Called Ben's wanting some work on my vintage motorcycle. He said the plane work keeps him so busy, he no longer has the time for motorcycles. Having said that, he did refer me to someone else. Very much appreciated and good talking to him. Glad I reached out, nice guy. read more

Ben and his staff took great care of us in the maintenance, preparation, and eventual selling of our plane. As a broker start to finish, he provided excellent communication and guidance in getting the plane ready for market and throughout the inquiries, prebuys, and eventual sale. Would highly recommend, you wont be disappointed! read more

I'm a little late in writing this review but I took my vintage 1961 Honda 50 to Ben to have some work done on it after it had been in storage for the past couple of years and couldn't have been happier with the work Ben did! Ben got the bike running great, got it done fast and was accurate with his estimate! I'll be using him again the next time this one or one of my other bikes needs some attention!! read more

Highly recommend! Finding a honest, quality mechanic isn't easy and I'm glad I found Ben and his shop. After looking at his stellar reviews, I wanted Ben to take a look at my 87 Honda cafe racer for a radiator issue. Unfortunately, he said he didn't have time to help since he was busy with other projects and was 3-4 weeks out. Total bummer but I took that as a sign he does great work if that many people trust him with their bikes. I told Ben I came to his shop after reading the reviews about his honest, high quality work where he would take care of his clients and do work the right way. He proceeded to take time out his busy day to not only assess the situation of my bike, but topped off my radiator to hold me over - all at no charge. I found my mechanic and will continue to have Ben work on my bikes. If you're looking for a high quality, honest mechanic that takes care of his customer, you should come here first. read more

Ben is a solid Mechinic, worked on my Yamaha Grizzly with an a electrical issue. Dealers wanted thousands to guess what was wrong with it by throwing parts at the problem. Ben figured it out quickly and got the ECU replaced and even delivered my bike to my work place. Thanks again! read more

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up an '84 Honda Nighthawk CB700S. The fuel tank was disgusting. I contacted Ben about getting the fuel tank cleaned/lined and getting the carbs cleaned/rebuilt. He responded very quickly and dropped off the bike next day. After the tank was done, he said that I didn't need the carbs cleaned and that the bike ran flawlessly. Other shops I've been to over the years would've tried to sell additional service. An example would be when I lived in Sacramento. I went to get tires put on and they said I needed an oil change. Unknown to them, I changed the oil the day before... I didn't feel overwhelmed with unneeded services. I am definitely going back here when I need more work done on my bike. Thanks Ben! Last note: I spoke with two other guys (Cannot remember their names) that worked there and they were extremely friendly. read more

Awesome service here. Ben was very friendly, easy to find, and gave me upfront pricing and expedited service. Got my Can-Am 650baja from storage-slumping back to running for under 400 bucks. Also stored my ramps and everything for me so I didn't have to tote them around. 5 of 5, I will be recommending him to my friends. read more

If you're starting to get into the cafe racer scene, Ben is the guy to go to. Not a alot of mechanic shops service old bikes here in orange county but Ben. They have a methodical way of doing things and they do it right at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend! read more

Okay so where do I start? In March of 2017 I acquired a 1975 Yamaha RD350. I bought the bike in RUNNING CONDITION and it just needed some routine maintenance, like carbs cleaned, and tuned. Bike also needed new tires, breaks adjusted etc. I went to Ben's trusting the numerous great reviews and when I got there saw some antique bikes sitting in his hangar that made me a little less nervous. After about two weeks in his shop I picked up the bike, mind you his labor rate is $90 so it wasn't cheap. Rode the bike home, then rode it to my cousins later that day. I never made it home that night. Bike left me stranded on the side of the road. I called up Ben and he told me to bring it in again. I brought it in told him the motor was being flooded. He said it just needed to be tuned and leaned out I said okay do it. A day later I get a call saying they did everything and it's still not fixed and that my bike needs the top end rebuilt. I went down there to pick up the bike and paid another expensive and picked up a NON running bike that I originally dropped off in RUNNING condition. I was depressed after hearing about the top end and decided to park the bike. I had no reason to distrust Ben and his mechanics. Fast forward to present day, I saved up some money and wanted to get the bike up and running again. Instead of taking it to Ben I took it to Mach 1 in Newport Beach CA. After pulling up and speaking with Long I knew I was in the right place. Turns out the goofs at Ben's Motorworks were cutting of the 2 stoke oil instead of the gasoline causing the lubrications in the top end to be non existent. And the motor being flooded wa needing a new top end ?? It was just the fuel petcock. So now I have a running bike and it COST ME LESS THAN WHAT I SPENT AT BEN's, and got my work done by someone WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Moral of the story don't bring your vintage bike or any bike for that matter here. Go to someone who knows what they are doing and save yourself the headache and $$$. read more

Bens motorworks has come to the rescue for my sons quad! It had been crashed pretty bad over 3 years ago and Ben got it running, safe and reliable for my kids to ride again! Ben not only came & picked up the quad but he delivered it back to us in time for a trip to the desert! Ben was in constant communication with me & his pricing was very affordable! read more

Ben is the man. The most reasonable, honest, and stand-up mechanic I've come across. Always super responsive, will come and pick up your bike if it isn't running, and turn-around time is always very quick. I had a very weird petcock/fuel injection issue with my '92 Honda CB 750 Nighthawk and Ben didn't rest until he pinpointed the problem and fixed it. His pricing is better than anywhere else around here and the level of dedication and service you will receive is unparalleled. He really cares about you and your bike. Don't bother going anywhere else. Make Ben your mechanic. read more

Its so rare to find a mechanic that you can really trust. Ben is very honest and he will not treat you unfairly or take advantage like so many A & P's do especially when your plane is in for an annual. I had a low voltage light issue that was fairly complicated to fix. Because the issue was new to him he did not bill me for all the time he put into to figuring out the problem. His rates are reasonable and he and his staff are is very skilled, knowledgeable, amiable and professional. I will never take my Cirrus SR22 anywhere else unless he very honestly suggest that another service provider is a better fit for the issue I'm having. read more

I was looking for good motorcycle shop and have found it. Although Ben was swamped with work, he was able to fit me in promptly. Dropping off my 02 Vulcan 500 for a tune up, he quoted me a price and time frame. Not only was he able to deliver the bike earlier than expected, he also came in under the quoted price saving me some $$. Great shop that cares about it's customers. read more

I brought my son's 2004 CRF 250R to Ben because it wouldn't start. I had the valves adjusted once prior, and the previous mechanic I had gone to told me it would probably need a new top end next time. Ben still checked everything like the carburetor, spark plug, compressions etc. in order make sure it really needed a top end. This showed me he is not out to gouge anyone and truly wants to make his cutomers happy. Unfortunately the bike did need a new top end, but Ben completed the work on time and for a very affordable and fair price. I am extremely impressed with the service and professionalism I experienced from Ben's shop. It's great to have a mechanic that you know you can trust. will definitely be back next time I need any work done on my son's bike. read more

I had waited a while to do this review because I wanted to get a few rides in on my freshly services bike. First off price: I got my valves adjusted, 4 spark plugs, a new clutch, rear tire installed, throttle and clutch adjusted and fluids changed for only $825 incredible price! Everyone I tell can't believe that's what I payed. The customer service and far and beyond any and everything I could have imagined. Always very prompt to answer my calls and any questions that I had. The bike rides like the day I first bought it! I couldn't be happier! I found the shop I'll be returning to as long as they're in business and as long as I own motorcycles. Thank you Ben for your incredible experience! You have all of my and my buddies future business. read more

Ben and Andrews work is top notch. some of the nicest guys ive ever met . i stayed in contact with Ben throughout the whole time every questiin i had for him he answered very respectful. They have the lowest prices . They charge have the price of everyone else and there work is legit. they did more than i couldve asked for ,went out of there way to fix things i was even asking them to do charged me 75 and everyone else was asking 145. I also told Ben i was looking to buy another Motorcycle and he offered to inspect it before i buy it !!..its these little things that make them #1 in my book. Not to mention they fixed my tire , cleaned my spark plugs and gas tank in less than an hour. Than dropped off my cycle for free at my house since it was on there way to another spot. when he couldve easily just charged me anyways. If you look up the area it is a house but they work in the back very clean and professional . gave me a reciept and guarantee . thanks again guys !! . read more

Update to my last review. Ben still does a great job with my bike. Very reliable and very fair with pricing. Its good to know that he's always got my back when it comes to my bikes maintenance no matter what the problem is. Even though my bikes older, he doesn't turn me away and tell me to go elsewhere like some of these other guys do. Thanks for all the great service again bro! read more

Before contacting Ben, I contacted two other places who also fix motorcycles. Both places suggested me not to fix it. I had my '96 Suzuki sitting in the garage with oil and gas for the last decade. And they told me, it will never be the same and it wasn't worth fixing it. Then, I call Ben. I explained the situation and told me he would help me fix it. He was very informative over the phone and explained the things that would need some work and cleaning. He deals with bikes like mine often, and told me he really enjoys doing this type of work. He sent me an initial estimate via email. I accepted and later he came to pick up my bike from my garage. He started working on it right away. He sent me an update via email and explained what other things needed to have replaced and order. To make a long story short, he delivered my bike back to me running like new and he even clean it and made it look nicer! I was so impressed and pleased with his work, the service and time it took. And I felt his cost was very fair. After delivery, he answered all my questions and made suggestions to me. I couldn't be any happier doing business with Bens Motorworks. read more

I haven't even received my bike back yet, but I already know it will exceed my expectations in every aspect. I have an old honda cb125 that I purchased from a guy who severely neglected it. It needed serious work and I didn't know where to start. I found Ben's repair business by way of yelp and trusted the five star reviews, subsequently putting my bike in his hands. He's very kind, very thorough, and he makes sure that both the eventual ending price and work being done are constantly updated with you to ensure you're up to par and okay with everything that is taking place. I am actually surprised my indecisiveness and constant questions didn't drive him nuts. He's extremely honest, patient, and very punctual. He sent me pictures of different options I could choose from regarding tires, and gave me detailed explanations of everything. Got my bike working again in only two days from what my husband told me. He is the person to go to for anything related to motors. read more

I'm new to Dirt biking and Motorcycles so I was a little hesitant to talk to anybody about why I couldn't kickstart my dirt bike. I swallowed my pride and contacted Ben and I'm glad I did. Ben and his crew were extremely nice and considerate, offered a couple pointers, and sent me on my way FREE of charge. I'm sure there are many quality motorcycle mechanics in Orange County but I will only take my bikes to Ben and his shop. Everybody should at the very least consult with him first. Once again I will never take my bikes anywhere else. Thank you guys. read more

Ben and his crew are awesome! I made an appointment yesterday to have him replace the brake pads on my bike. This place was amazing. My scooter overheated, and even though they didn't have time to work on it, they offered to top off my coolant and quickly check it out. They could have turned me away but they helped me out when I needed it. Andrew and Ben rock! read more

Had a large 12 hp concrete cutter that hadn't run in a few years. Had no idea what might be wrong with it. Ben and his team completely overhauled it, cleaned it, replaced gaskets, filters, pumps and bushings. Pickup and delivery of the cutter made it that much easier on me (and all that work didn't leave me broke!). I strongly recommend these guys for simple to complicated motor/equipment repair. read more

Ben is an honest guy who will fix your problems at a very good price, and -quick-! He's super personable and kept me updated the entire way through his job by texting or calling me about my bike. Ben's shop is also actually on the airport in a hangar which is a pretty cool little security bonus since you can't get onto the tarmac without calling him to open the gate. This shops' professionalism has earned a lifelong customer and I would recommend it to anybody needing work done. read more

Today was my third visit to Bens Motorworks and each time, Ben and the crew got started on my bike as soon as I dropped it off and the work was completed in two hours or less. Today's job was replacing the oil pan on my FZ-07. I dropped the bike off at 7:00 and it was ready at 9:00!! I didn't even leave the airport, just strolled down to the Wings Cafe and had a great breakfast. Ben's an honest guy with a top notch crew. I highly recommend Bens Motorworks! read more

Awesome morning. Needed to get the oil changed in my M109R. Looked around a bit and found Ben to be close by. What a great find. Ben and his guys are awesome. When I met them it was like I had known them for years. He is straight forward and up front with everything. I also love planes and his shop being at the airport was a bonus. Went and had some breakfast at the airport cafe and by the time I was done with breakfast my bike was finished. I will definately be going back and I suggest you give him a try for all your engine needs. Thanks again Ben read more

Ben is awesome! My Yamaha Grizzly had been sitting in the garage for three years. Ben came to my home to pick up the unit and returned it cleaned and in perfect working order not 24 hours later. His price was more than reasonable. I am so grateful to have found a trustworthy mechanic. I highly recommend him! read more

Wanted to surprise my fiancée with a motorcycle ride on her dads bike on his birthday. Her dad passed away 3 years prior so it was special. Andrew came out the same day & got the bike fixed up for the ride. It was last minute but it all came together. Andrew was delicate with the bike.
