My friend got me the toffee nut cookie. It was tiny and misshapen but dense. The toffee inside was literally rock hard and did not go well with the rest of the cookie. I hope it was a one off mistake but it was a disappointing first experience. Wait time was also incredibly long. read more

After two trips to this bakery, I think it's time to write a review. It's tucked away in the basement of the Olympic House at Palisades Ski Resort, but worth searching for. It's a great affordable stop for breakfast or lunch. The bakery offers a variety of baked goods (pictures below), sandwiches, soup, and chili at prices that are very reasonable for a ski resort. Unfotunately, I haven't tried everything on the menu because I keep going back for their chili. The chili is hearty, has plenty of meat, and come with a breadstick on the side. It's $10.00 for a 12oz serving which is enough to keep me going for an afternoon of skiing. It's got a nice kick to it, but isn't overly spicy. It's a popular spot for lunch, so the seats fill up, and the lines get longer. The staff is efficient, so you usually don't have to wait very long. Enjoy! read more

An objectively terrible experience from all points! I ordered a breakfast bagel - it took 25 minutes to be ready! A bit of an atrocious wait. It seemed very poorly organized as there was a huge crowd waiting for their food - and the registers were fully staffed up - not taking orders ... just chilling while people are waiting an obnoxiously long time for their food. In addition to that - their breakfast bagel caused me to be seriously sick in the stomach for days. So come here if you would like to feel I'll for the rest of your trip. Really bad service! Food might be okay though. Spent 20 mins in line to buy a cookie pass only to be redirected to another line since only one cashier can process a cookie pass. I waited another 20 mins for that line and wasn't allowed to order food and add that order to the cookie pass. In other words save time placing the order with a cashier while waiting to give them $100-300 dollars for a cookie pass. I asked for a manager and she said offered to help but after standing around for 40+ mins I didn't feel like giving them hundreds of dollars. read more

Great find in the Olympic Village. My wife really liked the pizza bagel. The cookies were awesome! They must keep it warm because the chocolate was gooey and melted when I bit into it. The chocolate chip was my favorite but others in the family liked the toffee nut, peanut butter and chocolate, and the gingerbread. They also have a lot of other food options we never got to try because we didn't discover it until late in our trip. read more

We waited too long and there were plenty of workers at this time and very few customers. I wanted to pay cash and was told they discourage cash because of a national change shortage. Probably my favorite find in Squaw. My friend is a Tahoe local and 100% hyped up these cookies. I was pretty doubtful at first, and ordered 3 cookies to be safe. Meanwhile, my friend orders 10 without hesitation. The cookies were the perfect gooey and the perfect crisp outside layer. I tried to order a toffee nut cookie, however, they were out, and ended up getting 3 chocolate chip cookies. 3 was not enough, I wish I ordered 10 to bring some back home. Pro Tip: Go early so you can pick from a full selection of cookies. They were open 12-5, and we got there around 3 and they were sold out of a lot of their cookies already. read more

It's located on the ground floor, under the O Bar and back behind the Chamois. There's more seats by uostairs if the comfy chairs and tables are full. The cookies are always great, gooey yumminess. The tortilla phat is a high power brkfst with eggs. The tomato soup is tasty when your toes are cold. The line can look long, but if you move to the customers' left there are usually much shorter lines on that end. read more

Hidden behind the demo center. Not visible from the normal walkway. Always bench seating here and the breakfast and lunch choices are very reasonable. All less than $10. Fresh bakery/sandwich/soup items and large portions. Their soups are all good. Limited selections but they have tasty vegetarian options which aren't overly salty. Breakfast platter eggs potatoes toast or bagel and bakery goods. Fresh baked Cookies: Chocolate Chip melts in mouth. Lots of calories. Gingerbread man was crunchy, dry and had ginger/molasses flavor. Cinammon roll has option to leave off sugar topping. Very fresh. Large. Couldn't finish it. Lunch: Vegetarian tamales/Vegetarian chili. Delicious. Chili has contrasting texture between the hard corn and soft beans. Very filling. Good place to meet for lunch break as the ARC restaurant up the hill is inedible/expensive. Ski the mountain run down and practice turns before it gets too crowded. Kids behind counter all good. Can get disorganized. They lost my chili order. Get a receipt. Good kids behind the counter. I was walking around one morning and the smell of bacon led me to the door of this bakery. It was early and I was by myself so I had time to decide on what I was going to get. Day 1: breakfast bagel with avocado, breakfast bagel with bacon, eggstreme bowl. The coffee is Peets and I really like their coffee so it was good for me. The food was great. My wife is picky but loved the eggstreme bowl very much. Day 2: eggstreme bowl (LOL) and two items that I can't remember the name of. It was a pastry item, one had roasted pork the other eggs and something else. Sorry I can't be more helpful on it. The pastry with the roasted pork was fantastic. I could've eaten 3 easily, but probably not much else the rest of the day. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Absolutely wonderful little place and I highly recommend it. This is a great place to grab lunch and/or a fresh cookie. They have fantastic food combined with friendly and efficient counter staff. The place can be a little tricky to find if you haven't been there before. It's tucked inside Olympic House, just past the ski and snowboard school office, but it's worth finding because you'll probably spend less and get a better meal than if you head into one of the sit-down restaurants in the Village. read more

Just dreamy! These cookies are defiantly made with love. They are thick but soft and chewy like a biscuit. Forget the donuts, these are everyone's absolute favorite at our office. Our staples are the chocolate chip warmed up with some milk and the oatmeal cranberry for breakfast, or any time of day for that matter. ;) They freeze really well too so you can buy your favorites in bulk. Scharffenberger Hot Chocolate and chewy chocolate chip cookies. What more do you need?? They'll warm it up for you too if you ask so the inside is extra gooey and the edges still crusty. Yelped a lunch spot after a long day on the slopes and came across Wildflour Baking Company. We came here to try out their famous pizza bagels only to find out they ran out when we came at 3pm!! We were really bummed!!! Instead, we ordered the curry sandwich and chocolate chip cookies. The sandwiches come in 1/2 and whole order sandwiches, which are great if you aren't too hungry. Onto the cookies, oh my goodness, they are best chocolate chip cookies!! Yes, it's a bit pricey priced at $2.25 each, but well worth it!! Wildflour's chocolate chip cookies are a great way to end your day! Next time, we are going to make sure to come earlier to try out their pizza bagels!! read more

It is the best spot to warm up and have a quick lunch midway through your day of skiing. There is plenty of comfortable seating and fireplaces to enjoy your break. Even a small arcade area for the kids. I really wanted to write this review to share the wonder that is their chocolate chip cookies. They are the real MVP of Wildflour. Perfectly baked to leave your mouth watering for more. The cookies have found the sweet balance of crispy, warm, gooey, and soft. I bet you are wondering how a cookie could be both crispy and soft, well let me tell you. They are crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside, and all around magical. The cookies are $2 each or you can get a bakers dozen for $25. In my opinion its money well spent. If these cookies seem a little too expensive for you, fear not, there is another way to get them for free!!!!! All you have to do is win an Olympic gold medal in one of the winter events and you will be gifted cookies for life, easy enough right? read more
