Very slow to work on your bike. Dropped off my bike for a simple oil leak, I even pointed out what was leaking and what needed to be replaced. Was dropped off on 2/17, was told would possibly be ready by 2/21-2/22. Since I had not received a phone call, I called on 2/22, was told the mechanic was finishing a bike and would look at mine at the very end of the day. I waited patiently, 1 week later on 3/2, I called again, asking about my bike, was told, "we just found out it needs 2 gaskets, will be $180", Was told it would take 1 week for the parts to arrive, if it was approved. At this point, I let them know I would pick up my bike. Upon arriving at the store, was then told I would need to pay a diagnostic fee, when I refused was told I could not pick up my bike until the following day, when I spoke to the service manager, who at this point, 2 weeks in, had yet to call me. I then spoke to a lady that was working in the back office, explained the situation, she then released my bike to me. I am not normally a complainer, but all that was needed to take care of me, would have been a "phone call". If I did not call, I would not have received an update. My bike was at this shop from 2/17 until 3/2, with no work done at all, and not 1 phone call made to me during this time. ****Update on 3/3....So I decided to change my rating from 1 star to 3. This morning, first thing, I received a call from Ruben (General Manager) of Motorhelmets. I spoke to him briefly, addressed my concerns and why I was unhappy. Although I had already made arrangements to repair my bike at a different shop, he let me know he would take care of me on the next repair or purchase from them. He did not want to lose me as a customer. He did not make excuses, but simply apologized for the delay and let me know they would make up for it. As I have been in Customer Service for many years, I know that customer service is always key in any business. Simply calling, acknowledging the problem and promising to do better makes the customer feel better. Hopefully my bike needs no other work, but, if I do need a repair, I'll give them another shot, they have been good to me in the past so a small hiccup can be overlooked. read more

Ordered a used shoei rf1200. Said it was like new, display, and I think it said no box. I expected it to be something I'd end up returning, but it looks and smells brand new and came with the box and all the stuff a new helmet would. Showed up on time too. Maybe it's new? Service guy are OK because it the closest shop to my house I bring them my rims to change the tires. Have tried to have them sell me the tires but they refuse to price match. MOTORHELMETS DOES NOT EVER PRICE MATCH! I asked if they price match Amazon for my wife's bike. They said NO. I found a local dealer that sold a tire cheaper and bought it there but their service department was back up and could not get it for several days so I took it to MotorHelmets were they installed it but never called me to let me know was ready the next day I called and they had it ready. 4 months later I asked them if they price match a Metzeller Z6 from BikeBandit and they said no. I ordered it and had it in my doorstep 2 days later (at a saving of $80 including shipping). Again they MotorHelmet installed it for me, but again they never call to say it was ready, I went there to check and fortunately they had it done. Today (about 8 months later from the last time) I asked them again if they price match a tire they were selling for $144 to a local shop that sells it for $77 they said "go get it there".. Wow! No counter offer, no questions the name of the shop, NOTHING! Just, bye! I would give them 1 star but so far the service shop has done OK work. I have to make sure that I do not leave anything extra on the tire or the parts won't come back but other than that the service shop is OK. The store is actually nice to browse but they are expensive and like I said before they NEVER EVER price match. I wish it was legal to record phone conversations as I am confident that the phone conversations I have will prove my point that they do not even try to price match. read more

Horrible horrible customer Service I will never go here again came in bought 2 jackets and a helmet and a lowering link with my brother in law spent over $1000 and these guys refused to give me the 25% off on 2 self tinting visors and on top of that didn't know there prices went through three people all telling me different prices...also they said there was no manager there to speak too...this is just unacceptable and I will never refer anybody here or shop here again. read more

I came in just to check the place out. I'd heard a lot of bad stuff on OCMoto about this joint, but it all seems to be smack talk. The people working here were helpful, friendly (sadly this is becoming really hard to find in retail!) and knowledgable. I just wanted to browse, but ended up picking uip a new helmet for the track that fits like a glove. Their selection is better than the majority of their competitors, especially as far as helmets go. They even cut me a deal on the helmet! I would definitely return to buy more gear. Their prices and selection are very good. read more

Why bother! Prices are higher than online. 30 minutes in the store and not one of the many employees even looked my way. When I asked an employee if they had the helmet I was interested in purchasing available in another color, I received a very smug "I don't know" as she walked away. Experience/Environment/Service - 2 We were greeted kindly at the door, but that was the only interaction we had the whole time we were there. I was confronted by a large amount of product, but the longer I was there, the more I realized how hap-hazard it was all laid out. They tried to split everything up by vendor, but would then put racing suits in one area, gloves in another... so when I was looking for women-specific gear, it was a bit of a struggle to find it; especially since there wasn't very much. For being a shop called motor helmets, there wasn't really anyone there to help us with them. I was really interested in buying a helmet, but everyone was too busy chatting away to notice. I even took a step stool out and took a few helmets off the top shelf on the wall myself... tried to find the prices, sizes (since they seem to just leave all the stock out on the floor), and didn't happen to find the price or size for the helmet I was interested in. I can only guess they won't help unless you ask so you don't feel too conscious trying on all the different helmets. Price - 3 Nothing special. If there were any deals, they weren't that big of a discount. Location - 3 We were able to find it since there were a few ad flags waving and the overhang we noticed from the images on here. There are tents up for shaded parking if you ride your bike there, and a good amount of parking spots for everyone else. read more

Prices are cheep online. This is my local store and they always match the prices for me instore. I know its iffy for them but it shows good customer relations. If you go in they are able to make deals on higher priced items. I was in the market for a Hayden Arai corsair and they gave me a super price. I had to use the funds on somehting else but if i didnt, SHIT. Wouldve copped. I always get little nic nac stuff and oil from here. brought my bike in for repairs.terrible, terrible time. their sales counter might be full of ok dudes or whatever, but their repair department is garbage. had to 1. replace fuel pump 2. re-route/replace throttle cables 3. replace flat tire 4. do an oil change 5. replace ballast on headlight and these guy have been taking over a month to do it. absolutely no contact from these guys. they never pick up the phone either. i literally have to go by physically and see if my bike is ready. absolutely terrible. still isn't ready yet. sick of waiting or these guys. oh yea. and these guys don't price match down to other places. don't come here. go somewhere else. read more

The lead in to why I purchased at Motorhelmets I have been searching for a deal on a helmet and a jacket. Found one online from Leatherup.com they showed one in stock and i ordered it and verified that there were no more available after my online order. They claimed to ship by same day if ordered before noon and not charge your card until it ships. First they held the order the next morning because i used a different address ok no problem ship it to billing address. second they said it shipped and charged my card no tracking for three days then sent me an email that it was not in stock so they really did not ship it and they charged my card. I called to get a refund and they offered me no alternatives like a different color or model for a similar price. Now have to wait 3-5 days for refund of course when i paid them it was instant , hmmm why is that!?? now 5 days later no refund had to call to initiate again all they could say was sorry still no offer of anything. so I looked at couple of other online options a couple stood out positively but the stock said "Available" not "In Stock" which is kind of a red flag plus one deep discounter had horrible reviews and the owner always followed up with a reply blaming the customer! Another red flag. Now the Motorhelmets experience: I am in sales and retail brick and mortar is different than online sales On my route for picking up products for my business I stopped in at Motorhelmets which i had stumbled on online but it did not jump out like all the others and a local chain of shops that seems to only carry their own brand anymore mostly. I was politely greeted when I walked through the door by a young lady and i proceeded to browse a packed retail area and try on some helmets because honestly I was going to order online based on pricing i saw but wanted to get an accurate sizing I also saw a jacket on a clearance rack but the pricing did not seem correct and some guy that worked there said they were priced correctly but never looked at it, why I don't know and never offered any other assistance. I looked around a bit more not ever being approached except a "hi how are you" I'm good thanks" ?? which i've noticed is a complaint, better to ask a few times if help is needed and try to determine customers intent most likely they have been shopping online these days no need to beat around the bush so ask them straight up "if we have what your looking for at the right price would you like to make a purchase today or soon?" you'll be amazed at the response you may get and the sales you can make by overcoming online return hassles and sizing problems associated with them and it might be worth paying a little extra extra plus the tax. I got home and was scouring the internet and did not wish to repeat an online purchase that happened above tying up more of my funds and time! I noticed that on Motorhelmets website mid page they had a $ stating "lowest price guaranteed" click for details to my surprise i could enter the info url on what i was looking for and submit it for approval before I purchase WoW I don't have to purchase first then fight to get a refund or then prove as to why someone else is selling it cheaper is a real deal...NO I didn't i entered the info and within 20 minutes i was emailed by Tammy with a response that stated "I do have this helmet instock and can most definitely do it for that price" Now i'm impressed regardless of showroom help. I went in that same night and the guy that helped me (Mitch) did not know of Tammy in the order fullfillment center but I showed him the email and we got the helmet and a box it was a floor model but that was fine for the savings i received I then showed him the jacket I had seen the day before and he looked it up and gave me the correct price well close anyway I won't squabble over 6 bucks lol. So what turned out to be a losing sale turned into a nearly $400 dollar sale and will definitely continue to buy from them. Internally they need to work on some things as they are losing sales online and in the store. But I'm happy with my purchase and kept it local and yes paid taxes to help governments bloated pension plans and their wasteful spending Thanks Tammy & Mitch read more

As I drove up they had about 10 motorcycles in the parking lot. That was the first sign of a place that gives good deals. Usually when I go with my Husband to other shops they are ghost towns. When I walked in the door I was shocked at the amount of Gear they actually have. I was expecting a smaller shop. Usually big shops like this don't give deals on anything. I got a great deal on an Icon Helmet and Jacket. Not only did they give me a great deal but they were very insightful with helping me find the proper fit for both the helmet and jacket.
