**I walked out and bought somewhere else** I recently drove over 5 hours round trip to see a 2022 Husqvarna FE 350 that was advertised as fully serviced and in great condition. I was told multiple times over the phone that it had received a full service, including an oil change, valve check, and new coolant. When I arrived, the hour reading was higher than quoted, and the shop owner, Dan, refused to provide any written record of the service he claimed had been done. I asked politely several times and was dismissed with, "What do you need it for anyway?" It's disappointing to be told one thing over the phone and then treated like I'm asking too much for simply trying to verify the work. This wasn't just an inconvenience -- it speaks to trust and integrity, which are critical in used powersports sales. Dan might claim that it doesn't work that way but I've purchased dozens of new and used bikes over the years and any dealer that refuses to give a maintenance record on a bike they sold new and then supposedly did a full service on gets a 10/10 on my sketch meter and I walked away. That said, I ended up buying a brand new bike from my local dealer, who gave me a great deal -- no BS, no power trip. read more

I really love the vibe of this bike store. The clerk Bryson is totally chill and has a lot of great info to share. The Annex is the bicycle side of the Motoxotica business. This store features traditional bikes, pedal assist bikes for all ages, and also purely electric throttle based bikes for small kids. Had only come to check out this bike shop along with the other shops in the area. I was immediately struck by the 80's pop culture artwork and the huge assortment of fun looking and unique bikes. Also a very cool 80's themed selection. The lineup is really an eclectic bunch of modernized classics. The color schemes and build quality of these bikes takes me back to summers past, riding bikes all day until the sun went down. They of course also have some electric bikes, and a huge wall of competitively priced accessories. This is really a store you can spend a lot of time browsing and find something neat to catch your fancy. The assortment is really unique, and also very well priced. I got hooked on some wheel accessories, and I was glad to take it home right then and there. The photos speak for themselves, but definitely come check this place out if you are looking for a bike for yourself or as a gift. My cousin bought a bike that was too tall and needed it lowered. So he contacts this place, talks to I believe Dan about his issues and Dan puts in an order for a lowering kit. Kit comes in so I ride the bike for him to the shop and drop it off. Few days later I go in to pick up the bike and I notice off top it isn't lowered much but my cousin isn't there with me so I cant have him jump on and tell me if it'll work or not. So I take it home to him. The bike is not lowered at all, in fact it is taller by about a half inch, not much but still. Especially since he came to them to get the bike lowered. On the receipt, it says "lowering kit" but it does not lower the bike at all. It raised the bike. He contacts the shop and let's them know that it isn't lowered at all and they tell him they cant lower it anymore without damaging the bike. THEN WHY DID THEY SELL HIM A LOWERING KIT when they couldn't lower the bike?? So now my cousin is out all this money and has a bike that is taller than it was to begin with! Will never go back and I will warn others about this place! read more

Just bought a bike here today. I'm a beginner cyclist and told Bryson what I was looking for and my price range. He showed me two bikes at different ends of the spectrum and let me test-ride both of them. He explained the differences, pros, and cons for each bike. Never once did he make me feel uncomfortable about asking the most basic of questions that more experienced riders would probably roll their eyes at. Both times my friends decided to inquire here "Dan" (whoever the sales guy is) was only friendly during the initial conversation when you're giving general info & talking credit scores. Once you don't qualify he won't even give you a call back or heads-up. A call back that should've happened in 30 mins took 3 days for both inquires. He said "a 700(750 is what their accounts show) isn't as good as a score as you think it is." Overall just a very unprofessional experience. read more

The worst customer service. After spending over $6,000 in this shop you would think they would appreciate your business. Every time I've contacted them since they act like it's a complete inconvenience to deal with us. They lost the original DMV papers and I still don't have my pink from our purchase in June. I called to check in today and all I got was attitude. I finally told them how awful their customer service is. Bought a BUddy 125 from them last spring. Super helpful through the process. I was bad and did not charge the battery at all during the first year so it died died, charging could not bring it back to life. Kickstarted it and brought it in, installed the new battery for me and a little plug in to make charging easier so I wont wait a full year to do it next time. Ask around, though, and invariably Motoxotica will become one of the first shops that is mentioned. If you frequent the online Husqvarna forums, you'll find his shop recommended there too. Dan Blum owns this tiny dealership hidden in old downtown Vacaville. He carries and services small exotic brands like Husaberg, Husqvarna, and VOR, among others. Dirt bikes as well as supermoto. He has a small selection of dirt gear on display as well. But it belies how much inventory he has of OEM parts. Broke a shift lever? Need a new turn signal relay? Chances are, he has it, and will ship it out on the same day. (One time, a part arrived so quickly, I coulda sworn I had ordered it just earlier that day! In addition to his other talents, Dan appears to have figured out the secrets of the space-time continuum as well.) Dan gave me a great price on my Husqvarna SM610, and his prices for OEM and aftermarket parts have been extremely reasonable. Bikes, parts, service. How he manages to do it all, and do it all WELL, from this tiny shop set against the little boutique shops and restaurants of downtown Vacaville, is beyond me. read more

I come into this place often to get oil for my bike......I like that its low key and never busy with a wait to pay(usually im in hurry)... They are friendly and have some cool retail items like gloves and boots and stuff like that....there mostly for dirtbikes and stuff of that nature..... However they dont really like to find parts unless they are for the kinda bikes they sale(which is standard really dont get me wrong) i just wish i could find a bike place that can get any bike parts not just only the kind of bikes they work on..... I would have givin 5 stars if it wasnt for that fact....but all in all ill keep coming back for the oil i like to support my local buisness... read more

Dan seems like a nice guy, so we were a bit shocked when we found out we'd been duped. He sold us a complete lemon, this scooter stopped running within a week and has been to the shop twice since we got it a month and a half ago - turns out this model is riddled with issues, in fact our local dealer in SF said he had hundreds on order that he had to cancel, and even did a buyback on the 5 scooters that he sold. Instead, Motoexotica happily sold us one without any warnings. I called and turns out they didnt do a mandatory recall as well and they handled it by screaming incoherently at us over the phone when presented with these facts. Even Genuine, the maker of the scooter said they weren't surprised since they've have trouble with this dealership. We've been waiting for the plates and title in the mail so we can sell it for a loss, called the DMV to inquire and turns out they didnt even send in the paperwork for a month and a half. Run, dont walk, away from this business. read more

This is an okay shop for purchasing scooters or other small bikes and accessories. I wouldn't recommend them for vintage scooter repairs and honestly they aren't too excited to take on repairs which turned out good for me. This is a mom and pop shop owned by a couple, Dan and Ann. As I said, they weren't extremely helpful when I went in twice to discuss some engine repairs for my 1979 Vespa Piaggio scooter. I don't even know where to start. Dan and Ann are the nicest, most considerate people I have ever met. I have -to date- bought 4 scooters here and every time they treat me like family, answer all my questions and definitely put up with my perfectionism. The quality of their merchandise is beyond perfect. Dan will not send something out the door until it has been looked over with a fine tooth comb. I also bring all my scooters back for service which is done impeccably and quickly. Also the cost of service is very very reasonable. In fact the last scooter I purchased about three weeks ago, Dan delivered to Sacramento with a smile. If you think by me asking questions about a product you are selling and you had to keep walking in the back to get answers from Dan or try to find the answers on the box as me being rude. Do not confuse your incompetence as me having an attitude. I dont care if the item cost $1, if you provide a service be competent at your job. If you thought I was rude, why didn't you ask me to leave????? You did not and we completed the transaction as intended. So shame on you for fabricating your story. Which I know your remarks to my post is just you trying to save face for the horrible customer service I have endured from your husband and now followed with your attacks on social media.
