Their installers used a mounting cleat, which is not required or intended to support the hood, was attached to the wall by 3 short screws with plastic anchors directly into the tile/drywall, with no attachment to studs. The apron back is the main support and it was not attached to the wall. What was supposed to be done was the use of no less than 2 1/2 inch screws fastened into studs through the apron back. Please see the attached pictures for context. We just recently had it properly installed by another contractor.

A couple years ago we were looking to remodel our kitchen and asked several friends, who had recently done the same, for a recommendation. Sadly, each of them said "you don't wanna use my guy." How sad that no one liked their contractor after the job was done! Luckily, a friend finally recommended Frank, and we couldn't be happier. Our kitchen/dining remodel was a really big job--walls removed, ceiling and flooring replaced, top to bottom--and he did beautiful work. Frank is conscientious and thorough, and will treat your home like his own. He makes suggestions and sees little details we missed, is a hard worker, and doesn't keep adding to the price. And he's just a genuinely nice guy. Our house is quirky and kind of piece-meal, and there are literally weird things behind every wall. Whatever came up, he would just look at it and figure out how to fix it or make it better. Since then, he's pretty much remodeled our entire home, one room at a time. We're mid-bathroom right now. He can do just about everything, and we would trust him with anything.

Brian was incredibly informative and took the time to break things down for me. I asked him why they don't carry Traegers, and he kept it real, explaining the quality differences and why they stick to better brands like Rec Tec and others. What I love most is that this place is a true one-stop shop! from smokers and grills to rubs, sauces, butcher paper, wraps, you name it. Brian even hooked me up with some pork shoulder on the house, and I had him order me some Australian wagyu brisket to smoke next. The shop is legit. We remodeled our entire home in May and did most of the work ourselves. We picked out the tile for…read morethe floors and decided to splurge on the shower tile and got a mosaic Carrera marble. The catch was that I was going to install it to save some $$. After some time, we decided to get some quotes on the work instead. We got a couple quotes for the floor tile and it was pretty inexpensive but we wanted to make sure we had the right person. After talking to Brad, there was no doubt he was the right choice. I finally found someone who was just as meticulous as I am. He came out to give us a quote for the floor install as well as the shower and recommended floating the shower instead of taking the easy way and putting down cement board and slapping the tile on. We know we could have done it much cheaper with someone else, but that is not what we were looking for. I am glad we did, Brad was here every day bright and early and didn't leave until he was satisfied with what was done. He communicated every step of the process as well as the timeline. He stuck to his quote and timeline and we couldn't ask for more. The level of detail is insane, we picked a difficult material to work with but the cuts are spot on, the patterns roll into the corners, and the niches turned out exactly where we wanted them. The kitchen floor was no different, where most tile guys would make square cuts around the feet of the wine fridge, Brad cut perfect little circles around the feet so It was nice and tight. If there were any slight questions, he didn't hesitate to ask for my opinion and direction because he wanted to make sure we got the end result that we were looking for. Thanks again Brad, cant wait to take care of this floor soon, the shower makes it look bad!
