Lovely price, good beds, enthusiastic in room A/C on a very balmy day, pet friendly (no charge for dogs!), and convenient place to rest for weary travelers on the way to LA on I-5. Cary at reception was a kindhearted dear soul, and even applied an extra discount code for me at check in. This all in stark contrast to the bait and switch of the Holiday Inn Lebec and its Priceline Express Deal, which was double the price and snotty. The hotel manager Lester A. tried to charge me a $30 pet fee, despite the Priceline Express Deal advertising the hotel as pet friendly and no mention of pet fees in the "Important Information" section. Lester blamed Priceline and Priceline customer service (in some offshore location) pointed the finger back at Lester. Never again, Priceline or Holiday Inn Lebec. Your smarmy, unaccountable business practices deserve to be spurned. read more

We called around 10pm to ask if there were any rooms available. The woman working the front desk that late at night was great. She was very friendly and we were able to make the reservation over the phone very quickly. Once we arrived we were able to get everything squared away in no time. She also reminded us to use AAA. She seriously deserves a raise! She's the reason for me giving any stars in my review at all. The hotel itself isn't nice at all. The pool area is a total dump and the hotel itself is super outdated. Thanks again third shift front desk! You were awesome! read more

Motel 6 - Check in takes 10minutes per customer. Had to wait in linefor 40 minutes - Hotels Near Me - Lebec, California

Great motel. Very clean room and comfortable bed. In a nice area as and well lit outside. Employes are nice and gracious. My go to when visiting Bakersfield since Bakersfield lacks a nice Motel 6. Nice we could have pur dogs with us. read more

It's a Motel 6. Spartan, but clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. The bed is very comfortable, ask for more pillows. Coffee in the lobby. We came up to play in the snow and stayed here. Perfect for what we wanted, which was cheap and convenient. We are coming back and will stay here again. The wifi is Very. Slow. You get what you pay for - it's a Motel 6. read more

Clean and comfy. Microwave and fridge in each room. Friendly staff. I didn't hear the trucks on the Grapevine at all, but you might want to pack earplugs -- the downstairs outside door closes with a big Whomp! each time someone uses it. For breakfast, Big John's Diner, just up a side road, is a great alternative to the Denny's. It's a real home-grown place, on a fine little small-town street. Ask the desk for easy directions. read more

This was by far the nicest Motel 6 we have ever stayed at. Room was huge; fridge and microwave. Good a c in this heat. Close to services. Even by the fwy so close it was quiet. Not my favorite coffee but hey it's free and no fee for our dog to stay. Cushy beds. Very nice read more

I thought I was going to have to pay three times as much to find a hotel room down in LA, but here, just an hour or so north of town, was the savior. Big room, interesting surroundings with a truck stop, perfectly adequate. I could have done without the motorcyclists revving their engines in the parking lot, and the big trucks made their presence felt, too, but still got a good night's sleep. read more

Good value for the money. I am a single person and I just want a place to sleep. It served my purpose. Clean room, and I requested facing away from the freeway and I didn't hear any cars! I could list a few imperfections but what do you expect for $62 a night on the weekend. Don't look down at the empty pool with Dirty rainwater, look up at the beautiful mountains and save your money! read more

Raw sewage leaking into the room. A clean up that didn't include any cleaning supplies; just a shop vac and some towels. A brown water leak from the ceiling into our sink. What a joyful place to stay. When I enquired about some money off the price of the room, the response was "why? because YOU overflowed the toilet?" I said 20 dollars off would be sufficient. I got the crook-eye from Amber. When retelling the story to motel 6 corporate, I was told this was a franchised property. Probably not for long. The CSR that i spoke with agreed with my wife that 20 dollars off probably wasn't sufficient. She told me that the room would be comped. I guess she was wrong too. When i called back after not seeing the credit on my statement, I was told that the 20 dollars off that Amber had extended to me was sufficient for Motel 6. Sure, that was what i had agreed upon at first, but if someone says they are going to go the distance, they had danged well better. I award you no stars, and may God have mercy on your soul! read more

Got a decent room here around 5am after a failed attempt to drive back to Sacramento and some unfortunately timed food poisoning. The lady was very friendly and to our surprise let us know the room was ours until checkout the next day, meaning we could sleep in very late. It was also nice of her to mention you can get a discount with your AAA card. The room was clean enough, spacious and had most amenities we would need like a fridge. Also the Flying J mart and Denny's are a short walk away and provide many basic foods and supplies you might need. My only complaint was the bathroom didn't seem to have a vent fan or a window. Not so good when the main reason your stopped for the night is food poisoning... read more

Overall a good place to stay, quiet for the most part. Very close to a few businesses and easy to get too!

Loving this place!! My new stopping point! I don't really want to give away this little secret, but this place is great! Prices are among the best! Room is large and very spacious ( 2 queen beds) and has a microwave (some places charge for that.) the room smells clean and fresh. The carpet is clean, the walls are clean, the bathtub is clean. BEST PART- IT HAS A BLOW-DRYER!!!! Amazing!! It's far enough off the free way that I can't hear traffic but close enough that I'm not driving out of my way to get here. The lady who check us in was so sweet and made our tired feet feel welcomed. Her name was Cary (at least I'm pretty dang sure that's her name) and she was the sweetest damn thing ever!! It takes ALOT to impress me with motels or hotels and this place knocked my socks off!! read more

Pros -pretty nice for a Motel 6 (didn't have high expectations for the franchise) -great staff -cheap price -Denny's next door -looks clean (including frig, microwave, etc.) -seem pretty safe (not a lot of crazy activities going on the premises. That's the first thing I look for being traveling with two small children) Cons -loud trucks (big truck stop) -short showers (if you're taller than 5'5" it will hit you in the chest) -thin towel (need to invest in new towels) -itchy linens (fleas "maybe" they are pet friendly) Short and sweet hope this help fellow travelers. read more

After a long day of traveling I needed a room on the ground floor that was handicap accessible and the night Manager Michael was such a warm friendly person, he helped me out huge and was just a really good person. I will be back and especially because of his hospitality and good positive energy! Thanks Michael and Motel 6 Lebec. Great room for a great price! read more

Very good room, terrible Wi-Fi. No clock, no shampoo, no Kleenex, no breakfast, but the price was right. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, and the staff friendly. There were literally dozens of truckers staying there the night we were there, but we didn't hear their rigs. It was difficult to get into the parking lot, with the big rigs parked everywhere, partially blocking the entrance. The facilities all worked well. We will stay there again on our way back through in a month or so. read more

I have to say for a motel 6 this place was great. I've always been iffy with motel 6 because every time they have been terrible but this one was great. The 1 queen bed with a couch in the room was so nice. Everything was so clean. There's even a frig & microwave in the room which is awesome. Very nice people work here as well. Recommend this place to anyone that needs to get some rest. read more

I was torn about how many stars to give this place. First of all, THERE WERE BED BUGS. we actually saw them. Spotted a bug late at night when we got there but didn't know what it was and just dismissed it. Then woke up in the morning and my daughter said she saw another one in the middle of the night. So then I pulled up the sheets on both beds and found two more crawling around on the bare mattress. I took a pic of one and it's not great quality but I'm 100% sure that's what they were because I googled image and put image side by side with live bug and they were exact. When I told the desk people, I got the impression they didn't believe us. I got really heated and they sure didn't know how to de-escalate the situation. It made me more angry. They did finally offer to refund our nights stay. I just wanted them to know they had bugs so they could take care of it to prevent spreading. Other than that the rooms had every necessity for a quick nights star. Seemed cleaned otherwise. read more

We ran out of steam on our way to San Diego and decided to stop here for the night. We stay at Motel 6's fairly often so we know what to expect for the most part. We were pleasantly surprised that this one exceeded our expectations. We were checked in quickly by the friendly desk clerk. Room was right down the hall. Interior corridors, that's a plus! Even though we were just staying the night we had a lot of stuff to bring in. We were on our way to a wedding and had our good clothes, wedding presents and our overnight bags to bring in (our vehicle doesn't lock properly and we didn't want to chance it). Well very helpfully they had luggage carts available to bring everything in in one go. Our room was very nice with a king bed, small sofa, coffee table and a desk and chair. After reading other older reviews I quickly pulled down the bedcovers to check for bugs but found it clear and clean. The bed had a pillowtop mattress. So comfy! Bathroom was clean, AC worked fine. We had a very pleasant night's sleep here. Lebec does not offer much in the way of fine dining, but we were able to wander over to the Quiznos inside the AM/PM across the road for a pretty tasty sandwich, and a cup of tea. There are other fast food options and pizza delivery available too. The pool looks like it's been out of commission for years so don't count on taking a refreshing swim here. Rooms have fridges and microwaves, also hairdryer and I believe iron and ironing boards. Would definitely stay here again. read more

Honestly, it was more than we could have hoped for. We were on a last minute road trip down I-5 to deal with a family medical emergency. We had our little dog in the car with us, and we just needed a place to rest for the night that we knew would allow him. Tidy, pleasant, clean, quiet and welcoming at after midnight. Heck, it even had indoor hallways, which frankly impressed us at that hour. Cost is slightly more than the Motel 6's down in the valley, but the calm and quiet of not having to listen to trucks roar by all night was worth it. Nice hot shower with great pressure, and we were refreshed and back on our way in the morning, without having to spend a bundle. read more

Why 5 stars? Great location, friendly service, clean rooms, free wireless, free morning coffee in lobby, microwave and fridge in room and very pet friendly (no extra charge for dogs). All this for $68. Seriously, this is the definition of good VALUE! The TV in room is old so if watching TV is important to you then you might be disappointed. And there is no in-room coffee maker or free shampoo. But who needs that stuff? Besides, this is why the price is so good. No frills lodging at its best. If I'm stuck in Lebec for the night after a long days drive, I'd return. read more

Rated 5 stars, mostly due to its location. While it may be an average motel in most areas, in the Frazier Park area, this motel is fantastic. Nice clean rooms, amenities, and nice friendly staff. I was snowed out from my house (about 15 miles from the freeway) and had to stay in a motel a couple of nights. I stayed here as it's one of only 3-4 in the area, and was easiest to get to. I had to stay for 2 days because the roads were snowed and couldn't get home, but they were great! They gave me a special rate since I was a local as well, and that really helped, being as my house was 15 miles away and wasn't crazy about having to pay to stay in a motel/hotel of any kind being that close. Cheers to the staff at Motel 6 in Lebec. If you come over the Grapevine in California, you most certainly can do worse than this motel. read more

Elderly lady at the front desk whinnying to guests about another guest, Then complaining on how bad corporate is and how they implemented new technologies that are obsolete, etc... All this past midnight right when I needed a room to get my baby in and get some rest after hours driving I asked her politely to please expedite the check in She got mad at me and said We're having a conversation here, if you're worried for your baby bring her in, I said I can't bring her in because it's freezing outside, and she's sick My husband will get her out of the car once We have the room. After this, she continues complaining to the other guest who was visibly frustrated to have to listen to her, he mentioned having babies waiting in the car as well, but the lady at the counter just wanted to vent!! I know it can get pretty lonely to work graveyard shifts but honestly this wasn't professional at all!! I know this is not Caesars Palace, and that customer service might not be the best, but seriously customer service here was non-existent! That Lady needs to understand that people arriving ( specially after midnight) are dead tired and do not need to here how unsatisfied she is with her job, and more importantly being rude to guests and talking behind their backs to new guests is just the last straw ! She needs a different job, where she doesn't have to deal with people. Paloma Gonzalez read more

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. If on a road trip and are trying to stay on budget and relax in a nice momo this is the place.

I did some shopping around and the price was unbeatable. The clerk at the front desk was friendly and very useful. Was also able to throw some funny jokes at him. The room was big. There was a microwave, a couch a desk area and flat screen tv. Alot of options with the channels. The bed was comfortable. The only downside was we found a spider on the shower curtain. They didn't had any shampoo bottles and I wish there was more pillow. Two was just not enough read more

Don't stay here!!!! There are many budget friendly hotels in the area and i would recommend any of them before this one. we had made a reservation and when we arrived late at night we were greetedby a rude , patronizing front desk person. One thing annoyed me was when i came in, the front desk lady asked if i have reservation. i said no then she told me told me there is no room available that is a smoke free, except one that had a king bed. Then she said i will check again if someone canceled their reservation. I am thinking to myself how come the entire smoke free rooms can be in use when there was no cars outside. I didn't say anything she magically found me a room to stay for the night. Front desk workers usually say that to make them look they are always filled with guests. And always in demand but we all know how they usually work. Over all it's good. Some neighbors were kind of laud but it didn't bother me enough for me to go outside read more

This was a pleasant stop on our way to southern California. With a large, young family, we had to cut our travel days fairly short, and so we became acquainted with a number of Motel 6 establishments along the I5 route. This one was definitely the cleanest. It's nothing fancy, but the rooms were reasonably clean and large enough to maneuver around in (had not been the case in some of them). We were just staying long enough to get some sleep before finishing up our trip, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay over again if we had the same itinerary. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Stayed at this motel 6 on Tuesday July 26th me & my mom found 4 bed bugs while we were there 2 in her bed & 2 in mine when we told the front desk a nice man apologized & got the "General Manager" & when she came to the front she made us feel like we were lying which escalated the situation you should never argue with a customer it's not like we were complaining about an order being wrong at McDonald's bed bugs are a serious matter & they seemed to just want to prove us wrong even when we showed a picture & the bite on my leg the general manager said "That's a beetle" even if it was that's still disgusting to have in a bed where we are sleeping.. I would never stay here again or suggest this place to anyone do yourself a favor and drive to the next exit & stay somewhere nicer. read more

We stay with this brand exclusively when driving because of Pickles. She's our 50pound baby. More moderate accommodations want ridiculous pet fees or they won't take her at all. It seems like I have been to every Motel 6 between SF and Az. We try and shoot for Lebec for a reason! #1 it's in the middle of now where . The only people stopping here are others in the know and truckers. Nobody is going to be breaking in to your car and there won't be 3 generations of meth addicts in the room next door. #2 it's clean! I've seen the maid's cart. Unlike most 6's she is using actual cleaning products. I have no problem taking a shower here because I know I won't be running into a scary demon bug or find enough hairs in the shower to make my very own Motel 6 wig. #3 Safety. The rooms here are all inside facing. This keeps people who are up to no good at bay. Never stay at a 6 in a populated area. Never! People live there and they bring cops and drugs. It's not worth your car being broken into so you can have a slightly better breakfast in the morning. #3 if your dumb ass forgot the popcorn they sell it in the vending machine for a buck. There is also a microwave and mini fridge in your room. read more

Great Motel 6. Quiet, clean, large rooms. Lots of parking and friendly staff make this a good stop if you need to rest.

Found this hotel by accident. Amazing service. The receptionist gave me the only available room, which is smoking. I thought it would smell horrible. It turned out I could hardly smell anything. My kids and spouse were comfortable. The best thing is honesty. I left two tablets and a multiple charger. I came back 13 hours later and it was safely kept and wrapped. I didn't lose anything. Exceptional quality and character of the staffs. Great job, guys. Keep up the excellent work. read more
