We watched a safety video, signed a waiver, paid, then loaded up in the shuttles for a ride to the Vail Pass starting point. The first mile or so of the ride are switchbacks, so go slowly. Then coast on the straightaway to Copper Mountain. Get a chair to view the ski area. Restaurants and coffee shops are around, plus restrooms. Then ride into Fresco. Be sure to stop at the free museum with the log buildings. So fun! Mornings are cool, so wear long sleeves or a jacket. Jeans or leggings or on warmer days, shorts are fine. Afternoon rides can get rained on. The team at Alpine Sports are helpful and friendly. We recognize their faces after riding for many years. If you do one activity other than hiking, make this ride a must. Reserve your bikes online and get a discount!

This place was the cheapest online when we booked our ski/snowboarding rentals. Parking isn't great…read moreas it's right on the Main Street so you might have to park far from this place. Which isn't ideal when you have to carry it all back and forth. When we went to pick it up, it was really crowded. The place itself isn't big, everyone is lined up, didn't really understand what line is for what but eventually we all figured it out. You self checked in on the computer to pick up a ticket, then you line up to get your boots fitted. It was only one man working on that section and he was pretty efficient. After that, you wait a little longer, they measure you for your ski length and poles and off you go. When you come back to drop it off, you line up your boots and line up again to get checked out. They didn't really check any of the equipments if they were in good shape or not. However we did pay $1 extra for damage control. Which is nothing. Overall, it was little hectic but with some patience, you will be alright.

He made custom insoles for my hiking boots in a half of an hour, and ended up doing four modifications throughout the day to ensure that they were just right. I've never had custom insoles before and had avoided it because I had heard that they can cost over $500 a pop and take a long time. These cost $240 and were super fast with amazing customer service. They also do custom ski and snowboard boot insoles, which I will definitely do when the time comes. I was a bit of a persnickety pain, but Ollie was completely great! I was able to enjoy the remainder of my trip and not miss out. Thank you, Surefoot and Ollie!

Instead, it took over 50 minutes to get them. One incompetent employee was running the show alone, and when a second college aged worker finally showed up, he immediately started helping walk-ins who came long after us. All we needed was two kids' bikes fitted appropriately, two helmets, and a bike lock. Instead, we got a slow-motion circus. The lock was forgotten entirely, which made for an interesting lunch experience. A couple with no reservation showed up, got their bikes, and were on their way with in minutes. Then a group of 15 walked in and were helped immediately--while we were still standing there trying to get one hand brake adjusted by a guy clearly more interested in eating his brunch food than helping his customers. What happened next is what makes this shop not just frustrating, but outright dangerous. We pointed out that my son's bike was making a loud squealing noise before we even left, but they dismissed it as "fine." It absolutely wasn't. The bike emitted piercing, high-pitched screeching sounds for the entire seven hours (see video). Then.....my son's entire BACK WHEEL FELL OFF mid-ride. Let that sink in: the back wheel of a kids' bike came unhinged while riding downhill. We were extremely lucky it didn't result in a serious injury. That kind of failure is inexcusable and a clear sign of negligence with zero safety protocols. Thankfully, we know a little about bikes and could safely reattach the wheel since we were 10-15 miles away from the shop. This place is a liability nightmare and a customer service disaster. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. There are far better, safer, more competent bike rental shops all over town. This one should be avoided at all costs.

When we arrived, there was only one employee working (Mike) and another group ahead of us, so we waited about 15 minutes before the rental process could begin. Once we were helped, we were informed that the small bike we had reserved was unavailable. Mike then spent roughly 30 minutes trying to repair another small bike in the back. After he brought it out, we did a test ride in the parking lot, but the bike immediately displayed an error code. We were then told it would not provide any pedal-assist power. At that point, we gave up on getting a working bike from Breckenridge Ski & Sport and went across the street to another rental shop. Remarkably, they had a properly sized bike ready for us almost immediately. Once we got on the trail, the three bikes rented from Breckenridge Ski & Sport all felt noticeably underpowered compared to the bike from the other shop, which easily outperformed them throughout the ride. The online reservation process was straightforward, but the experience at the store was frustrating and disappointing. Reserving specific bike sizes weeks in advance should ensure those bikes are available and in working condition when customers arrive. I appreciate Mike's efforts to solve the problem, but the lack of preparation and equipment readiness significantly impacted our experience.

Visited this store in January 2019 after we discovered we left our GoPro at home, Joe one of the salesman helped solve my problem and sold me another GoPro, this store stocks everything you will need for a GoPro. May 29 2019 we visited the store again to gain information about these beautiful "red" bikes sitting outside. The weather surprisingly was cold, snowy for this time of year. We inquired with Joe who did remember us from January about the bikes. The brand Pedigo are electric. He checked the weather for us for the next day riding, and said it was to be sunny and 50 till around noon. He offered to come in early to get us started. He did in fact come in early and Joe along with Devin got us started and on our way. Now a beautiful mountain town with hills and a bike...well with the pedigo electric bike a 10% incline is no problem. We enjoyed and the service was excellent. read more

We had a family group of flat landers and wanted to go on a bike ride from Breckenridge to Frisco and back. Given our state of conditioning this would not have been possible with a regular bike. We rented e-bikes from Craniologie. The staff their; Paul, Chris and Joe were so helpful in getting us checked-in and familiarized with the operation of the bikes and on our way. Our group ranged in age and ability level from 8 yrs of age to 80 and beginner to expert ability. Everyone was able operate the bike and Chris specifically took the time to make sure everyone could safely operate the bike. It was a beautiful day and the trip to and from Frisco gave as all a nice workout without exhausting any of us. I highly recommend trying the e-bikes at Crainiologie. read more

After searching high and low for a stylish and perfect helmet for my girlfriend, I found one at Crainologie. But it was a few months before noticing that it had a defect. I Contacted Craniologie via their email contact to ask if they would exchange it. It was only about two hours later Paul returned my message explaining it was no problem, would exchange for an upgrade of the same style and color, and included a free shipping label to send the old one back. I received the new replacement about three days later and had exceptional communications throughout the transaction. I wish every retailer was this good! I will defiantly shop here again! Went in last night to purchase helmet and 2 pair goggles. and spent a lot of money. There was one gentleman working and as we walked in he was slumped on the counter looking bored out of his mind. No greeting, no offer to help. I had to ask for help and than he was sort of accommodating but very disinterested throughout the process and could have cared less if we bought or not. For us making this purchase was an big deal and it sort of ruined the experience. Not the usual Breck friendliness. read more

I would NOT recommend purchasing anything from this store. They are an Oakley registered store and will not allow any returns regardless of Oakleys return policy. Very poor customer service and treated poorly on phone. Be very careful of their return policy. Oakley allows returns within 30 days to the Oakley registered store however, they don't follow that policy. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! read more

It was obvious that Michael wasn't just trying to rent me a bike--he was invested in making sure I had the right bike so my first mountain biking experience would be a great one. That level of customer service really stood out. Thank you, Michael! We're locals, and this experience definitely earned our future business. We rode that day with a family member visiting from Oregon who is an avid mountain biker. She had rented a bike in Vail, and after comparing both the bikes and the prices, she said she wished she had rented from Pioneer Sports instead. 10/10 service and experience. Podium in Frisco was recommended by several friends - just Wow. The ski boot selection is completely over the top. There must have been 30 different kinds of boots to choose from (total for both men's and women's). The team there (Reilly and John) treated us like royalty and did everything necessary to make sure we (i) got the boots that fit our feet (my wife has pretty unique feet), and (ii) boots that fit our ski-ability. The boots were molded to our feet, heels, etc. and she got a heating unit - pretty sick!! The price for what we got was super reasonable - I checked on the web while sitting at the shop and Podium was ~20% cheaper than what I found from virtually every online store for the boots I bought. I skied on them the next day and it was INSANE how much more comfortable I was and how much more control I had skiing. Yes, I said "comfort" and "ski boots" in the same sentence, crazy. For anyone buying boots or any ski gear (I also bought a new helmet), I highly recommend Podium. (I gather they do mountain bike and other cycling gear in the spring/summer)

Once the manager (Shannon) returned, she had a couple of coffees for her and the employee jokingly informing us if we wanted coffee for the wait, it would be her treat. That was cool! Sooo... let me temper your expectations Main Street Outlet is an outlet and has good prices for the quality of their items, but I would say it is more of a Premium Outlet which the prices are way better and they have a better selection than most of the stores seen on this visit.
