After you upload all the extra documentation to verify your address, it takes you to their shopping cart. But rather than just paying for the upgrade service, you pay to "fund" a personal MVD account first, then their supposed to use those funds to pay for the upgrade. However, anything with DL's is different. If something goes wrong with renew/replace/upgrade process (denial or timeout, etc.) you cannot use reuse those funds and must "fund" the account again with another $25 and then request a refund, which you also cannot do for at least 7 days. Absolutely absurd! Its a simple shopping cart - dont make it so complex! The CIO/CTO for AZMVD should be dismissed for incompetence.

There were about 6 people in front of me and everyone got called to the desk very quickly. If I ever need any service done that requires MVD assistance, this will be the location I'll be going to! No more stressing about long lines and rude employees. Also, if anyone didn't know, you can transfer your plate from one vehicle to another for a small fee, if you want to keep your plate- AND you can get reimbursed for your tabs if they still have time left on them until they expire. I,e; my tabs didn't expire until October 2026 and I had to register a new vehicle, so I got $33 back to put towards my new registration!
