Prana sweaters and capri's line the walls....The capri's looked perfect for climbing and the sweater would be perfect for giving you that "I am pretending that I just threw something on look, but I know I look cute, and my sweater is soft, so please pet me" look. Thick 50% off ski pants, and turtle neck sweaters... No wonder the selection was still large... He and his store have the respect of his peers in Breckenridge. I left feeling educated about boots and their fit as well as felling personally served. The first thing that grabs your attention as you enter is the SALE items up front then as your eyes scan the store you see SALE items in the rear and good options in between. They have a great selection of helmets, gift items, boots, jackets, pants, gear and more. I cannot remember all of the brands, but the ones that stuck out were Kodiak, Swix and Rossignol. It was funny because the store manager was not available and had the password to the register so the employee and us patrons started conversing between each other with not a care in the world even though a line started forming. No attitudes just positive vibes and sunshine. Once the manager (Shannon) returned, she had a couple of coffees for her and the employee jokingly informing us if we wanted coffee for the wait, it would be her treat. That was cool! Which isn't ideal when you have to carry it all back and forth. When we went to pick it up, it was really crowded. The place itself isn't big, everyone is lined up, didn't really understand what line is for what but eventually we all figured it out. You self checked in on the computer to pick up a ticket, then you line up to get your boots fitted. It was only one man working on that section and he was pretty efficient. After that, you wait a little longer, they measure you for your ski length and poles and off you go. When you come back to drop it off, you line up your boots and line up again to get checked out. They didn't really check any of the equipments if they were in good shape or not. However we did pay $1 extra for damage control. Which is nothing. Overall, it was little hectic but with some patience, you will be alright.

A bit intimidating when you first walk in; generally someone will approach you to ask what you are looking for. We can to rent skis and snowboarding gear for our first go at the sport. You fill out a questionnaire then get escorted to find a helmet then the boot station. I initially went with skis, unfortunately it seemed like no one there was knowledgeable in skiing to give me pointers or to teach me how to get in n out of the skis. A key factor in my foreseeable future. My Fiancé went with snowboarding and said they went into great detail with him about riding and making sure he was comfortable getting in and out his board. One great perk they offer is unlimited swap outs. So I was able to change to snowboarding when skiing wasn't working out as easily as I hoped. They rent everything except goggles so keep that in mind or buy some from amazon. Otherwise, you'll be sending like $40+ on a one time use Note: Ski Boots are horrrribly uncomfortable.

We watched a safety video, signed a waiver, paid, then loaded up in the shuttles for a ride to the Vail Pass starting point. The first mile or so of the ride are switchbacks, so go slowly. Then coast on the straightaway to Copper Mountain. Get a chair to view the ski area. Restaurants and coffee shops are around, plus restrooms. Then ride into Fresco. Be sure to stop at the free museum with the log buildings. So fun! Mornings are cool, so wear long sleeves or a jacket. Jeans or leggings or on warmer days, shorts are fine. Afternoon rides can get rained on. The team at Alpine Sports are helpful and friendly. We recognize their faces after riding for many years. If you do one activity other than hiking, make this ride a must. Reserve your bikes online and get a discount!
