Leaving my 5 star review to be able to come back to this lil comfy spot! Our room was super spacious and the FULL SIZE refrigerator was the highlight of my stay. The freezer and refrigerator worked super well! It has a microwave, a huge plus for travelers!!! The beds felt like memory foam and the sheets were clean. The location of this hotel was perfect. It is right off of the highway and has gas stations, a Wendys, a Chinese restaurant, a lil spot for snacks, microwaveable food and adult beverages! I super loved it. It also has bear crossings apparently but we were not fortunate to see any. We did, however, get to see the wild bunnies that come into the property at night! Perfect for animal lovers to watch. Oh and the crows were super beautiful and huge! Five stars from me. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but better than any in this area!!! read more

This motel is one of the worst I've seen. Upon entering the room, the ceiling light didn't work, the shutter/blinds on the window wouldn't close all the way, and the seat on the toilet was so loose it was falling off. I had to tighten the hardware in order to sit on it. Doesn't look like the floors were vacuumed because there was dirt particles all over. Looks like food spilled on the nightstand and ran down the side and that was never cleaned up as well. The carpet was old and worn and there was mold in the shower. Maintenance and cleaning are not existent! Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place! read more

March 27, 2025... checked in late evening, hotel desk manager was super friendly. The room was quiet and clean. Strange you had to pay for ice from a vending machine, but even more strange was there was NO COFFEE... not anywhere in the building... hotel clerk said the hotel did not have enough water and/or was undergoing some kind of renovation and perhaps have water for coffee later when renovation was finished. Overnight in Lebec Last time I remember staying in a Motel 6 was well over 9 years ago. Actually, this was a better place than the last two-night stay at a Days Inn. Stayed here for one night which is about what any stay in Lebec would be, rest for weary travelers. Quick trip to pick up my daughter's car from a family friend. The registration lobby was old and dated but is spacious, clean and has a bright interior because of the large bay windows. The hallways are wide. Parking is plentiful, basically a stop for truck drivers. Quiet place, didn't see anyone loitering out, and when we left the next day our view was snow capped mountain peaks and Highway 5. It isn't fancy but it was warm and had comfortable beds. I'd say our stay was average on all counts (including the price) and we had a very restful evening. Our room had 2 queen beds, and your basic amenities: a small fridge, microwave oven, and TV. It was advertised that they had free Wi-Fi but I didn't bother to see if it worked. Just north of L.A. this budget motel is conveniently located and easy access to I-5 exit 205 and just 4.3 miles away from Pyramid Lake. Pet friendly. Review #1301 read more

We stayed with Grandma here at this location. She was in her 90's and they always made sure to get us an accommodating room for her needs. We had two beds, and plenty of towels. Grandma enjoyed being able to travel and have her space, but we also liked having her close to keep her safe. Win win. The parking is plentiful and close. The room was big enough for all of us. And I appreciated that they honored the senior discount for her. She loved the coffee. Motel 6 made our *Grandma Travels* memories special. My husband and I have stayed here many times and have many positive memories of this place. The standard king room has a sofa in it and a microwave and they usually have rooms available, even last minute when it's snowing. We've frequently come here to have a quick snow getaway since snow in LA is somewhat unpredictable. Last night I stopped here on the way back from the Bay Area, and I just wanted to take a bath and get a few hours of sleep. The bathtub was very cracked and had pubic hair in it, so I couldn't take a bath (not just one either. Several hairs. Ew). The rest of the room was quite clean or I would have left. The tv reception was crappy. The blankets are so thin I had to pump up the heater to be able to sleep, which I hate. I chose this hotel over Holiday Inn because it's cheaper.... But there is a pretty big difference in the comfort level. If you are on a budget and can bring your own additional bedding, and you don't need to shower, this place isn't awful. read more

Great hotel (especially for a Motel 6). My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago on a trip. The only complaint I have is against the My6 app that I tried to make the reservations on. It wouldn't let me log in to make it so I had to call directly. The hotel room was large (king bed). It had a couch and a desk also. Everything worked as it should. My wife even stayed at this location with her mother a again a few days ago. There's a truck stop next door which some may not like but it's just been totally redone and has a Wendy's restaurant so we went there for frosties after we walked to the Los Pinos restaurant for dinner about a 1/4 mile away. I've stayed in a lot of Motel 6s, so I'm pretty familiar with their overall standards, but this place falls short. I booked single night stays on consecutive Saturday nights for a road trip. Both were in their "small rooms". The size was fine but the first night the bathroom was filthy. The second night the shower had a spurting leak, the room had a powerful stench of cheap cologne, and (worst of all) the AC was barely functional. This was intolerable on a 100+ degree day. It was colder outside in the morning than it was in my room with the AC full blast all night. I'm a 280 lb hairy guy and I had to strip naked and sweat profusely all night into the pillows and mattress. Let that image linger as you make your decision on where to stay. read more

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet, pet friendly, low priced room on the Grapevine, this is the place! Traveling south on the 5 at night, there was an accident up ahead at Pyramid Lake, so I decide to stay the night in the Grapevine and continue in the morning. Late at night, with my cat, I was a little bit worried about whether I'd be able to find someplace decent on short notice. I called this Motel 6, and got a very empathetic person on the other end who said come on in and bring your cat! I was able to park very close to the front entrance and I got a lovely, incredibly clean and freshly painted room for the night. They had dark wood stained laminate flooring, which is just so much nicer than carpet because you know it's clean! And a nice bed and a very clean bathroom with nice bright lights that are great for applying make up. Even though I was close to the lobby, it was very quiet and I got a great night's sleep with my little cat. I was surprised at how little it cost and how easy it was! The staff were really friendly and nice, and it was absolutely perfect for what I needed! If ever I am stuck in the Grapevine again, this is definitely the place where I will stay! read more

This Motel 6 is really spacious compared to most. Front staff seemed very honest. Parking is plentiful for both auto, trucks towing trailers, and there is parking for 16 wheelers along the side and back. Place is out in the middle of nowhere and this time unlike my stay at the Temecula Motel 6, I didn't have any ghetto drug addict looking people sleeping next door to me or no screaming kids running around at 11pm! Nice spacious rooms! Our room was a two bed. It came with a CLEAN microwave, ac, a whirlpool fridge from the 1980's that works better than some of the newer Chinese made ones, an iron, iron board, hair dryer, and an IR heated bathroom! The interior is from the 1990's, but the beds were really comfy as they used the older pillow top mattresses, unlike the cheap Chinese ones newly remodeled Motel 6's uses! Even the front lobby and hallways are twice the size than most other motel 6's I've stayed at. There is no wifi it seems at this hotel. I think tonight I will finally get good night sleep. I will remember this place the next time I come out this way! read more

Affordable and decent if you need a place to stay while going through the Grapevine. There are bed bugs however. I read a previous review stating the same thing but hoped it was just a one off sort of thing. Turns out they haven't gotten rid of the nasty little things. Luckily I had a sleeping bag, my own pillow, and a towel. Maybe they'll give me a parasitic insect courtesy refund, but some how I doubt it. I'll update my review if they do. read more

I am writing this review from this Motel 6, sitting on the bed. (For the visual people out there.) This is the 3rd time I've stayed here in the past year. I found this Motel 6 unexpectedly after a very stressful move out of Los Angeles. My car, filled with 3 dogs, a bunch of my belongings, and my boyfriend, plus pulling a trailer filled with even MORE of my stuff, started spewing out black smoke after driving north through the Grapevine. I pulled over and after crying on the phone to my mom, she looked on her phone and told me I was near a Motel 6 (at the exit I was at!) and that I should go in and get a good night's rest. I was reluctant at first but seeing everyone's exhausted faces, I agreed. I was hugely surprised to get such an incredibly huge room! We were able to park my car with trailer very close to the room - no hassle. We even had a view of it out our window. The dogs loved it here. (I'm sure they would have loved anywhere that didn't have boxes everywhere or wasn't the car, but I digress.). The room was clean. We had two queen beds. A bathtub (I know some Motel 6s only have a shower which is why I'm pointing it out.) We had a flat screen tv. A little refrigerator and a microwave. There is a small desk and a dining table with two chairs. The water pressure feels good to me. I sobbed in the room that night. I know this is "only a Motel 6" but it was the Taj Mahal for us that night!! I'll never forget how much I appreciated this place that night. We all needed that peaceful moment in an extremely personally stressful time in our lives. DOGS: I have Pitbull rescues. They are very well behaved and quiet. The room was big enough where they could walk around, drink their water, eat their food, play, sleep, etc. and it not feel claustrophobic to us (usually sitting on the beds on our laptops!) I love taking them on walks around the property even though there are large trucks entering and exiting from the Flying J next door. The only other thing that sucks is the massive amount of trash on the little mountain thing next to the motel. But what I love is that this area is so open, it's great for taking your dogs out and not having to be right next to other people or dogs. PARKING LOT: It's huge. I felt very comfortable parking my car & Uhaul trailer in the parking lot. There is plenty of room, especially if you have a trailer and you can even request a room with a window looking out to the parking lot so you can keep an eye on your vehicle. (I don't know about you but that kind of stuff eases my mind.) They do tell you to lock your vehicle and that they're not responsible for stolen items but 1) I always lock my doors and 2) everywhere you go says that nowadays. ROOMS: I am a non-smoker and my room did not smell like smoke. Yay! I like the refrigerator & microwave because I am the queen of leftovers. The beds are comfortable. The pillows, not so much. I bring my own pillow, I'm weird like that but it always pays off. I also bring my own towel and an extra (soft) sheet to use in the bed. It makes me feel a little more comfortable and it's always worth it to me. DISCOUNTS: I got a AAA (American Automobile Association) discount. Not much but every little bit adds up. FOOD & STUFF: Vending machines by the room, you can get water and typical vending machine snacks. It does not take debit or credit cards though. They have free coffee by the front desk from 7am to 10am. No food. (Heat up your leftovers in the room! ) WIFI: It's free. Yay. It sucks though. Boo. Couldn't even download a file. Oh well. Time to focus on everything else in my life. (Where there's a wall, make a window! lol) Good luck and enjoy. Oh and I put 4 stars instead of 5 due to the WIFI being so bad (and you don't find that out until you're comfy in the room.) It's not a deal breaker for me but I do a lot of business on my computer and I need fast Internet. If the slowness is out of their hands, then I would give them 5 stars, as long as they told people at check in that the Internet was slow. read more

Come down at 8am and I have a $338 ticket on my car. The managers were soo rude as I asked for an email from them to contest. One manager hung up on me . Please DO NOT stay here. It's difficult to find lodging that accepts dogs but I decided to give this place a try on a road trip to San Francisco as I was excited to visit family with my pooch. The first thing I noticed was how poorly maintained my room was but all I needed was a place for my dog and I to get some sleep. Next I realized that the exit door near my room did not lock. That gave me an uneasy feeling because the motel is very close to I-5 and next to a truck stop. Anyone could have pushed the door open. And the staff acted as though it was no problem and would even make it easier for their guests to come and go. But the worst problem was that when I woke in the morning, I noticed two ticks - yes, you heard it, ticks - on the headboard. I hurried out of bed to check my dog and there on the top of his head were a cluster of small ticks. On further inspection, I found many more. Getting them all off took close to an hour. Like I always do at any hotel/motel, I had put the bedspread on the floor. I picked the bedspread up and shook it on to the bed and was totally disgusted when at least 20 ticks fell on to the sheet. I rounded as many of them up as I felt comfortable doing, flushed them down the toilet, and hurried out of the room. Of course, on my way out I told the woman at the front desk. She totally dismissed me and actually accused my dog of bringing the ticks in to her "fine establishment". I assured her that somebody's dog brought them in but it wasn't my dog. Because I was enroute to visit my six year old grandson, I had him groomed the day before and there were no ticks. I also give him a monthly tick treatment which I'd done only three days before and I have my yard treated for ticks every month. Of course, in my haste to leave that room I had not taken photographs. I was not expecting to be reimbursed but hoped they'd at least apologize and assure me they'd have their staff do a more thorough cleaning job and treat the rooms that they allow dogs in between guests. I was totally disgusted not only by this infestation but by the attitude of the Motel 6 staff. Needless to say, this completely ruined our vacation as I could not take the chance that we'd take ticks in to my son's home. Since getting home, I've had to spend a lot of time and money insuring that my home, auto, and dog are as tick free as they were when I left on our trip one week ago. Lastly, the property itself had garbage all around the grounds and garbage cans and cigarette butt containers were overflowing. Please DO NOT stay here. There has to be some other option. read more

Truly awful experience. I've stayed here before and it was not bad. Through the years this place has gone downhill. You can tell that the management or owners no longer care about the property. There was trash strewn around the parking lot. Even right at the entrance, trash, candy wrappers, cigarette butts. Upon entering the lobby, the lobby reeked of cigarettes. I have a feeling the night staff was smoking and it was seeping out into the lobby. The hallway had a giant cockroach wandering around and when we got to our room, which was literally stuck down in a basement .. the room was so small it was as if it had been a storage room converted to a room. The room was dirty and disgusting. I was terrified that there might be roaches coming into our room, so we slept with tv on, so the room would be slightly lit. When we arrived to check in about 11:40 pm we waited about 10 minutes which was fine, but both times the desk attendant came down to the desk she came down with another woman who did not work there which was kind of weird. When we arrived to our room the door was unlocked and open which weirded us out. Then we got inside the room... the toilet seat was broken, there were stains around the inside of the toilet bowl, the bathroom floor was dirty and looked like it hadn't been mopped, the inside of the bathtub was DISGUSTING and had hairs in it! The tv didn't work, there was a used rag In the fridge and stains running down the walls of our room. The A/C unit was cracked in three places and when we turned on our heater a burning smell came from it so we decided to be safe and turn it off. When I explained all of this to the desk attendant she said the most she would approve is $20 off. Extremely unsatisfactory, even in motel 6 standards. read more

A truly terrible experience. The hallway and lobby smelled bad and the room smelled much, much worse. The carpets are peeling from the floor and the bathtub was visibly stained. The shower hardly worked and it was difficult to get the water to reach my body because the flow was so low. They don't have even basic amenities. The sink was clogged. We are repeat customers, using this regularly as a stop on business trips, and we have ALWAYS had great lodging here. Nice, clean room, comfortable mattresses. Oh my!! this place does not deserve 1 star!!!!!! We attempted to stay at this Motel when the 5 fwy was shut down due to weather. Oooowee it was a nasty mess. We are currently going through a pandemic and this room looked like it had not been cleaned just remade the bed for the next guest. Part of the floor was missing in the bathroom, the ceiling was yellow with nasty stains, the carpet was nasty throughout the room, the sheets were yellow and nasty and lets not discuss the mattress that looked like people had been sleeping on it with no sheets. The headboard was so dusty it looked like it been snowing in the room instead of outside. We could not stay here and opted to sleep in our truck in the 28 degree weather. Management should be fined and shut down for the conditions of this Motel. Not sure what Motel these other reviews are for but they surely are not being honest about this Motel 6. YUCK!!!!!! While my husband and I were traveling, we decided to quickly book this hotel through Priceline. We weren't sure what to expect since you always hear horror stories about small motels. The motel is located next to a trucker stop but from outside the parking lot you can tell that this is a very nice and clean Motel 6. We walked in and were instantly greeted. The lobby was clean, organized and smelled clean. Their signs, chairs, luggage carts, etc. were all clean and in very good condition. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, had a small fridge and microwave. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We were extremely surprised at the carpet and how clean it was. The linens over the bed still smelled freshly laundered too! We were extremely satisfied.. if passing by, we plan on staying here again. read more

Let me begin with saying that I know Motel 6 is not a glamorous motel chain and I do not expect much from them. All I am looking for is a clean, safe room - this location did not meet those two requirements and thus earned a one star review. I stay at Motel 6 exclusively when I am travelling with my dogs. They do not charge a pet fee and typically do not have carpeted rooms. This hotel has carpeted rooms that STINK and were WET in spots - YIKES! (And no my dogs did not pee on the carpet - this evaluation was made BEFORE my mom brought the dogs in). Beyond the smell, the window did not have a screen in it and the AC unit was FULL of dust, dirt, and dead bugs. When my mom turned it on it spit all sorts of nasty debris in her face. We had to sleep with the window shut (oh - it didn't lock either) and the AC off because we didn't want dead or alive bugs being circulated all night... This location does not have grass for the dogs. Just some weird weed/sand stuff. I should also mention that we had a "pool view" room, which overlooked a half-empty pool and spa that was EXTREMELY green and was growing all sorts of things. The odor of that alone prevented us from leaving the window open and surely brought all sorts of bugs to the area. Yuck! I will never stop at this location in the future, and I advise you to stop elsewhere as well. There are plenty of other Motel 6 locations that are far superior and cost the same amount. read more

Reading Yelp reviews can be biased. I stay here A LOT so let me give an accurate review. Negative before Positive FREEWAY SIGN: you can't see it off the 5. Stupid. there is a lot of wind up here so maybe they lowered it, but you can't see it off the freeway. Take exit 205. POOL: forget about it. it has been toast for years. good news is no loud kids...gives the place a quiet feel all the time. i understand if you have kids, but no pool and not a lot of stuff to do for kids here. Pillows: they suck. when they wash them the stuffing gets all jumbled and bumpy inside. it is like a lottery trying to get a decent pillow. Towels: they are old and thin. you want your bathroom towel from home, bring your own! they do the job...i'm a guy and it's a towel, so no biggie to me, but i did notice this. TV: hit and miss on HDTV's...they still have the old school models like a lot of lower end motels but good selection of channels. ask for an HDTV, however reception in motels is limited...they are all like this meaning even with an HDTV, it's not like at home. HDTV's i have tried do not allow for USB viewing. you can do data and photos, but no movies. HDMI maybe...laptop to TV. Bottom line: you want to watch your movies in a digital age, bring your own devices. Internet: this is a huge con if you need high speed. they are working on this, but it is slow. period. even at 5 bars on my laptop. at times it feels like 1998 again and dial-up. do all downloads before you stay if you can! WiFi is free as well. almost all motel 6's charge $3 a night extra. speed is hit and miss, but slower than normal. if you need more speed, go to Denny's...they might be better? don't expect to lounge and watch Youtube vid's here all night...good way to realize we depend on internet too much. if you must have high speed for work, spend more money (over $100) and go to Holiday Inn nearby...but can't claim what speed they have. Check it first and if it isn't good, save $50 and drive 1/2 mile to this motel 6. Now the pro's. ROOM SIZE: these rooms are HUGE! this was a converted motel 6 from another motel and the rooms are more than twice the size of a typical motel 6. if you want a larger room, ask for the king size...they have a few. if they are full, and you get a few of the smaller rooms (typical motel 6 size elsewhere) ask for the discount. 90% of rooms are the giant size. good size work desk, small table, sturdy chairs. carpets are older but clean. no wood floors. if you don't dig carpets, wear your flip-flops. water pressure is strong for showers. SMOKING: they do have smoking rooms and it is separate from non-smoking. on the 3rd floor, you can smell smoke a little before you turn right to the non-smoking rooms...don't freak out, your room is smoke-free and you can't smell anything. FRIDGE/MICROWAVE: there is a small fridge in every room. this is really cool (in every way). ice machine is excellent.. also, irons, ironing board, tons of storage space. A/C blows cold and heater works well. they leave it on so on a hot day, room is nice and cool. you can adjust to any temp you like. you can also open window for fresh air (some rooms have screens, some do not). i like fresh air. if you love the window open. get a room opposite freeway (you can hear, but it bleeds out quickly for me). also, opposite large parking lot allows for no noise from people talking outside on rare occasion. PARKING LOT: it is HUGE...you can overnight and boondock easily. quiet, no drama, country setting before you go south into the concrete jungle called LA County. ACCOMMODATIONS: Denny's, Subway, Jack, liquor store, Flying J w/amazing pizza, auto repair, and mins away from a small town. AA meeting in town...stuff like that nearby. PRICE: the best price anywhere. with a discount it is $52. this trumps any inconvenience! bring your own pillow and towel and you are good. HUGE room, tv, microwave, fridge, quiet location, huge parking lot...just can't beat this price! STAFF: friendly and consistent. there is a low turnover for a motel. you see the same people. Overall, this is the best motel 6 around and rivals most motels. they are ready for the new remodel and if this means upgrading to HDTV's in all room, new towels and pillows, this place is 5 star. i don't really care about the pool. lastly, motel 6 does not offer shampoo, tooth paste items, so bring your own...minor issue. they do have a coffee bar in the morning. no food. with a little planning, you can make this place work well for you! Lovely price, good beds, enthusiastic in room A/C on a very balmy day, pet friendly (no charge for dogs!), and convenient place to rest for weary travelers on the way to LA on I-5. Cary at reception was a kindhearted dear soul, and even applied an extra discount code for me at check in. This all in stark contrast to the bait and switch of the Holiday Inn Lebec and its Priceline Express Deal, which was double the price and snotty. The hotel manager Lester A. tried to charge me a $30 pet fee, despite the Priceline Express Deal advertising the hotel as pet friendly and no mention of pet fees in the "Important Information" section. Lester blamed Priceline and Priceline customer service (in some offshore location) pointed the finger back at Lester. Never again, Priceline or Holiday Inn Lebec. Your smarmy, unaccountable business practices deserve to be spurned. read more

Wifi does not work, broken hair dryer, and toilet wouldn't stop running. The mattress was bent out and pillows smelled funky. Had 1 star experience at an 1 star motel. read more
