This is is a large area with several places to visit. We had a beer at the bar and then went to gift shop. Then headed to ice cream shop. We decided to come back later that night for pizza to go. You could hear music playing next door. Took quite awhile for our pizza but it was worth it. We had ordered fried pickles too but they were soggy by the time we got to cabin. They ended up in trash. This restaurant uses a horrible method of delivering food to the table -- each employee wanders aimlessly around the restaurant, looking for the number on the table. You can tell the servers are frustrated, both by the look on their faces as they wander around the restaurant, and by their poor attitude when delivering the food to the table. We order several appetizers and a burger at the line when you walk in. The appetizers came out very fast and were all very tasty. The burger came out in a timely manner as well. It was solid. What can't a say about a family friendly restaurant such as this one! If you're staying in Hochatown for a weekend or a little time away, plan a trip to Mountain Fork Brewery in your itinerary! First, the staff: These people are above average when it comes to a brewery restaurant. The staff works hard to make sure your food comes out and comes out correct, and they love to strike up a good conversation. I would compare them more to friends you haven't seen in a while rather than wait-staff at a restaurant. Don't be intimated to let them show you a little southern hospitality. Next, FOOD: I get it, you are just trying to find some good food in the area and not learn the whole backstory. Don't worry, I got plenty of good things to say about this as well. Burgers, Pizzas, Wings, Wraps, and Salads. If your stomach isn't doing triple axles out of excitement yet, just wait, there's more! The burgers are incredible! Warm, tender, juicy, thick. Everything you want in a little post lake meal. The pizzas are yummy and filling. The wings are huge and super delicious. They also ask whether you want all flats, all drumsticks, or a mixture, which I thought was a pretty clever and personal addition to the ordering process. No matter what you get at MFB, you won't be disappointed. Save some room and end the night with some cheesecake or red velvet cake! Third, DRINKS: I guess it is also very important to add a section about drinks when you go to a brewery! Large selection of beers on tap, lots of liquor, and friendly bartenders to whip you up whatever cocktail concoction you can think of! Get yourself a burger, get yourself a Mountain Fork Light or a Sneaky Snake, relax, and take in the Ouachita National Park air! Finally, atmosphere: For me, atmosphere can make or break a restaurant. I like to have a good time if I am eating somewhere for multiple hours! Nothing to fear when you are at MFB! Plenty of smiling and friendly Oklahoma faces, lots of live music, and views straight into the Brewery! I know Olive Garden has the "When you're here, you're family" slogan, but I think that really deserves to be apart of MFB! Instead, the slogan is "creatively crafted with you in mind" which is also very true! No matter if you take my word or not, go try for yourself and be immersed into a true taste of the south and their love of food. P.S. I highly recommend getting Wings N' Rings. Staff were friendly and helpful! The pizza was great (except for the sausage topping-not a fan). We stayed in a cabin and received a coupon for a free appetizer - had no issues redeeming it. My family and I had a great time here! We were a party of six and they got us in and out with ease. The pizza we got was cheese because that's all my 4 1/2 year old will eat. I liked how thin it was, and the Mariners they used was tasty - just a bit on the sweeter side. The cheese curds were also excellent. My sister ordered them and I ate far more than I'm proud of. We ordered a few other things, and they were all excellent. There is a good selection of beers that was fun to try. I'm not much of a beer drinker, so I don't know what others would like or dislike about them, but the bartender was friendly and I didn't have to spit anything out. The only weird thing was that you ordered your food in a different place than your beer. Maybe that's normal, but I was t used to it. Would come again! read more

We rented a cabin in Hochatown a few weeks ago and stopped by the brewery to try their beers. Over the course of two visits, I tried three different beers, and was pleasantly surprised by each of them. I had THREE RIVERS Blonde Ale, ROOSTER Mexican Ale, and TIMBER CREEK Amber Ale. From there it took around 40 minutes for our order to come out on a slow Monday afternoon. In addition, one of the burgers was incorrectly made so the order had to be remade. After some mild attitude from the service team the burger was remade and brought out in a fraction of the time it took to make the initial order. The food was subpar. This will be a quick review since we stood in line for 20 minutes and never made it to a table. So we stopped by on a Monday around 1pm first week of spring break. We had heard so many good things about them and wanted to try their pizza. Plus the beer is supposed to be great. There was one girl in the pizza area cooking and she seemed totally overwhelmed. Only half the tables were sat so we figured it would be a wait but we could have beer. What seemed like the manager was running around like a chicken with his head cut off barking orders at hh is employees.
