I've been commuting on my bike for a couple of months & just been layering up (pretty cold at 6am on the highway for an hour). Been looking online for protective boots & pants, but so much is in EU sizes & mixed reviews (size up/down, etc), so I didn'tknow where to start, plus if I try it all on, no return process needed. While in Dallas today I stopped in. I browsed solo for a few minutes & a GREAT lady approached me asking if I needed help. Told her what I was looking for. She gave recommendations (popular sellers, styles for upcoming TX heat, etc) & helped me find a close size to get me started trying on. I had to find a short size (since I'm short, so less options for me), but they fit GREAT. Since my boots happened to be on sale, I splurged for some gloves too since one's I purchased online weren't a great fit. (pros of shopping in store). I did not get her name, but she was a nice slightly elderly lady (no disrespect just older than me). If she helps all customers like this, you will definitely be glad you stopped in. Just before signing the papers for my first motorcycle, I headed over to MotoLiberty. A guy named Nathan, who has since gone on to open a MotoLiberty shop in San Antonio, spent over an hour guiding me through available options, including items I could spend less on. I might be cheap, but I didn't have time to go online and hope whatever I ordered would fit correctly. It was a great experience and I spent $600+ in one go. More recently, I wanted a full leather suit and that demands a good fit. MotoLiberty had a huge variety of suits, so I got to try on a bunch. Audrey, the store owner, helped me narrow down the options over the course of at least five visits. The last time was the day of their Easter Party, where I got an extra discount on top of an already low price. Sure, I ended up spending more than I planned, but I got a top-quality suit that would've run me $400 more ordering online and a guarantee on fit. Talk about a happy customer. I brought a friend in who needed some boots for an upcoming trip. He found a style he liked but not the right size. They offered to order his size at no-commitment to him. Yes, he did end up buying them. MotoLiberty has a few "customer appreciation" events throughout the year. I've been to several crawfish boils (AWESOME!), some midnight closeout events, and two or three Easter sales. Every time, it was a great atmosphere and the staff was awesome. I guess I should say something negative. The store is really crammed with so much inventory. The aisles are narrow, so there's a good amount of "excuse me" going on. At the same time, the tight proximity that I normally would hate has brought ton some good moments. Like when I was shopping for a summer jacket and, while staring at the same jacket for 20 minutes, at least three customers separately chimed in to say what a great jacket it is. I own it, now, and it is a great jacket. But still, sometimes I just need my space! All in all, I've spent a lot of money at MotoLiberty. They're not always the cheapest, but I haven't had a better experience anywhere. That's worth occasionally, but not always, paying more. Even to a tightwad like me. read more

What a fantastic shop! This place has everything you could ever need when it comes to motorcycle gear. There have an excellent selection--if anything, you'll feel a bit overwhelmed--and it's all top quality gear at a fair price. We stopped by today because they were having a big sale and we wanted to jump on that since gear is expensive. The staff is super attentive. We were looking for all-weather jackets and being a new rider, didn't know where to begin. 1 of the guys working (I didn't catch his name) was helpful in recommending a great jacket (Taichi brand) and gave us a ton of helpful information about the benefits of the jacket, since it was one of his personal favorites. He even told us it's so damn good that he wrecked in it and it held up! The proof was hanging on the back wall where the shop displayed the speed of the crash and the damage done to the jacket. Long story short, the post-crash condition of the Taichi jacket gave us peace of mind that it would easily withstand anything (knock on wood). If we ever need more gear, this will definitely be our go-to shop. read more

Moto liberty is one of the best shops I've ever been to the people are great and they do great things but I feel that their selection is not very good. They pretty much carry exclusively Taichi stuff which isn't bad but it's not the best quality. They cater to the lower end I suppose. Hope they carry more quality stuff in the future so I can support them over others. They rarely get new stock it seems. They can order but everyone else can too. The selection of this place is enormous. If you can't find it at Moto Liberty, then it doesn't exist! What they don't have, they can order for you, too. The prices are very reasonable. Some of the stuff is cheaper and of higher quality than some online dealers. I was looking for CE rated level II armor for knees, elbows, and shoulders. Everyone else only sold CE level I armor, but I looked everywhere online and in other stores to no avail. Moto Liberty had it and... at a lower price than what others charge for CE level I armor. The elbow, knee, and shoulder armor of even $1000 Dainese jackets only have CE level I armor in the elbows and shoulders!!! You have to buy it and install it yourself if you want additional protection. Moto Liberty has it. I also got some gloves from them. The sales person was very helpful and helped me pick out a set of sick gloves for me to hit the race track with. If you have the need for speed, then Moto Liberty has your gear. They sell everything from $2200 airbag activated pro moto GP race suits to $120 Moto GP race gloves with hard armored knuckles. Service is quick, efficient and extremely helpful. If your life is at 200 mph, then Moto Liberty is the place for you. read more

Ok if you're a gearhead like me, you will absolutely loooove this place. For a small gear shop, they've got amazing inventory. They even carried the Dainese Yu track suit that I am absolutely drooling over. Granted they only had two in stock (they're running $1400 for a suit) but I was shocked they even had that. I bought a new Arai helmet and the Dainesella D-Dry women's boots from this place. There was a British guy that helped me and he was incredibly knowledgeable. I went in there because they were one of the few stores that carried the new Scorpion EXO-1000 and I wanted to try it on. After looking like a goof and wearing it around the store for 20 minutes, I was very disappointed the helmet didn't fit me but on the flip side, I fell in love with Arai. The Brit had me try on 5-6 different helmets to make sure I understood how they were supposed to fit. I didn't buy the Arai that day because I was convinced I could find the helmet cheaper online. Wow, I was wrong! It was actually about $20 cheaper at Moto Liberty, so I went back in and grabbed it. It also turned out everyone was sold out of the Dainesella boots that fit me like I glove so I picked those up at a discount too. All in all, this place is awesome. They may not be as easy in handling returns as say Cyclegear (I'm only assuming but I've never returned anything here) but they definitely care about you and will do what they can to make sure you get what you want and need. I am always looking for a great place to buy good motorcycle gear. As a female when you walk into stores you tend to get a "what is she doing here" look. Not the case at Moto Liberty. I went in on a Friday and tried on several suits. They carried a great variety for female riders, not the case at other stores. They had everything from basic entry level suits to top of the line. I went back a few days later to purchase the suit and they instantly remembered me as a past patron. They will be getting any business I need to be doing for motorcycles locally. This place is a must-stop for all riders - they provide an opportunity to try on gear in person, and will order sizes if you need to try on something else. (And they do not require purchase if you order something and decide its not going to work). They have street riding clothes, track leathers, boots, gloves, helmets, and gear for the cruiser crowd. For my wife, they carry women's gear (in limited numbers) but it gives an idea of what is available so she could see if it is what she wants and order the appropriate size if needed. Additionally, they carry the brands I want to see, namely Dainese and AlpineStars. I wish the store wasn't so cramped, but 'location, location, location' and easy access, right off the interstate is a good location. I recommend spending an extra buck or two to get it locally, where you can try it on and order the appropriate size to test fit, rather than ordering online or out of a catalog (for the knuckle-dragging, cave-dwellers) if you can. read more

This place has the best customer service. I was unsure what size or style gear I wanted so I really grilled the sales guy. I am also very picky so I sent the sales guy to the back several times to look for merchandise that doesn't have minor blemishes. He helped me look for proper fitting gear. It may seem like you pay more for store bought gear compared to online BUT do you really save money online if it doesn't fit and you have to pay money to mail it back? Went in today to buy a Bell Bullitt with a notion of what size I needed. When it was obvious I didn't really know what fit was best the woman helping me went to get another sales associate. He did a quick fit and recommended a Large which had felt too tight, but after taking out the cheek pads, replacing them with smaller ones, and talking about crown fit, the fit was better and I'm confident that once the helmet breaks in it will be perfect. So I call up to order an RS Taichi rainsuit to be prepared for a wet trackday. The sizing is always a little odd with this company, so two people get on the phone to confirm the sizing, and then actually go back into the warehouse to put hands on the suit and confirm the letter sizing matches the needed Euro sizing. I get confirmation the suit will arrive a few days early. Oh oh, shipper's delivery confirmation shows it will arrive too late. Nathan dials up local distributors near me who have previously placed orders for this item, and locates one for me at a shop between my home and the track I'm going to. (Did I mention he is emailing and texting me on Saturday and Sunday to get me hooked up?) Picked up the suit on the way to the track and survived morning torrential downpour. Okay, could I knock down a star because they misjudged the shipping time? Yes, but considering all the extra effort put in to get me the product, plus the prompt provision of a return shipping label, these guys still rate a solid 5. Would definitely recommend. read more
