When I arrived, the hour reading was higher than quoted, and the shop owner, Dan, refused to provide any written record of the service he claimed had been done. I asked politely several times and was dismissed with, "What do you need it for anyway?" It's disappointing to be told one thing over the phone and then treated like I'm asking too much for simply trying to verify the work. This wasn't just an inconvenience -- it speaks to trust and integrity, which are critical in used powersports sales. Dan might claim that it doesn't work that way but I've purchased dozens of new and used bikes over the years and any dealer that refuses to give a maintenance record on a bike they sold new and then supposedly did a full service on gets a 10/10 on my sketch meter and I walked away. That said, I ended up buying a brand new bike from my local dealer, who gave me a great deal -- no BS, no power trip.

Additionally, the gasoline tank overflow vent hose was not reconnected. Result was after refueling, the gasoline dripped all over the top of the hot engine. A serious safety concern. Careless and dangerous! I had to removed the tank to reattach the fuel vent line. Everyone has a bad day but they refused to own up to it and rework the items listed on the paid invoice. Disappointed that a highly regarded shop would treat a customer so poorly.

Also the said brake light switch was not working. It was, as I checked lights before I left $1492 for them to fix. It took them 8 days to do the work. When the guy that bought my bike showed up, he still waited 3 hours for them to finish. He was coming from 90 miles away. They didn't even take the motorcycle to test the brakes. The front brake was sticking and not working right on his way home. He could have been killed. Plus they tacked on a $1500 preparation fee to his bill. I am looking for another Harley. Not from Iron Steed Stealership.

Especially since every year new innovations are added to all vehicles including Harleys. Having read Rocky's website, although he does not claim that his Techs have CURRENT training, it is infered they do, which is dishonest, also the 30 years of providing service and support for riders, infers they have been in business for 30 years, which they have not, they have worked for a HD dealer, but their knowledge is out of date. Nonetheless, a friend suggested to look for a mobile motorcycle mechanic, and behold Yelp did its magic in putting me in touch with Kyle ( owner & mechanic). He came to my home, and did his thing Long story short...because I neglected the bike, it needed new parts etc. And additional trips to the house.
