I've had a great experience here at this shop. The workers are friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to the products and services they provide. I've gotten two services from them. First time was to get the fork seals fixed off a used bike I purchased in April 2019 and a minor service done in summer of 2020. Can't say that they're a great or bad deal cause this is the only shop I've gone to, but they do their work well and I would recommend them to others if they don't have the know-how like me to service your bike. I brought my bike here to have a new ignition installed and electrical harness rewired (someone tried to steal my bike ) all that work was done perfectly no issue ! While the bike was in their possession I was informed by Ruben the shop owner that there was a recall on my bike ! He said the steering stem bearings were recalled so he had replaced them free of charge ! Well when I came to pick my bike up after the work was complete I tried to leave with my bike and immediately noticed as I drove away a very unusual swerve in the bikes handling it was swerving left and right without any input from me! I DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE BEFORE MY BIKE WAS LEFT WITH THEM !! I turned right around and brought the bike back to them to check it out I was repeatedly told that they checked every possible thing and could not figure out the issue ! After that I had no choice but to take it elsewhere for a second opinion Del amo Motorsports quickly diagnosed the problem as being the steering stem bearings out of torque specs and was causing excessive wear of them ! I was charged around 550 dollars to fix this issue that was caused by motorhelmets ! I later found out there are no outstanding recalls on my vin ! I have no idea where the owner Ruben got this idea from ! I googled my vin through Kawasaki.com and sure enough there ARE NO RECALLS ON MY VIN NUMBER ! I have no idea why Ruben would lie about this and make his mechanic do unnecessary work on my bike ! At the end of the story I feel like I got robbed by motorhelmets and was lied to ! I CAN NO LONGER BRING MY BIKE HERE WITH CONFIDENCE!!!!! Please look elsewhere I don't think you can trust the owner or his mechanics to do a competent or honest job on your vehicle ! read more

Unfortunately, it is a hit or miss depending who you deal with so it's not consistent. Usually I would come to Ruben and everyone knows Ruben. Unfortunately the manufacturer I had contacted for a group buy no longer does group buys so I was put in contact with Ruben. Initial pricing was more than fair. Ruben was quick to respond to my emails and was able to answer any questions I had. A better price had later come along through another vendor a friend recommended. The other vendor is located about an hour farther than Motorhelmets so naturally I emailed Ruben to see if he could price match. Without hesitation, price was matched. I had then began the collection process from all parties interested in participating in the group buy. Sure enough, people started dropping like flies. I kindly emailed Ruben to let him know the situation and told him that we would have to back out of the group buy. He understood, said thanks and moved on. About a week later, I managed to find the amount of people needed for our group buy and emailed Ruben again, asking if the price would still be honored and if the items were in stock. I ordered a sprockets kit for my bike and they call me 3 days later saying it's not available. They gave me a discount on the kit because of the confusion so in that aspect the customer service is ok for the most part but the service department is soooooooo slow. I was told an hour and half for a chain and sprockets replacement along with my rear tire. It's been 3 hours. They said, "Unfortunately I can't rush the mechanic." What type of answer is that to a customer? Why even give a time? This is truly unacceptable. I won't be coming back. The store manager comes out as I'm leaving to apologize in person and says to me there was a miscommunication on the service manager's part and the mechanic was pulled off my bike to work on some tires. I was told several times prior when I ordered the parts that it would be first come, first serve which was understandable so I came in right when the shop opened. I arrived at 10:05 and I pulled my bike in the back a few minutes after I arrived to get it started. I waited the whole time there waiting for my bike. I asked how much longer after the 2 hour mark hit, they told me a few more minutes. I left there at 1:30. I appreciate the apology in person but it doesn't change the fact that the manager saw me walking around the store and asking the other employee how much longer. Great customer service and straight forward quotes for service and parts. Got an out the door quote over the phone on tires and install and stopped into the shop on a Friday evening. There weren't any "surprise" additional costs or fees brought up. Out the door price was exactly what I was quoted. Kept hearing about this place from all the different Grom squads out there, So I happened to be in the area this week and since I live far from Fullerton I had to take advantage of the opportunity to scope out the shop. Two things you should know, they have a service department with a nicely furnished gear/merchandise shop connected to one another; and a very generous parking lot (so if you have a 1996 lifted bronco or a BMW M3 G80 DONT worry, you'll have ample space to park your baby). I have a list of things I've been needing from bike parts, to new summer riding gloves. They have everything and if something is not in stock they can always order it for you. Personally for me, I know what I want and am not willing to settle; so due to that and the mixture of quarantine having everyone out riding more (plus summer is basically here) they were low on the things I was looking for specially (like the color & my size). However! I was blessed to have walked away with a lovely AGV X3000 In my desired color and size, I apologize to the young gentleman that assisted me I forgot your name but he gave me a delicious discount that helped me seal the deal.
