I got there 20minutes before closing on a Saturday. There were 2 other customers in there so I got the bum rush. No helpful info on the bikes, especially specs. Told to "Come back tomorrow and you can test ride a bike" and the kid walked away. That kid cost them around $4k because I went to Mostly E-Bikes and they were the complete opposite. Let's be honest, if you're running a bike shop, 45 minutes before quitting time you don't necessarily want to see forlorn bikers looking for a quick fix of a flat tire. Drew (Service Manager) was up to the challenge though. He never hesitated as he pulled my little Citizen Miami folding bike into his work space to assess the damage(s). Sidewall was blown out of the rear tire - and given the identical age of the front one suggested replacing both tube and tire of both. Drew found he had the right size of each for replacement to do the job right. Since the shop is located a stone's throw from Communal/Bottlecraft, we headed over there for a beverage. Half an hour later we were back and on our way - and a clean $100 (parts and labor!) for "AAA Service" seemed more than fair! Hats off to Drew and his team. read more

What a disappointment for me, who thought I had found the ideal bike shop for me. I was in for a shock. The staff was very friendly and competent, I thought. But at the first problem, there is no one to help the customer, in this case me. I usually change my road bike tires in this shop, and I have a very specific model that I find ideal. But that day, July 22, the salesman showed me another model and assured me that it was the best at the moment. I let myself be convinced and paid the sum of 283.17 dollars for the two tires. After 415 miles, I suffered my first puncture, me who practically never gets punctures.I thought I was unlucky. But on my next training ride, I got another flat tire. The salesman told me my tire was ruined. Forced to exchange it, I paid another $112.53. And to top it all off, 15 days later, my front tire got a flat, and the salesman told me again that the tire needed to be replaced... $112.53 to pay again. Total for two tires mounted on my bike: 283.17 + 122.53 + 112.53 = 508.53 dollars. No sympathy from the shop aside from the $30 labor charge for the new tires. No empathy for me, the customer. On the contrary, the salespeople were very distant and unfriendly. They did everything they could to ignore me and look down on me. The MOSTLY BIKES team was mean. When it came to changing the front tire, the salesperson put me last on the list of repairs to be done. I'm disgusted by this attitude. This store could have acknowledged its fault, at least held their supplier accountable, and made a genuine gesture of goodwill. Today, this store has lost a loyal customer, and I do not recommend anyone to visit this shop... read more

My husband and I purchased an Electra townie today from George and I am so in love with it! I've wanted a townie for years and mostly e-bikes is the only one in the area that has them! George is super knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had. He showed us how to work everything really simply, gave us maintenance tips, installed some add ons like lights, a front pouch and even gifted us an emergency air kit for the tire. He was so patient with us! Excellent customer service and I got the exact bike that I wanted for a great price! We visited a few other shops in Oceanside & Carlsbad and mostly E-bikes in my opinion is the best one. They have high quality bikes at really fair prices and they are friendly, knowledgeable and most of all patient and kind and will actually help you. I needed a last minute e-bike on a spur of the moment and Mostly E-bikes came though like a champ. We were in and out within 5 minutes with very little hassle. We knew what we were going so it was a very quick check in and check out process. The prices were reasonable... the minimum rental was 2 hours, which worked out... would have preferred an hour option, but it ended up being perfect for our visit. While the service staff is nice, the ownership and sales people are rude. Once salesman told my wife that the bike SHE picked was cheap and not good for her and tried to sell her a $3,500-$4,500 bike when we came in for a simple tire repair. The same thing just happened to me; I came in for a simple tire repair, after I left the bike I did not hear anything for 2 days, when I called, I spoke with George and he told me he could not work on the bike at all unless I gave him permission to "make the bike safe". He did work I did not ask for, charged me $108 and then told me the bike had a controller problem and I should not put any more money in the bike but sell it and buy another (from them?). They are more interested in selling bikes for an outrageous price then doing the service work they are asked to do. read more

We came in to rent E-Bikes for the day..our younger daughter who is 8 1/2 but smaller wasn't fitting into the smallest bike. Was walking back from the beach and found that this bike shop had just opened. Seems they had just moved from their old location. Spent some time talking to George about my E Bike. Seems that they are Bosch certified and their bike tech Mike, hAs about 20 years experience. I took my European e bike to them and they had me out and riding in just a few hours. I do not recommend this business. My girlfriend rented an "ebike" from them and the "e" in ebike was non-existent. The motor was very weak and we had to reallly work to get up hills. Prior to renting my gf and I both called the place to ask what type of ebike they were renting to us and they wouldn't tell us so we didn't know that we were getting a crappy motor until it was too late.
