I needed to extend my stay, and when I arrived at the office she already had everything ready to go. The process was quick and stress-free because of her organization and professionalism. Room smelled of stale cigarettes. Dogs barked all night from different rooms. I imagine the dog pound was quieter. Had horrible allergies while in room. Runny nose, itchy hands. Filter may need to be cleaned. Room appeared clean, but table was gooey on the edges. Front desk check in was person efficient. Our room reservation was only on one computer and our room had been given away. We checked in at 6pm. Listen when you are required to sign a sheet of paper saying you'll be responsible for any holes punched in the wall, broken tv screens, stains on sheets or towels and that you are only allowed to stay 3 weeks you start getting a good idea what you're in for. I will come back to rodeo, but instead of Motel 6 I'd rather sleep in my car if there was no where else to stay. read more

I stayed here on July 5th on my way home from Yosemite. The room was spacious and very clean. Very comfortable room. Our neighbors were a little loud and people would gather outside and talk during late night and early morning hours but inconsiderate people are not the hotel's problem. I thought the price was fair/good. Not too many amenities in the room. The water pressure in the shower was okay/good. The toilet was so TINY!! SO small and short! I know that this is the trend with a lot of hotels and motels now but I know some people that would not be able to sit on a toilet that low and be able to get back up! And not to be crude but I hate when my balls hit the water when sitting down!! Absolutely hate it!! I took a star off for the super tiny toilet. It did what it needed to do! We wanted a cheep but decent hotel room for the night and it was just that. And we had a dog as well. The bedding was scratchy it had full balls all over it. But again the place did what it needed to do. It was ok room was clean and decent. read more

He had not plan on staying over night but had a jib to finish & decided to stay here & surprisingly so that this Motel 6 was not bad. I personally have not had good experiences at other Motel 6 but this one was good. She was so kind to offer him amenities like toothbrush & toothpaste . It was just to sleep. Don't get too excited I raided this 5 Stars not because of the accommodations which were a strong three and a half I raided at 5 because of the staff especially the pretty one Nikki. She showed me true professionalism and sympathy when it had come to light that I had made a mistake with my booking dates. Notnly did She go above and beyond the call of duty to help solve a problem that really didn't affect her. It was my problem my mistake my responsibility but she made me want to solve it just to see her excited. (yes, I might of had a little crush, but id have to be dead not to) I was able to find the documentation. when I arrived to hand over said document, as I approached the window she had a true look at disappointment on her face when she said Andrew you didn't try and fix it! Disappointment suddenly replaced her beautiful eyes as they silently begged for an explanation. And it had better be some Oscar winning drama that prevented me from doing so. Well long story short, she was genuinely happy for me. Which made me feel strange. But good. Strangely good. She is a dedicated employee on the front lines taking heavy fire from a î pool lol ltenants with childish complaints or demand refunds because they can't take the time to read what they are agreeing to( like myself )and yet she still cares about those who are firing at her, not only dodging the bullets but guiding them so those bullets find a Target in the problems the tenants have locking them out one by one. She's too professional to ever accept and someone like her has someone at home waiting for but she is definitely the kind of girl any mom would be happy if their sons brought home. I am a frequent guest of this Motel every time we go to the casino. It's always a pleasant stay. The front desk is always welcoming and respectful. Joy is such a wonderful person, always smiling and accommodating unlike the other chubby front desk which is mean. The place is decent and the price is just fair. read more

I've stayed here several times in the last year and the first time I had a pleasant experience with a clean room and a decent price and they are pet friendly but I stayed here a couple weeks ago and my room was full of gnats which I overlooked although they were really bad and then Came the big giant cock roaches crawling out from underneath the bed at that point I called the front desk they came they seen the roaches and they moved me to a different room so that room I didn't have any bugs other than flies but then the maid came I was going to stay here two days mind you have made comes the second day and I thankfully had the latch closed. She knocked I told her I'll be right there and I was very sick so took me a minute to get to the door I haven't even gotten up yet out of the bed and I said just a minute I'm coming and she proceeds to open the door I said I told you I'll be right there She still standing there with the door open talking to me and asked me if I'm staying I said yes I'm staying I've already arranged it with the front desk no please close the door because I was naked in my bed sitting on the bed naked and she wouldn't close the door she kept trying to talk to me at that point I had to scream shut the fu**ing door!! She gets mad and slams the door and immediately my room phone rang and it was the front desk asking me what's going on because I guess they could hear it or see it on the cameras I don't know I told her she said she was having that made talk to the manager and they offered me a discount if I wanted to stay at that point I had planned on staying but after all this I said you know what no I'm not staying so they offered me a discount on my next day so I came through town again yesterday And I thought OK I'll give them another chance and use my discount I had tonight I was saying before I get here the room smells weird I have my granddaughter with me and she says grandma smells weird in here and she starts looking through everything like a teenager would do and we found a crack pipe right next to the bed and I immediately call the front desk tell them someone has just been in this room smoking meth and left their pipe and I don't I'm not gonna stay in this room so they move me to another room and then I come in here and the toilets plugged I will never stay at this place again and I really really wish I would've just got my money back and not spent the second night. This place was awful. I booked a non smoking room online and they gave me a smoking room and refused to put me in any other room because they were booked. Due to the fact there was no other hotel rooms available in the whole town off Oakdale we had to stay. The room was horrendous, not just because of the smoke smell, the sheets had cigarette burns all over them and the bathroom and the whole room was filthy and looked as if it had not been cleaned in awhile. The smoke smell was absolutely awful too. Never stay at this motel, you'd be better off sleeping in your car. read more

First, if you stay here for the staff alone you will have an excellent stay. That being said if you want to stay here for a good night's sleep go elsewhere! All you hear is noise...motorcycles and cars starting at all hours, neighbors talking etc. Walls between rooms are paper thin. Things quiet down outside at about midnight/1am on a Friday night, until then you will not sleep unless you have hearing problems. This is not a peaceful place at all. If you want to rest stay elsewhere. Now, let's talk about the rooms...minimalist at best. Not one thing on the wall, no alarm clock or bedside lighting. This is a room with a bed and tv...don't think about relaxing in a comfortable chair or couch, there isn't one. The bathroom hasn't been remodeled in years...pink tile on the floors that is in severe need of grout and bleach. No coffee pot in your room and 1 bar of soap to share with the shower and the sink. Nicely cleaned rooms, looked up to date and well taken care of. Bathrooms are outdated but very clean, however they did not provide any toiletries besides a single bar of soap. Overall a nice place for a last minute night stay, but make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner! We had jet ski's with us as well, and felt safe enough to unhook them and park them in their own parking spaces without worry of them being tampered with. read more

I have nothing bad to say of the service or people at this hotel. I give it one star simply for being disgusting. Our carpet was sticky. You could see the built up dirt and soil on the edge of the carpet by the wall. The rooms smelled of musky cigarettes and everything was old and worn out. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Oakdale Motel 6. We chose the motel as we could bring our dog, the three of us having been chased out of our house by floor resurfacing. The room was large, clean, nice décor and had a fridge and a microwave. I was a little disappointed that there was only bars of soap and no shampoo. I was really surprised at the absence of an alarm clock! Fortunately, we weren't staying on a work night. read more

Spent the weekend here and was not very happy with the room. Stains on the bedspread and carpet, Tattered curtains, Wallpaper coming off of the walls, Mice crap in the bathroom . the towels were clean but felt like sandpaper as well as the sheets. All in all not a great experience. Seems like the owners have pushed the "stretch the dollar thing way to far" To their credit the desk staff were nice and efficient . Absolutely one of the worst motels I've ever been to in my entire life, I would have rather slept in my truck. the rooms are in shambles the carpet is disgusting the sink has a crack in it. And the beds are so worn down you need to be replaced I checked in for two nights and I'm leaving early because I can't stand how dirty it is. I guess I'll rather stay at the Doubletree in Modesto and drive 25 minutes into Oakdale because all of the hotels in Oakdale absolutely suck. read more

We made a reservation through booking.com for two rooms on a Saturday night (holiday weekend). When we arrived to check in, they couldn't find our reservations. Motel 6 apparently forgot to "manually add" our rooms from booking.com. There were no rooms available in any hotel in all of Stanislaus county. Not happy! read more

First Time visiting, first time was a good visit, however thus time was like stepping into the creepy crawler zone... Inspected for bed bugs and found Lil roach on bed by head board and baby spiders on covered cups and ice bucket with webs, like this room has been vacant for months, so they moved us and this was bug free but smelled terrible read more

This is a crappy hotel. My bed was hard as a rock, the bar in the parking lot had loud people until 4am, the TV and WiFi don't work, and there was no shampoo in shower. Well it looks as though this Motel 6 location was remodeled. New bedding, Maroon bed covers and bed skirts, new wall paper, fridge and microwave in room. Shower had massage head, so relaxing. Pleasant staff. Plenty of hot water. Two sinks. One in bath area and one in sleeping area next to frig and microwave. Next door to restaraunt . Taco Bell across the street and 7 11 2 doors down for the stuff you might forget. ie: tooth brush, etc. And all for 53.00 with Senior discount. read more

The room I stayed in was the worst I have ever seen. There was a chair in it that I wouldn't sit in it even if I had 5 pairs of cloths on. It was nasty. The furniture was so worn out. The lighting was like being in a dark dungeon. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was no shampoo, lotion, and mouthwash. The soap wasn't big enough for a baby. Carpet had several stains. Shower head looked like it had 20 years of gunk on it. It is not worth the $99. It basically looks like what I have seen a crack house look like on tv. I wouldn't go there again. I would sleep in my truck first. read more
