The art on the walls is Diana's own photography. The light breakfast served daily from 8-10 includes yogurt, fresh fruit, granola bars, juice, coffee, and milk. It was perfect if you don't need a big meal to start your day, but if you do, the cafe next door has breakfast options for sale. I highly recommend staying here if you're in the area and need a place to stay for a few nights.

It has had different franchises and is now a Days Inn which is new. The same building has hosted several franchises over the years. Dogs are allowed which is important to us. In addition the grounds are good for dog walking. The biggest problem for me was the absence of a coffeemaker. I was told they have coffee available 24 hours a day in the office. It isn't the same. The breakfast is minimal: no protein that I noticed, certainly no eggs or breakfast meat. Prices were up slightly but I realize the US is back into an inflationary cycle. The bed was comfortable. The plumbing fixtures all worked. There were plenty of outlets for electronics. The nearby Mexican restaurant and the Dennys are both closed which means driving five miles for anything other than a fast food burger. We will stay here again if traveling with a dog. Not sure if we don't have a dog with us. The absence of a coffee maker is probably a deal breaker.

It's literally in the middle of nowhere and at the wedding we attended, THREE cars ended up in a ditch (pre-wedding, so not as a result of drunkenness)... There are no paved roads leading to the venue. I'm from Kentucky originally so I've seen this before and was OK driving on these sorts of "roads"... but a lot of people aren't. * Bathrooms for guests are porta-potties. * Nearest hotel options are about a 20-minute drive away. * It's entirely outdoors. The indoor space is only for the bridal party to get ready and for the catering (which I believe you have to arrange yourself). Again, if that's what you're looking for - this can be very pretty. My friends had a fantastic wedding and the staff at the venue was remarkably friendly and did a great job. There was a small dance floor, an elevated area for dinner seating and an area for the bar. Coming from LA for the event, it is a commitment and a bit of a driving challenge, so know that going in.

Jim was there to meet us and show us our room. We got The Cowboy Room on the second floor (no live cowboys included! ) which we selected so that we could have separate beds. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There were no other guests, so we had the whole floor to ourselves. It was super quiet and peaceful. I imagine it would be different if there was a house full guests. Jim gave us suggestions on things we could do and places to visit. He also gave us the code for the door, the wifi password, and warnings about bears. We opted to walk around the area and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at The Perch restaurant just a few minutes walk down the road. Coffee was available at 8 the next morning, Adriana made breakfast ready by 830am. We had eggs in hash brown cups, sausages, maple scones, toast with a variety of spreads, and fresh orange juice. Everything was delicious. Sorry I didn't take pictures, I was too busy eating! I was able to eat everything on the table. I had mentioned our list of food allergies upon reserving online and also emailed the list closer to the date. The communication was excellent. I would love to stay at Old Bear B n B again. Address is 51541 Ralphs Ranch Rd, Lebec, CA 93243. Maybe it's N Peace Valley Road. But I'm pretty sure it was Ralphs Ranch Road. Sorry if I'm wrong. Our first time staying at this location. My review... Pros 1) lots of parking 2) the lady at the front desk was nice. Met 2 other stffs and they are nice too. 3) they provide coffee, at the front desk area, in the morning. 4) windows open. But no screens to keep the flying bugs out. 5) bed to sleep on. Comfy bed and pillows. 6) toilet to use and shower. 7) AC and heater works. 8) has working hairblow dryer, towels 2 small bar of soap. 9) a small little area to hang your clothes and put your suitcase. 10) I didn't see any weird people or scary people anywhere. Very quiet and clean around the area. Cons 1) first thing i saw when I opened our door to go into our room was a cockroach running across our floor. I stepped on it. 2) small burn holes in the bed sheet. Lots of them. 3) walls dirty. Food stains on it. 4) no coffee machine in room. 5) our sink was broken. You can't pull the drain thing up so the water can go down it. 6) no working smoke detector. I can see it open on the ceiling. 7) our shower was very hard to turn the shower knob to warm. It was either very cold or very hot. 8) you have to pay for ice. $0.25 for so much. Like a little bucket. Maybe 8 inches tall and 8 inches wide. Then you have to add more quarters if you want more ice. 9) our remote wasn't working. So went to the front desk for battery. Conclusion Nice place to crash and sleep. Only. Quiet. Gas station and Wendy's right next to it. But! Sink was broken. So we used the bathtub to wash our face and brush our teeth. Tub knob hard to get it to warm. It was either too hot or too cold. They provided this little sachet of shampoo. Really little. Not even enough to wash long hair. Coffee was water down to me. You see my negative review above. Besides that. If you're tired and just needed a place to crash and get up early to leave the next day. This would do it. I don't plan to come here again. But maybe your experience will be different from mine.

You can sit in the dining area. Nothing fancy here, but they did make the lobby inviting and upgraded. Parking lot is huge. Hotel building is a small rectangle shaped simple structure. Easily accessible to freeway/restaurants/shops/gas stations. Not bad at all for a quick overnight stay. We stayed in the regular Queen bedroom. Don't expect much spacing, but you can sit by the window in the room. Bathroom was ok too. Square shaped room was very simple, but this smaller floor plan didn't have a refrigerator or microwave either. Closet was tiny. At least there was a long mirror behind the closet door. Lighting was just enough, but I'm sure most people would want a couch inside if the room was much larger. Believe it or not, this old type hotel does have very good water pressure and hot water. Plumbing looks and sounds good. Nothing was sticky or dirty inside. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Linens and pillows were clean and decent. If you're a large size person, the room would feel narrow and small to you. Front desk staffs were helpful and friendly. This is one of those places good enough for a short overnight stay before heading back onto interstate highway 5 North or 5 South. Shopping at the outlets were very convenient driving distance down the street. Not the best nor the worst stay. It was quiet during nighttime. Convenient.
