(Thanks to the locals who told me about this place). The first thing that grabs your attention as you enter is the SALE items up front then as your eyes scan the store you see SALE items in the rear and good options in between. From perusing different stores along Main St, with this beacon of hope at the front door I was already winning!!! They have a great selection of helmets, gift items, boots, jackets, pants, gear and more. I cannot remember all of the brands, but the ones that stuck out were Kodiak, Swix and Rossignol. It was funny because the store manager was not available and had the password to the register so the employee and us patrons started conversing between each other with not a care in the world even though a line started forming. No attitudes just positive vibes and sunshine. Once the manager (Shannon) returned, she had a couple of coffees for her and the employee jokingly informing us if we wanted coffee for the wait, it would be her treat. That was cool! Sooo... let me temper your expectations Main Street Outlet is an outlet and has good prices for the quality of their items, but I would say it is more of a Premium Outlet which the prices are way better and they have a better selection than most of the stores seen on this visit.

This place was the cheapest online when we booked our ski/snowboarding rentals. Parking isn't great…read moreas it's right on the Main Street so you might have to park far from this place. Which isn't ideal when you have to carry it all back and forth. When we went to pick it up, it was really crowded. The place itself isn't big, everyone is lined up, didn't really understand what line is for what but eventually we all figured it out. You self checked in on the computer to pick up a ticket, then you line up to get your boots fitted. It was only one man working on that section and he was pretty efficient. After that, you wait a little longer, they measure you for your ski length and poles and off you go. When you come back to drop it off, you line up your boots and line up again to get checked out. They didn't really check any of the equipments if they were in good shape or not. However we did pay $1 extra for damage control. Which is nothing. Overall, it was little hectic but with some patience, you will be alright.

We followed all the instructions and returned and locked up the bikes in Frisco and my daughter in law called the shop and they said the shuttle driver was leaving the shop and would pick us up and bring us back. We waited about 20 minutes and saw the shuttle pull up and went out and said we were there to be taken back. The shuttle driver would hardly speak to us and said he wasn't there to bring us back. We explained we had our 18 month old grand daughter and had just spoken to the shop and were told he would bring us back. We asked him to call the shop and confirm. He made a call to someone and then proceeded to ignore us. I approached him and said we have been standing here for 10 minutes while you were on the phone and you continued to ignore us. HE said you have to take the municipal bus back to Breckenridge and would not help us. I went and told my family of five we would have to take the bus back instead. As we walked out we were uncertain of where to find the bus and the shuttle driver was back in the van and wouldn't even tell us where to catch the bus. I wrote to Mountain Wave and told them of the experience and never heard back from them. Really sad because this was the 3rd or 4th time we had rented from them, but we will never go back to them. A bit intimidating when you first walk in; generally someone will approach you to ask what you are looking for. We can to rent skis and snowboarding gear for our first go at the sport. You fill out a questionnaire then get escorted to find a helmet then the boot station. I initially went with skis, unfortunately it seemed like no one there was knowledgeable in skiing to give me pointers or to teach me how to get in n out of the skis. A key factor in my foreseeable future. My Fiancé went with snowboarding and said they went into great detail with him about riding and making sure he was comfortable getting in and out his board. One great perk they offer is unlimited swap outs. So I was able to change to snowboarding when skiing wasn't working out as easily as I hoped. They rent everything except goggles so keep that in mind or buy some from amazon. Otherwise, you'll be sending like $40+ on a one time use Note: Ski Boots are horrrribly uncomfortable.

They are also quick if something does not work out and you need to swap... boots or a snowboard length, etc. The best part is that the info is stored in the system so when we return the following trip it makes online reservations even easier!!!
