Granted, I needed a top end rebuild of my 81 Honda, but every time I called for an update it seems they were "waiting for a bench to open up". I was never given a courtesy phone call like he promised, I always had to call to find out information on my bike. When I finally got the call that my bike was finished I had my driver come by to receive the bike, after giving my driver the bike with no gas tank, seat, or battery Carlos claimed that he didn't own the shop and quickly disappeared. When I received the bike it had new rust spots on the brand new muffler, the tank was sun bleached, and there's was standing water inside all of my turn signals, tail light and headlight. It would appear that it was kept outside with no cover for the duration of its 1 year residence at Brooklyn Motor Works. After more careful inspection. Of the bike I found that the oil in the crankcase had water in it, the carbs were not put on the bike correctly, my fork seals had deteriorated from sitting outside for a year, the new top end they installed was missing some bolts( can chain tension bolt, and tachometer set screw), and the "electrical wiring " that they had charged me for had just not been done. So $2300 later I have a bike that I can't ride, and can't sell until I fix all the damage cause by this shops negligence. Carlos offered to take the bike back and fix some of the problems but at this point I wouldn't trust this shop with anything. I feel like a sucker since I paid in advance, I would ask for a partial refund but it would probably take them 8 months to pay.

Also, in case you're reading this and considering bringing in your moped... just know that they only work on actual oldschool mopeds (ie. with 2 stroke engines and pedals). I had the engine restored previously and it was a runner but deserved to be redone after so many years. After some back and forth initial emails with Robbie, I brought it in. Robbie clearly discussed potential options that included less costly fixes all the way up to a full resto. I appreciated that he didn't try to upsell me. I chose the full resto and what came out after months of work was fantastic. The final cost was within the parameters of Robbie's estimate. Throughout the restoration Robbie would send me pics with updates which I really appreciated. I also brought my '66 Vespa in for a tune up. Great overall service.

When I got there I was told 340 for blinker swap, (I brought my own.) fuse change, and to check to see if the previous owner had tripped a safety on the clutch. I told them to drop the clutch inspection and just do the fuse and blinkers which came out to 180. They also ask you to pay up front based off of your own diagnostic of the problem. They wrote up the fuse issue as an electrical problem which was 100$ extra from the the actual problem which was a light bulb. Originally I was asked to pay 10$ extra for a light bulb on top of the electrical work that the bike did not need, but was eventually refunded. 80 dollars for blinker installation and a bulb still seems pricy. Especially since I could have done these repairs myself.

Probably the worst customer support experience of my life…read more I was scheduled to pick up a U-Haul truck from this "facility" because apparently U-Haul will just authorize anyone to become a franchise. When I arrived two young men were already on the phone with U-Haul customer support because the guy behind the desk could not find their reservation. When he finally found their reservation they were told they did not have enough trucks and the previous renters had not returned yet. The exact same process happened to myself and an elderly woman. The employee then left to look at the motorcycles in the shop and would not acknowledge us when we spoke directly to his face. Finally after about 15 minutes he agreed to speak with the customer service rep on our phone. They said we had to pick up from a different facility several miles away. Good thing I first checked with customer support before going to the other far away facility because the idiot at Head Gone had given me the wrong address and the backup truck was only about a mile away from Head Gone. As I left Head Gone I complained to another person that works there. His response was "What do you want me to do? They didn't return with the truck". When I explained that he is running a business and the obvious thing to do would be to schedule renters with enough buffer time in order to allow for late returns and that it was embarrassing that 3 different renters were all unable to get a single truck at the same time he responded by yelling and threatening me. When I realized I was in a screaming match with a 50 year old supposed business owner I decided to leave. Truly the most unprofessional experience of my life.

I was not expecting the bill to be so expensive. He will say "I'll try to work with you." First, he said the price was $190, then $650, and finally $950. When I bought it over, I wanted the electrical wires to be connected and the engine running. When I came to pick it up... - The headlights does NOT turn on and off. It always says on. - The turn signals does NOT work - The brake light does NOT work - The horn does NOT work - All the wires were nice and neat when i bought it over. When i picked it up, the electrical wires were dangling everywhere and cut. I asked him what the green wire you cut was and left disconnected. He doesn't know. All this play in the wires, and it still doesn't work. - The electric start does NOT work even though he claimed that the battery needs to be charged. It worked before I bought it over. It would crank when I plug in the battery. I got it back, it was completely dead. - The bike was very clean when I bought it over. It was very dirty and greasy when I got it back. We agreed to fix the engine and wires, but he only fixed the engine for $950 by using "new old stock" parts he claimed. The parts are just used parts, not NOS. Everything that was done was bare minimum. I got so pissed off when I got it back. I wanted to make this bike to look like new again but he only made it worse. I was going to keep it but now I want to get rid of it... my heart was broken when I picked it up. I asked him why isn't all the electric lights working and he said that I have to pay him more to wire it even though I told him on the phone, "fix the wiring and the engine".

Owner and mechanic of Bike Boys, Alex Borghi worked on my Harley Davidson. Quoted me $700 for work,…read moreincluded a hose replacement for an oil leak, oil and fluid change, he replaced my front and rear brakes. The service was good for two weeks, and we had a written and verbal agreement to pay in installments and that was agreed upon by both parties. Service has been paid $300/$700, until I had a small accident after using my rear brakes to shift down and stop at a red light. The rear wheel locked while in motion. After close examination the brake pad he replaced is nonexistent, and the piston went through the rotor. After a simple brake service in addition to other services done, I will now have to replace the brake caliper, the piston, rotor, and new brake pad, I will now be spending double to repair the bike after his damages. Mechanic Alex has since blocked my number and ghosted me after agreeing to fix the issue he caused. I will be pursuing this issue to the highest extent of the law. Thankfully I am not dead. He has zero organization and poor communication. The issue has since been professionally diagnosed and not based on assumption! Harley compatible parts were not used for the brake servicing! Also not disclosed was the ongoing issue Alex had while doing my rear brakes, to the point that diagrams had to be looked up to determine whether or not he was correct! Not only was the tone and choice of words on the phone call I had to make from a separate number despicable but extremely rude to a customer and friend he had a personal friendship with. The issue after being professionally diagnosed was deemed not a user error but a mechanical error. Mr. Borghi since has still not returned any call or message and since deemed he is not responsible for the work done when clearly he was the only person to touch my brakes. There should be no surprise after reading this review as this will remain on his conscious forever!
