When we walked in, our sales associate Michael was friendly, prompt to greet us, and genuinely interested in helping. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for and never made me feel rushed or silly about my beginner questions, even though it was close to closing time. Since it was my first time mountain biking, he walked me through the differences between a full-suspension bike and a hardtail, let me try both, and helped me find the best fit. I ended up on a small women's hardtail, which fit me perfectly from their selection and was a much more beginner-friendly option. It was obvious that Michael wasn't just trying to rent me a bike--he was invested in making sure I had the right bike so my first mountain biking experience would be a great one. That level of customer service really stood out. Thank you, Michael! We're locals, and this experience definitely earned our future business. We rode that day with a family member visiting from Oregon who is an avid mountain biker. She had rented a bike in Vail, and after comparing both the bikes and the prices, she said she wished she had rented from Pioneer Sports instead. 10/10 service and experience. If you're looking for a quality rental at a great price from people who genuinely care about getting you on the right bike, I highly recommend Pioneer Sports. I'll definitely be back!

I made my reservation online and paid for the equipment in advance. They have a variety of equipment options, I chose the performance ski package, but wasn't quite sure of the difference between packages other than price. The store was located in a strip mall and upon entering looked like a typical sporting goods store. When you make your way to the back of the store they have all the ski equipment. I was asked if I had a reservation which I provided my email. First, you walk up the steps on a platform where an employee measured my foot to determine ski boot size. When I tried the ski boots on, they were small so they gave me a larger size for comfort. Next step is to wait in line to pick up your skis and poles. The employee at the counter calls you in the order of boot measurement. This process was a bit time consuming and took approx an hour before it was my turn. They input information into a system and ask you some questions about how you ski, fast, experienced, beginner, etc and help you pick out the correct ski brand and length. My boots were very dirty and well used, but they did the job. The employee makes some adjustment to the skis to make sure your boots fit. The XX skis that I received performed well and I did not have any issues. Check in if the equipment was much more efficient and they just scanned a barcode on the equipment when we returned it and we left it in a pile and were good to go. Overall, I think you get what you pay for and this store offers functional ski equipment at a reasonable price. I do wish the process of getting the equipment had been a bit more efficient. The employees were very friendly and helped to make this equipment rental experience go smoothly.

She carries great brands-my cousin got a Chan Luu necklace there today that was gorgeous. I got some super cute things on sale there this past week-several tees and a crispy dressy tee by Michael Stars and a pair of 7 for all Mankind black stretchy jeans. They also carry Paige denim and Citizens of Humanity. They have a great selection of casual and dressier clothing. One of my favorite boutiques in Breckenridge!

They are very knowledgeable about their inventory and do a great job of helping you to find just the right outfit. Breckenridge has several great clothing stores to choose from, but Big City Blues is the best of the best!

Looking to finally upgrade my ski boots after 15yrs (yea, I know that is about 2x longer than I…read moreshould have been skiing on them). Podium in Frisco was recommended by several friends - just Wow. The ski boot selection is completely over the top. There must have been 30 different kinds of boots to choose from (total for both men's and women's). The team there (Reilly and John) treated us like royalty and did everything necessary to make sure we (i) got the boots that fit our feet (my wife has pretty unique feet), and (ii) boots that fit our ski-ability. The boots were molded to our feet, heels, etc. and she got a heating unit - pretty sick!! The price for what we got was super reasonable - I checked on the web while sitting at the shop and Podium was ~20% cheaper than what I found from virtually every online store for the boots I bought. I skied on them the next day and it was INSANE how much more comfortable I was and how much more control I had skiing. Yes, I said "comfort" and "ski boots" in the same sentence, crazy. For anyone buying boots or any ski gear (I also bought a new helmet), I highly recommend Podium. (I gather they do mountain bike and other cycling gear in the spring/summer)
