We visited Syd's Bagelery & Espresso two days in a row, purely out of convenience. Finding street…read moreparking was easy and I loved the cozy vibe inside - lots of wooden furniture and music-related decor. They also had flags from all over the world hanging from the ceiling, signed by patrons visiting from those countries. I ordered the The Lox on an Everything Bagel, which was pretty tasty. I liked that the bagel was served open-face, so each side had salmon, cream cheese, onion, tomato, and capers. Very filling! I tried a sip of my friend's Strawberry Fields smoothie, which was also pretty good. Service was friendly, but not the fastest. The next day, my friends returned for another breakfast/coffee run. Unfortunately, this took longer than expected because the staff forgot about their Breakfast Burritos. However, they did throw in a bunch of free pastries to make up for it, which was a sweet gesture. I got an Iced Blackberry Lavender Latte, and it was fantastic. It definitely needed an extra shot of espresso in it (which I got), but the flavors were delicious. The free pasties were also very good, especially the Chocolate Chip Cookie! The Breakfast Burritos, however, were just okay. Overall, a decent option for breakfast/coffee, if you're not in a rush!

Another bike ride, another stop at Sunnyside. Unfortunately, they no longer serve the ribs... booo!…read more We both ordered the Seafood Chowder and split a slice of Hula Pie. The chowder arrived on the cool side, but the staff was very prompt about taking care of it, heating it up, and getting it back to us. There was plenty of seafood in every bite, which was great, but it needed some salt and pepper. I also think some bacon would have added another layer of flavor. I wasn't a fan of the focaccia bread that came with the chowder. It was more like eating a giant crouton. I think oyster crackers or a nice piece of soft, warm bread would have been a much better. The Hula Pie was huge and delicious. Definitely big enough to share! Despite a few misses, we enjoyed our visit. The next time we're biking in the area, we'll probably stop in again.

Was a bit worried they'll hit me sooner in high elevation, but was fine. Food wise, we tried their fried coconut crusted squid or calamari and their fish n chips. The fried calamari/squid were the flat kinds, similar looks to a flattened mozzarella stick. It was ok, def needed the sauce it came with. The fish n chips was one of the worst we've had. Very dry and dense fish. Ugh. The sauce and stuff was so much needed. Service was good though. We were seated promptly and our order was taken and food arrived timely. Would come back for the views and drinks.

They had a DJ in the back playing music and I looked online and saw the photos of the baked goods. My husband went inside and ordered us some frittata and was lucky to get the last cinnamon roll. The frittata was OK needed a little bit more flavor and was not completely warmed up. It didn't have much meat in it more spinach and some onions, but not that great to be honest. Would be better if it had a nice buttery crust on the bottom, but definitely a good item to eat if you're on keto or not wanting to eat too many carbs. The cinnamon roll was absolutely delicious. Everything about it was super tasty. You can't go wrong if you order this item. I got an iced latte as well and it was really good, just took some time to get it . It's cute inside with some nice none food items for sale. We bought our baby a Tahoe board book. Right before we left my husband asked if he wanted to get a cookie, because he said they were huge lol.... so, we got oatmeal cookies by mistake , instead of chocolate chip. The cookies looked amazing but were hard as a rock . We thought they'd be chewy but instead were crumbly. The cashier was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the person taking orders was little standoffish after some ordering issues. I don't think putting customer's who have an issue on blast for the whole establishment to hear is appropriate. Mistreatment of customers for such a forward facing customer service position, isn't ok. We appreciate the cookies being comped. We will definitely be back for the cinnamon rolls in the future!
