We decided to try something different and immerse ourselves in the downtown Pendelton area for the evening and we sure are glad we did. Jack was very warm and welcoming, just what we needed after a long boring drive. The house was beautiful, our room quite lovely ( I was bummed we couldn't use the private balcony at this time, but the reason is very admirable--baby birds have been born there and they don't want to scare away the momma bird). Jack recommended the Flying X Speakeasy down the road, which ironically we had already planned to go to. I'm impressed with how the downtown Pendelton business owners build each other up and speak so highly of each other. Everyone we talked to knew Jack and spoke highly of him, just as Jack spoke highly of them. Breakfast was delightful with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and avocado toast, served with great conversation. It was hard to leave after such a great experience here. Thank you, Jack!

Two of the places I called never returned my request for a quote, one place only had time to book us at 9 pm on a Wednesday for one hour, and one place was much smaller than the Grange for about twice the price. The Grange met all of our requirements for our event. Tara was amazing to work with: super helpful, answered all questions quickly and professionally and made the planning for our event as stress-free as possible. I would definitely book with Tara and the Grange again if I was ever in need of a large space for an event.

The hosts Rob and John were extremely helpful and so accommodating. Rob offers many great ideas for setting up props, including beautiful chandeliers and wine barrels in an outside pavilion! We were lucky enough to be able to utilize the new solid structure, which brings so much shade and cooling for the guests. Plenty of room for family, food, dancing and excellent photo opportunities. Our family was very grateful to have such accommodating hosts in such a beautiful, romantic setting. Their prices are the best around, and easy on the budget as opposed to other venues. I gave five stars because that's the highest rating I could give, but they deserve much more! Feels like we made new friends! There was hair on the tub as well as a plastic wrapper which meant the room had not been cleaned. One of the pillowcases smelled of cologne. My party abandoned the bed with smelly pillow, due to it not being clean. In the morning, they went to get coffee and there was none. They went to the front desk to complain about the room and the coffee. The staff openly admitted the owner would not allow them to purchase coffee. My party asked for a refund for the stay. The staff didn't want to give a refund because "They had been giving too many refunds." the staff openly complained about the Management. They finally gave a refund and my party left with a zero balance. As they were leaving the room, there was a group of cleaning staff waiting to get into the room. Within a hour, the hotel recharged my credit card. When I called I was told that the cleaning staff had gone into the room and found that it was clean and my party was lying about the hair and plastic wrapper. What they didn't know was that pictures were taken by my wife, so I had proof. They sent me the pictures they took after my wife left the room and sure enough, the tub was cleaned by them, then they took photos. To resolve this, the hotel promised that I would be compensated with points equal to the nights stay. I asked several times for the name of the manager who authorized the points. It has been six months since the stay and the hotel has ghosted me. I held off writing the review to see if they would have any integrity. They have none. This hotel does not rise to the quality of a motel six. I use Hilton for a specific reason and this makes me wonder of the Hilton brand is going downhill. It's unfortunate that Hilton has no way to file a complaint. They just tell you to talk to the manager of the property. Yeah, really effective when you can't even find out who that is. Once again, PLEASE do not stay here if you value the Hilton brand.
