    brown trout

We went fly fishing with Luke. We had no experience whatsoever and he made learning so accessible. It was so fun to learn how to wade through the river, learn different types of casts, and catch trout! I enjoyed myself the entire time. Would recommend this outing to anyone, even those who do not enjoy fishing.

    Good planning produce good results.

Stopped in for some tippet and leader and was impressed with the help I received. Chris was right on point with some options and advice on my chosen water I was fishing. I'll be back.

Our group booked two guides - Mark and Luke. They were excellent and we had so much fun fishing Antero. My husband and I were in Luke's boat. He was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to help us land lots of trout. I had never been fly fishing or fishing at all, and I was skeptical that a guide would make that much difference. I landed 5 trout and my husband landed 7 trout. All of the boats hovering around us (without a guide) were not catching anything. I am a believer now that an experienced guide makes all the difference. They knew the right locations, depth, and lures to use throughout the day. Luke taught me to cast, set the hook, and land the trout. He showed us several styles of casting. Our friends were in Mark's boat and they also landed a lot of trout. Luke snapped a picture of father and son both landing fish at the same time - a double!

    Thanks Dave!

Revised: While we did have a minor snafu with one of our four guides, Mountain Anglers made it right.

July 24, 2023. Monday. Morning…read more This business is in the heart of downtown Breckenridge. It's conveniently right by the start of the bike path to Frisco. My wife and I rented two bikes on-line from them. Make sure you rent on-line because you get cheaper rates. We rented an e-bike for her and a carbon fiber road bike for me ($60 each). The technician adjusted both of these to our ride height and provided bike locks and helmets free of charge. My technician oiled the chain and made sure the pedals were firmly screwed in. He had me sit on the bike to make sure of the seat height. We biked from Breckenridge, around Dillon Reservoir, and back. A total of thirty-five miles in one day. This was a beautiful ride, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. See attached photos. The bike path had been groomed and you can tell Colorado cares about its bikers. The only dangerous part of our entire ride happened on the east side of Dillon Reservoir, where the bike path became a downhill road with lots of bumps and holes. For three miles we went downhill and the shoulder is non-existent. We started at 9:30 AM and were done about 3 PM. The bikes held up nicely and if the miles intimidate you then definitely rent an e-bike. You still have to pedal but it kicks in to boost you on the uphill ascents. Rent from Carvers for the excellent service and custom fitting.

Clothing is Roxy basic, with snowboarder gear and accessories. The women's Items are cute and tomboy, yet with sexy feminine colors. They had nice medium sized rollaway packs that sported all sorts of famous snowboarding brand names. The perfect bag for a week in Aspen or San Francisco or for a slumber party. The entire back room had the sale items and although it was tempting to look at the winter and snow gear, the busting 95 degree weather outside made the 100% wool sweater even more unattractive. Prana sweaters and capri's line the walls....The capri's looked perfect for climbing and the sweater would be perfect for giving you that "I am pretending that I just threw something on look, but I know I look cute, and my sweater is soft, so please pet me" look. Thick 50% off ski pants, and turtle neck sweaters... No wonder the selection was still large... Just seemed too brutal outside to even think about buying so warm. * Star one is for a awesome deck that I wish I had ** Star two is for snazzy luggage to encourage over-packing...
