After interviewing at least 5 landscaping companies, we hired Mott Restoration because Jeff not only understood our vision for our front and back yard, he was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the project. Jeff has a strong background in organic gardening a really knows native plants. His quote was not the lowest, but he was flexible about what could get done within our budget and worked to make it happen. Most importantly, I trusted him to do quality work and to keep me apprised of how it was going.
In the front yard Jeff & his team added a new drip irrigation system, decomposed granite paths, a swale drain system along one side of the house that moves water from the roof to the yard, 20+ native plants were planted, they used soil from the backyard to build a raised mound where we planted a manzanita tree (which is still alive!), and then added mulch.
In the backyard drip irrigation was also added. The origin plan was to use cement-look pavers to create a patio area and walkway from it to the house. Jeff's guy recommended pouring cement pavers instead, which was better because we got exactly the size and spacing that we wanted. they planted a Kurapia lawn and added gravel between the pavers (this part of the project is ongoing), then they added mulch around the perimeter of the yard.
Our outdoor space is now 100% more comfortable, useable, and inviting than it was before. We really love what we created and plan to hire Mott Restoration for additional projects (new fence and more grave!) in the future. read more
