My husband loves to grill and I love to eat so it's a win-win! We've been looking for awhile now and finally purchased. Service was great! My husband received a tour of the store while going over different grills and accessories on the first visit. On the second visit, we purchased and my daughter and I got to play with their dog. First - I love a family owned and operated business. A great selection of the best smokers and grills and a few really nice Made in the USA smokers that everyone should be on board with. Pellet Grills Galore is hands-down the best place to buy a grill. I recently purchased a Yoder from them, and not only did they give me the best price of all local dealers, but they were also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative throughout the process. They were straightforward and happy to share their expertise without any upselling, which is always a big red flag for me with other stores. Delivery was the real test. I have 12 wide steps leading up to my house, and most delivery companies refuse to deal with that - especially with something as heavy as this Yoder, which weighs 420+ pounds. Normally, I'd have to hire extra labor at my own expense. But Eric and Ron went above and beyond, putting in the time and effort to safely get that beast up the steps. That alone showed me that they're willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy their customers, which gives me complete confidence that if I ever have an issue with my very expensive Yoder, they'll come through. Hard-working, conscientious people like this are the reason small businesses like theirs continue to thrive, despite pressure from big box stores and giant online retailers. I bought a GMG Daniel Boone at this location. It stopped working about a year later. I called the store and left at least 4 messages. Never got a call back. I spent more than $800 on a grill that worked 5 times. Cheaper to just go buy BBQ. Also, I called GMG and they don't answer either. Do yourself a solid, buy a Traeger from Costco. You'll get actual support for your purchase. And a working grill. Stay away from this junk. read more

Kind of a weird place. Great selection of seasonings and sauces, but they can lose the "Let's go Brandon" brand. A turnoff for 2/3 of us. Good selection of Green Mountain and Yoder grills. But the store was quite a mess and an obstacle course to get around. read more

Today I stopped in unsure of which smoker I wanted to buy. I had 3 in mind. All of which I could buy here. Ron was super informative and patient with me. I'm the guy that will ask 100 questions. I chose this place over other places that are closer to me because they are also a service center. Long overdue review. I visited PGG a few days before Thanksgiving to see if they had a ready-made brine for our first visit ever Turkey cooked in our pellet grill. The owner (I believe his name was Ron, forgive me if I'm wrong) was very helpful in recommending a brine for us. I also picked up a Meat Church Gospel BBQ dry rub as well. PGG shares their showroom whereby 1/2 the floor space is dedicated to pellet grill smokers/grills & accessories and the other 1/2 is for spa/jacuzzi sales, parts, & water treatment chemicals. The had smokers from Green Mountain Grills (GMG) on display, and their website indicates they also sell Weber smokers/grills. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and provided me with a few recipes we could try for Thanksgiving. The business was not very big. They take AMEX cards which is a plus. Just so you know, the ready-to-mix bottled brine we purchased (I can't remember the brand) turned out really good! As far as the Holy Gospel rub, we haven't used it yet... We'd highly recommend GMG for anyone looking to purchase a pellet grill, or purchase pellets, rubs, accessories, or service. read more

This is the best 1 stop BBQ/Smoke shop in all of SD county. Their assortment of rubs and sauces is the biggest ive seen, accessory items and smokers and grills are plentiful. Traeger!!! We happen to be driving by this place a couple weekends ago and saw that they sell Traeger wood pellets. Those are very hard to come by as you usually have to mail order them or go to Dixieline in La Mesa. Here they have every flavor wood for traeger's imaginable. Very excited. I am amazed at the 5-star ratings on them. Maybe they are different in person than over the internet but the service I have received is horrible. I did not get my order that I had placed online for at least 1 month. When it finally did arrive it was partially incorrect (wrong item sent). I called and the person who answered gave me a quick "just keep the wrong one and we will send the right one". Ok, time to pump the brakes on the negativity train here, 'cause Spa Parts Depot has obviously changed their game based on the service I received. I don't know shit about spas, spa-related products, or what the hell a lock-nut screw valve is, but from the moment I spoke to Scott H. over there, he walked me through every step of the process, sent me emails to the parts I needed, told me what I'd have to do to install them, and did all of this with an hour turn-around time. ...all 4 separate times when I ran into a new problem and didn't know how to fix it. I gutted half my ancient-ass Hot Tub, from a manufacturer that doesn't even exist any more, and Scott knew EXACTLY what I needed each time. And these parts, FROM this place, were like 9 or 10 bucks for most of the connectors! You cannot BELIEVE how cheap and easy Spa Parts Depot was able to help someone who is whatever the opposite of a handyman is. If they have more people there like Scott, and they keep their prices where they are, this place could literally have not done better than they did. Two huge thumbs up to this store. I was having some issues with a hot tub that came with the house, and these guys helped me out just by looking at pictures and listening to me. These guys are the real deal. Spa parts without having to go online to find. (And a web store for everyone who didn't live in San Diego). Honest and fair pricing. They had fantastic customer service and were able to supply what I needed for less than I had found on the Internet. In fact, the lady I spoke to it only helped me, but gave me her cell number so that I could send pictures of the parts I needed and then when I had to come back on a Saturday, Ron stayed around for an extra 15 minutes after closing to get the part I needed. We have a traeger BBQ and have been having issues with it blowing our GFI. I called traeger and they recommended to replace the Hot Rod to fix the problem. When I installed it, I wasn't aware that it's meant to be installed a 1/4 inch out. Well I called these guys back after the issues were still happening and they mentioned to make sure the Hot Rod is 1/4" out. Well I made the adjustments and problem solved. YES!! I bought a Traeger grill at the fair, big mistake. I should have bought it at this shop. When I had trouble with the grill they were the only shop in San Diego that was willing to work with me. They even offered to let me borrow a grill when mine wasn't working. I was very frustrated with the new grill not working and I took out my frustration on the kind folks working at Spa Parts. Despite my chewing them out for something that wasn't their fault they remained calm. Sorry guys. Ron is not much better than a used car salesman. Our GMG was less than a year old and the paint on the front was beginning to crack and rust. Ron had us wait 8 months so to bring it in so he could sand it and paint it (his request) he said we could get a free pizza oven if we waited. When we finally took it in. He had it for 6 months. We would call and stop in periodically. He eventually gave us a loaner grill,( which didn't work) and he always gave some excuse why our grill wasn't done. Finally we went in a few weeks ago and wanted it back he said it would be ready the next day. after 6 months he hadn't even touched it! He did a half assed paint job on it that night. Needless to say now that we have it back its still bubbled on the front of lid and looks like crap. By hey we got a pizza oven.... read more

Bought a new circuit board for my jacuzzi and realized when I got home that it didnt need one at all ( it was a breaker problem) When I went to return the $400 part, they told me I couldnt return it...brand new with the reciept! Bought a small part online. They called me later to ask me to give give my credit card info over the phone because "for some reason the website didn't capture it for shipping charges." The guy on the line checked out, so I gave him my info. The part doesn't ship for a week and a half later... when I paid for 1-3 days shipping. I called and customer service was very rude, said, "well you know it's not always a perfect world, this part was on back order." Well you should INFORM your paying customers. Waste of time and money. Could have gotten this part through any other deal in less than 3 days. Never will do business with Spa Parts Depot again. STAY AWAY. read more

I called Scott at Parts Depot Monday 10-8-12 looking for a new 2 speed pump that spa tech had diagnosed as a problem on my spa. Scott said it seemed odd that the pump was running fine on one speed and said it was not likely the pump and recommended a good spa guy, Mark Vuong (619-665-1008) to trouble-shoot the problem. Mark came out late Monday night and said it was a power supply problem from my house and the pump was fine. Mark also fixed the light switch, heater pressure sensor, and the heater/timer switch that was sticking, all for less than the earlier $500.00 estimate for a new pump that would not have solved the problem. Last night the spa was hot & running. I would recommend the honesty of both Spa Parts Depot and their service guy Mark Vuong to any spa owner. Edward A Davidson El Cajon California read more

Okay, this is the 3rd one star in a row so you can pretty much stop reading and go find someplace, ANYPLACE, else to buy your parts. When a site lists a customer service number the last thing you expect, when someone picks up the phone, is to encounter a rude, condescending Neanderthal who has no business speaking to the public. My concerns with my part were legitimate, my questions well thought out and articulated and still I was treated as an annoyance who was bothering this guy and wasting his time. After enough time was wasted I said forget it, issue me a call tag and take it back. He said "Fine" and was sending a pick up for the part. That was 2 weeks ago and still no call tag. There is no good reason, with all the sites out there, to risk having to deal with these people. read more
