Super great customer service, love old motels remodeled. Loved they served See See coffee also. Easily walkable to a lot of places. I would definitely stay here again, there is noise from the road but not something they can control just bring ear plugs if your noise sensitive, I am but did fine without. This is the second time I've stayed here. And my friends as well. We come each year for the Real West Gravel bike race. The location is absolutely ideal and walkable to all the local hangs, food, and even the packet-pickup for our bike event. What continues to impress me is the staff. In 2024 and now 2025, the staff are the best part of this place. I'll be back for sure and will tell my friends about it every time we come for bike events! read more

recently stayed at the motolodge. few of my favorite things 1. the shampoo ,conditioner,body wash was big bottles enough to go around im used to staying at hotels with those tiny bottles that aren't enough. excellent job moto lodge the room was simple but modern and clean. i would stay here again staff is friendly. kudos to the maids for an excellent clean arrival. read more

I've never been charged a fee for changing my card for incidentals, but Motolodge did that. $1.00 fee for running my card for incidentals. It's November but is it too much to ask for a year round hot tub and sauna? Both were inoperable when we visited, as was the pool. The bed was not that comfortable. Towels weren't changed nor was the bed made daily. Shower controls were backward than usual like the plumber didn't hook it up correctly. The TV didn't have cable, but instead asks you to login with Google or the various apps which I will never do because I don't want to forget to logout. On the bright side, coffee in the lobby was great except no fresh cream. This place is all about the bottom line. I can't say I want to stay here ever again. read more

DISAPPOINTING Rooms were cleaner than expected from exterior view. What appeared to be hookers and homeless meandering around the streets in front of the motel, making walking the 2-3 blocks to city center sketchy. They only make up guest rooms if you are staying 3 nights or more. Over priced for such simple accommodations (we were not there during any special events). Lots of boarded up buildings downtown, giving the whole area a creepy feel. Too bad, Pendleton used to be a routine stop for us going back and forth to the coast. read more

We rode our Harley's to Pendleton specifically to experience the underground tour and Check out some of the history of the area... it was a hot trip from central Washington, but we love an adventure. Imagine our dismay... This motel looked great on their website. Remodeled rooms, pool, hot tub, sauna, dog/bike wash were some of the ammentities as well and 2 blocks walking distance to downtown Pendleton. Rooms were comfy, nice and clean and the walk to downtown east peasy. However the pool was absolutely disgusting!!! It looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in months, the hot tub didn't even have water in it and the bike/dog wash...no hose or water hook up. The BIG deal was that the ice machine was broken as well. The staff had no idea about the pool or how to clean it up and really didn't seem to care, and one would have expected the ice machine to be working in the middle of summer. If all your looking for is a place to sleep with nearby restaurants this is just ok! Otherwise they are other options I'm sure with better amenities and staff that care. read more

Writing this as I stay here. Yes, the bed is comfy, the room is clean, and thank god there's Chromecast cause there's not much going on in Pendleton. But if you're excited about the amenities this motel boasts, think again or confirm that there are any before your stay. Today the pool is empty, the hot tub is empty, there's no ice and the woman at the desk wasn't concerned. It's definitely a quick flip of an old motel and probably the most updated stay in Pendleton, but that's not saying much. I honestly couldn't find another place I'd stay here. read more

We stayed at the Motolodge for one night when we were in town for Wheatstock and it was fabulous. The Motolodge is a refurbished, retro-vibe motel -- a fast-growing trend when done right. I can't remember the last time I stayed at a "motel," but this is different. The feeling is very communal with the same privacy and safety anyone would want. The room was spacious, updated, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I also LOVED the shampoo/conditioner/lotion that was provided. We didn't have time to use the pool or sauna, but it looked like a lot of fun. A couple of additional stand out things were the location (just a block off the downtown main street and very close to all of the shops, restaurants, bars, etc.), the cold welcome drinks offered upon check-in (beer, wine, seltzer, etc.), the excellent small-batch craft coffee available in the morning (See See Motor Coffee Co. in Portland...how very on brand), and most of all, the sweetest front desk associate. I didn't catch his name (longer dark hair, East Coast accent) but he was incredibly professional, charming, and very lovely the couple of encounters we had with him. He felt genuinely interested in our experience and really made us feel welcome. Hang on to this guy, Motolodge! The Motolodge is doing it right -- affordable accommodations, a sense of community, and a really cool and comfortable place to call home when you're away from home. We would definitely stay here again when we're back in Pendleton. read more

I say this and listen! it may not look like an HI Express, Hilton, or anything names. the exterior style is dated, but once you enter the lobby or your room. you willl be satisfied. place had been updated recently, AC will freeze your privates off, staff is awesome, bucket of beer is a great option. pool, hot tub, and sauna are nicely done. on note, the pool cleaning robot needs a tune up, there is a bit of dirt near the steps of the pool. Great spot, clean rooms, quality products provided at a reasonable price point. My only gripe is that the morning staff didnt know how to brew the coffee, which is unfortunate because it looks like they are partnering with a local coffee roaster. Went downstairs to get coffee in the morning and I thought I had mixed up the coffee for tea at the little coffee corner. It tasted extremely weak and it was obvious that not enough grounds had been used. I asked the desk attendant if what i was drinking was coffee. She said she had just brewed a new batch, which was also extremely weak. If they can fix their coffee problem this place would be a perfect 10/10! read more

The rooms were clean but nearly all of the facilities were in disrepair. The pool was so dirty we didn't use it, even though it was mid summer heat. I wanted to love this spot. I always try to support local businesses and avoid hotel chains. I come to Pendleton for work on a regular basis. So, when my usual Air BnB wasn't available I thought I'd check out Motolodge. I've driven by it before and I thought they did a good job with bringing the glory of the motor lodge back. A swing and a miss! First, the good- the rooms are very clean, the decor is cute, the bed is comfy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in walking distance to my favorite Pendleton restaurant and pub, Great Pacific, to whom I pledge my undying, unwavering love. The not-so-good- making a reservation was laborious. I called and it took more than 20 rings for someone to pick up. They then put me on an immediate hold, then another hold to get the manager. The second hold was so long I had to call back. When I arrived to check in the lobby door was locked. A friendly woman came with if a few minutes and explained she had to lock the doors due to a belligerent customer. This did not make me feel safe as a single lady traveling alone. The mini fridge seems to have some kind of loud, melodic hum, like machinery working overtime. It's annoying but eventually became white noise. The hotel was not full and yet they grouped all the occupants into one cluster, so I had to hear my neighbors at different parts of the evening. Why not spread us out for more privacy? Last, and probably the most disappointing, the amenities advertised weren't operational. The pool was in the process of being filled and was very dirty. The hot tub had no water in it and was also dirty. The sauna was not working and contained a single pair of dirty socks. See photos. Overall- there is so much potential here! The bed size was not honored. The front desk was not staffed. The hot tub and sauna were not available though we specifically asked if the use of these amenities would be possible during our stay. I was overcharged two separate times on my credit card. There is no in room coffee available - the coffee in the lobby was cold - that was the final straw leading to this review. We have stayed at this property twice before and were satisfied for the price of the stay - this time the property gets zero stars. What a disappointment. read more

Good things: -location -staff is very friendly -love the style and decor -parking was very convenient Cons: -no place to plug anything in. Had to unplug the fridge and the microwave to plug in the desk lamp which wasn't actually functional upon arrival because it was just sitting unplugged on the table -no where to charge our phones, iPads and watches. Charging pads don't work for everyone and don't work for watches and iPads. Need powerstrips or usb ports near nightstands. -not nearly enough counter space. Need an additional console table under TV. For two travelers need more space to put things, especially cause there is zero counter space in bathroom -need more hooks -main light in bathroom did not work -shower is super small which is not that big of deal but the shower head sprays the wall and cannot be adjusted down. Not a great shower experience -need extra towels because when you use the sink the floor gets soaked but nothing extra in room to dry up the water mess -hot tub not functional and ice machine broken-- for us those two things alone were a big huge negative. The sauna is cute but definitely not a replacement for the hot tub experience that I was counting on after our long drive -hotel is cute and clean, no doubt, but room is not really very functional --lacking many basics. Function is more important to me than novelty. read more

Special thanks you to Brandi and everyone at Moto lodge. We were forced off the road due to bad weather and ice, and in a town that seemingly didn't have very many good options for hotels or motels we found Moto lodge, which was essentially a great savior for us as a family. They took us to the local Walmart in order to get the snow chains we needed for our car to continue our journey. The next day they went as far as without asking remove the snow around our car so my kids could get everything packed up without stepping in deep snow. The rooms were clean and very affordable and we were very pleased that we were able to find this when we were challenged in our trip from Portland back to our home state of Idaho. if you like almost paying to stay at the Red Lion prices just to end up at the bates motel stay here the pool is disgusting ie. water is green and barely high enough to keep the pump running for some reason. the hot tub was broken down and full of garbage. the sauna broken. the couch pictured is only in the down stairs rooms. there is a microwave that you can ask for at the front desk then lug all the way back to your room. no coffee makers in the rooms as they have "coffee and tea service" in the morning like that's supposed to be some grand thing. basically spend the extra 20-50 buck to stay anywhere else. you wont be sorry that way. read more
