We made it home and needless to say we doubt need an alternator at all just a new battery. So sad to see cause we used Chatty for years but I see that his values have went away for the dollar! It was a huge relief when they honored the warranty (11 months after the original service) for a complete A/C system replacement on my wife's car. There was no hassle or argument from them or even an attempt to accuse her of being negligent. They looked at the problem and then fixed it with no additional money out of our pocket. On one occasion the horn on the car went haywire and was randomly honking at other cars. (Just like in the Brian Reagan routine. Very embarrassing.) After checking it out, Hefner's removed the penny that our toddler had forced into the steering wheel, thereby fixing the problem. And they didn't even charge us a shop fee or anything. They take care of their customers.

With pull towing, it would not exceed 2 hours. However, they ultimately charged me double the agreed-upon price because their driver insisted on lifting, and they didn't inform me. They forced me to pay or threatened to drop the trailer off at the auction when they didn't follow the instructions.

He said I was the first person in 5 years that had asked for prices to be matched from another nearby mechanic shop. He even said that the prices that they quoted me, that I should go to the other shop instead, was a $60 difference by the way. Was also told by Ken that I wasn't a good customer because I had only done one oil service with them in a year and a half. Will never give Crawford's my business and they're just another auto shop that's dishonest and takes advantage of their customers. Hard to find integrity these days!!
