness if you leave a message. We put a lot of miles on our truck just going anywhere. This campground is REMOTE. It's expensive AND we will change dates we visit the area to never stay here again. Since we are still of the working class, we were concerned if we had to cancel and what refund policy was. It's simple, they don't. They *may* let you stay another time IN THE SAME SEASON. We live 300 miles away, it wasn't an option, thank goodness we didn't have that battle. read more

Beautiful campground with large sites. We have a 40ft camper and it fit in the site with extra space. Activities are nice, large pool and staff is very friendly. Our dog loves the dog park! We will be back next year read more

As first time campers with a brand new travel trailer we were picky about where to camp..... Unfortunately, we made our decision based on the website, and 2 decent reviews. The website alludes to many kid friendly activities, but in reality there was a sandbox, 2 swing sets, and a pool. There was no "sandy beach" as indicated on the campground map (there was a tiny sandy area that was a part of a permanent camper site), and the "hiking trail" shown on the map was no where to be found. The "petting farm" was a run down area with a goat, 2 sheep, a turkey, and 3 geese (2 of which had nasty injuries). The roads leading to the sites were a bit scary--narrow and had sizable ditches and ruts on Either side. Not a great trek for newbies!!!! This place is more suited for the seasonal to permanent campers who do not move their trailers and not for temporary campers with young kiddos. Just not enough to do, run down, and the facilities are lacking. read more

Camp there.. Priorities are confused...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before campsites are re-arranged or adjustments made for season renting...the priorities should be as follows... 1. Roads: fix the ruts , level ,and put down crush and run so they can be driven upon. Then widen them ! 2. Clear all the ditches : Which will allow the water that PONDS on the roads to be pulled away from the campsites. ! 3. Stock the store which has nothing in it......EVER 4. Fix the campsites that have standing water around the electrical boxes.. 5. Clean out the weeds around the Lodge and keep the entrance weed free and flowered. They need to focus on the access to the sites, before they even consider worrying about filling them. Especially with what they charge. We had friends stay there last year and their site around the Lake had standing water on it.. I was totally embarrassed. As I have said...They need to re-arrange their priorities . read more

We will never go there again. Overpriced. No sewer hook-ups. One dump spot at the office. Public restrooms are always locked. Horrible water pressure. Tree branches hang so low on the road it is impossible to get to your lot without them scraping up your unit. Entrance to each spot is so small we ended up in a ditch. No refunds. We wouldn't go there if it were FREE. We'd rather stay at a Wal-Mart! read more

This campsite is in poor need of some upgrades and attention. What the website shows is DEFINITELY not what it is. We were all excited to come and camp this weekend ( 6/3-6/5/16 ) and why a let down it was while we were there. The only good thing is the pool but we couldn't even use its bc it was so packed. They had a group there that wouldn't share the pool. They were throwing balls at everyone jumping in joy even caring who was next to them in front of them or beside them. No one around to stop any of this. If you have kids over 8 the only play ground isn't for them. It's basically for seasonal campers only. We were the only people camping with a tent and we felt so out of place. If you come here bring plenty to do to keep everyone busy or your going to be bored. VERY DISAPPOINTED and a WASTE OF MONEY. The owner needs to spend some money and to make his guests happy. I know we won't be returning. There is no one to to keep anything under control. It's a free for all. When we did get in touch with the owner Ben he told us to stop whining and suck it up. Nice business dealing huh. read more

Great Campground! Large campsites,numerous activities,awesome pool! We all had a great vacation! Fishing ,paddleboating and hayriding was alot of fun. Plan to return several times again. Water, electric, and yes, they do empty your sewer tanks for you, too! Cheaper than Jellystone, that is for sure. read more

This place is about as bad as it gets. Very muddy due to not enough gravel on the roads. Met the old guy that seems to own the place and he was very non responsive to load stereos blasting from campers within the park. Small sites and not level. A major ripoff for what you get. Traveling cross country to Newfoundland this was the highest price campground we found and the place was a junkyard. read more

Hey janine, when you made reservation web site clearly stated NO sewer hook ups. As for your hubby driving into the ditch, He should look for something smaller to drive .... after all he stated he did it for a living ( i assumed he drove ) . He should learn how to use a steering wheel. Well anyway we the campers who dug & pulled you out of the ditch also shop at wal-mart .... so we will watch for the "sunseeker ". Hopefully you don't get stuck on a curb or hung up on a "Greeter" :) read more

This place looks great on their website,but its not. Their 80' x 100' sites are not to be found, we reserved a site on the lake but when we got here I would have to squeeze between 2trailers, If. We didn't have a car to go do something we would have left the first day,nothing to do here, and the heated pool is never heated,was real cold. Don't camp here !!! read more

Owner decided to put us in a better spot. He made me jack knife my camper! I tried to drive forward and my wife said I was sliding off the road as the road fell out from under our camper. The camper front corner hit and bounced off a tree and then slid 2 more feet and the tongue hit another tree. A seasonal camper had to cut down that tree so we could get the camper back on what was left of the road!. I told the owner guy to take me somewhere I could drive into. He place me in a group camping area with a view of the port s potties. He said we entered at our own risk when I called a few days later. I only had a small dent in the front corner about the size of a tennis ball. Camper is 13 years old so not the end of the world. BTW this was our 29 anniversary. A seasonal guy invited us up for a outdoor movie and a campfire. They were cool and that made the night better. I have camped all over the Northeast. 3 weeks or so over each summer at 6-7 different places per year and this place is by far the BIGGEST DUMP we have ever seen.
