Subsequent years saw a few leaks every couple of months. I suppose I should have asked what type of poly tube they were using but figured for the price (over $3k), they'd be using something of quality. I was way wrong. I have had to engage Sprinkler Doctors for each leak (and it's not just one at a time, it's several at a time) after giving up doing it on my own. It just became a burden. Every instance of Sprinkler Doctors coming out to fix the leaks, the tech invariably asks, "who installed this?" and "this tubing is cheap." Most recently, I had a tech come out to address more leaks and he flat out told me that the tubing they used was garbage and the installers should have or would have known that. My entire system needs to be replaced because now, with each leak fixed, another leak pops up a little further down the line. So if you want to have fun repairing leaks a year after install, go with this company! If that doesn't sound like a grand time to you, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. TL/DR: irrigation tubing should last about 10-15 years after installation if it's buried. Mine hasn't even lasted eight. Leaks began occurring the year after installation.

At the beginning, they were very communicative and responsive, which gave me confidence in moving forward. However, once they received our money, their level of service noticeably changed. First, the project start was delayed by an extra week with no communication from their team. We had to reach out ourselves just to get an update. Second, midway through the project they contacted us about adding electricity to our built-in feature. Since the cost increase was minimal, we agreed. But when the project was completed, they told us they couldn't figure out the electrical component--and refused to refund the money we paid for that addition. Third, our front yard sprinkler valve has leaked three separate times over the past 14 months. Each time, it takes weeks to get someone out to repair it, which is incredibly frustrating. Fourth, I have left numerous voicemails, emails, and warranty requests asking to speak with a manager, and I have yet to receive any response. Lastly, during the first windstorm after installation, one of the lights was knocked over because it was not installed properly. The company refused to take responsibility for the improper installation. Overall, the lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through has been very disappointing. I would not recommend Straightline Landscaping based on our experience.

When it came to construction, they had a fantastic crew who really did great work. And if we weren't happy with something they would adjust it. The really wanted to ensure that we were thrilled with our landscape. They even fixed other work performed by the pool contractor because they knew it would be a problem and they wanted to do the right thing. Not many contractors do that. The finished product is phenomenal! We love being in our backyard and sharing it with our neighbors and friends. Also, they have a great warranty program and a dedicated warranty team to help. Since they do a lot of work for the home builders you don't have to worry if they will be around to help after the job is done. Highly recommend them for your larger landscape needs.

We had to correct multiple errors during the initial execution of the work, most notably the fact that they forgot to lay our entire irrigation setup before laying turf. If we didn't catch it and tell them to install it they would have totally forgotten about it and just moved on. They also didn't have the color of rocks we initially agreed on during our quote, so they just used whatever they had available and didn't use the agreed upon materials in our contract. When we asked if we had to do anything to maintain the turf, we were told we were there would be no issues and we were all set. A month later, there are burn marks from our windows ruining 1/3rd of the turf. This is exactly the type of thing we asked about and they said nothing. They claimed they told us on their way out, but I was overseeing this project the entire time (to catch their mistakes) and there was never any communication. They refused to replace the turf. They tried to just patch the area that was burned, and now we have two different colors of turf in our yard and it looks terrible. Last year, we agreed I would pay the workers for the day to come replace it at the beginning of winter, and I still haven't heard back from them and they ignore us. We're over two years from the initial start of the project and they have not followed through. I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere. For a little extra money, you can get better quality work with better customer service.

Quick but not a job well done. i had them lay pavers for me next to my pool with gaps in between…read morefor turf. We laid out the design and decided on 3 in gaps between the pavers. The team knocked it out in 1.5 days which is great. Now that it's time to lay down the turf I'm having to spend a lot of extra time cutting turf to make it fit. I have 2.5 inch gaps, 2.75 inch gaps and of course a few 3 inch gaps. I guess I should have went out there with a tape measure to make sure it was getting done correctly but you pay for a service and expect it to be done the way you agreed upon. If you do use them just make sure you inspect everything along the way if you need a precision job done.
