Updating to 5 stars because we can tell the staff is working hard to ensure a good customer experience. This is a solid breakfast option for anyone staying in the village. A wide array of menu options, plenty of seating, cute items to look at while you wait for your order, and I appreciated that the staff walked around from the back and brought every single person their order right to them rather than having the guests pick them up at the counter. A small touch, but meaningful and noticeable. We're excited to give this place another try and recommend it to our friends who are staying here. Original review: Paid for a sausage breakfast burrito and got a breakfast burrito with a lot of tortilla, and legit 0 sausage in it. For over $20 with tip, this is very disappointing to not have 1 single bite of meat in a pricey burrito, as shown in the photos. This was also not a busy morning, they were wrapping up giving a group their order when I arrived, and I was legit the only person in line. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it is a cute shop.

The smoked chicken salad was large fresh and delicious. I would order it again in a heartbeat. The smoked chicken sandwich was quite good, too. It's a little store with all kinds of things that you may have forgotten on your trip. You order at the counter and then they deliver your food. You can sit inside, too. I would imagine they do lots and lots of takeout here.

Stopped here on our way out of Tahoe on vacation and I can't say we were impressed. The place…read moreitself is really cute. It has a nice patio area and ample seating. The problems arose when it came to the service and drinks. The two guys working there were very slow. My family came in twice, maybe 30 minutes apart from each other, and both times they were excruciatingly slow. The second time they forgot to get us our food. Stop #1 we ordered two drinks plus a banana bread and probably waited ten minutes or more for them. Got the summer specials (orange cardamom and huckleberry rosemary matcha) and they were bland. Stop #2 we got food as well as another drink. We got the huckleberry rosemary spritz hoping it would be better than its matcha counterpart. It's pretty lightly flavored, which I don't hate, but it's a pretty basic, average drink. Nothing exceptional. We got the carnitas burrito, which was very good. Also got the banana bread, which was moist and delicious. Lastly, we got the yuzu beignet, which I wouldn't even qualify as being a beignet. A beignet should be light and airy fried dough--these were more like donut holes filled with yuzu jelly and covered in powdered sugar. They were $1.50 so, for that price I feel like they were fine. However, on stop #2, they seemed to forget we ever ordered food because we watched the entire line order and get served and our food was nowhere to be found. When we went up to ask them if they were making it they said they'd "check". Not sure what there was to check because all the food was pre-prepped. All they needed to do was heat up a burrito and some banana bread. They also never apologized for forgetting our order. Besides that, the guys working there were nice and pretty helpful. I don't want to be too hard on them because these guys were probably high school to college aged and it looked like they were definitely understaffed considering how busy the place was. The line was consistently to the door. Maybe the owners should hire some more people to help so the service is quicker instead of running the place with as few people as possible. We were also disappointed because at a lot of coffee shops or places that offer matcha they have puréed fruit for their drinks. We were expecting huckleberry purée in our matcha, but it was a rather artificial tasting syrup. It had so little flavor we had to ask for more syrup. For the price of the stuff there, we just were expecting more and we were pretty disappointed. The matcha also was just not very good. Cheap matcha is usually never good. Either buy the ceremonial grade from Japan or don't offer it. I don't mean to be a big complainer, but as someone from Florida coming to California, I expected our experience to be at least marginally better. The coffee and matcha I've had in Florida has been 10x better. Our experience there was just really not worth the hefty price tag that came with it.
