5/5 restaurant to go to before a giants game ! So welcoming and attentive. The sushi and drinks were amazing. Which is saying something because I do not eat sushi often. The staff were phenomenal even offering to take photos for our table which I really admire in an establishment. Savoring the memories along with savoring amazing food! Would love to go again.

Came at opening on a Monday. Second party to be sat but the restaurant filled up quite quickly within an hour. Casual local eatery. - edamame - cooked well but topped with large flakey salt that was too overpowering - rolls - ordered 5 different rolls. Overall, the rolls were quite solid and a definitely satisfied the sushi craving. A lot of them can be quite foo foo though, with lots of sauce, toppings, etc, but that's all part of the fun. Wasn't planning to experience sashimi/nigiri during this visit. One thing I did notice was that the rice was a bit too wet/mushy. It was all clumped together on the roll so I couldn't experience each individual grain. Staff was friendly. Overall attentive but there appeared to be a call out so they were scrambling. Not their fault and they definitely did their best so kudos to them.

Came here on a Friday night to get sushi with a friend before going out! I had been here once before with friends, and it's safe to say that this is a good place to go if you're craving fresh, unique sushi and/or drinks! The servers were also great, providing us with recommendations and water as well as warning about the size of the Rainbow Spider roll we got (spoiler: it was quite large). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice and cozy! I like the various decor around the restaurant as well as in the bathroom! Definitely a unique pksce![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I got the Rainbow Spider and salmon avocado rolls ; in addition, we also each got a miso soup (8 oz). I also got the hibiscus ginger margarita and my friend got the chilled vodka martini. The rolls were absolutely delicious, and I love how the rainbow spider is a slightly bigger roll in size to fit the soft shell crab side! The fish was so so so fresh and tasty as well! The miso soup was definitely on the saltier side, but still good nonetheless! The drinks are also pretty strong, but have great taste as well! Overall, I will definitely continue to come back for my sushi fix!

Udon Noodle Soup and Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura

I had one of the lunch specials with udon noodle soup and shrimp and vegetable tempura. Both were very flavorful and the portions were perfect. For drinks I had a rhubarb fennel fizz which was refreshing. Our server Michael did a great job telling us about the menu items and in serving us.

I got the fire lizard roll and I thought it was really good. I thought that the spicy tuna was made really well and I thought that it paired really well with the fillings of the sushi roll. I also really like the Wakame salad on top, and I thought it was kind of nice to eat it with the sushi and also separately from the sushi. The service was quick and our server was attentive as well. Overall, I mean, very good standard sushi restaurant, would go again of course.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I went here with a group of around 10 people and we had plenty of space and a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the ambiance inside of Moshi Moshi![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were very attentive. I had a roll and a drink along with several appetizers, and really enjoyed my non alcoholic cocktail. Definitely recommend a visit.

Really good manhattan and when it's served by James. We had spider rainbow , unagi, spicy tuna rolls. Moshi Moshi SF is a really good spot! The spicy salmon maki was sooo good -- fresh and flavorful, easily the highlight of the night. The squash tempura was also delicious, light, and crispy without feeling heavy. I do wish the rolls overall were a bit better. We tried the Carmel roll with shrimp tempura, and it didn't really impress me compared to the other dishes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still, the atmosphere is fun, the service is solid, and there are definitely some gems on the menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A strong 4 stars from me, and I'd come back again for that spicy salmon and tempura!

Service was fast and good. Ambiance was good. Loved the hot chicken stock given for palate cleansing ! But the food itself was sub par. Not sure what the big fuss is about . Had the lunch special - tempura bowl had exactly 1 batter fried shrimp and few chunky batter fried vegetables. Bland rice . Couldn't finish . The teriyaki salmon was much better. Had to order additional sushi to fill up after lunch specials.

One of my go-to spots for Japanese food in SF!! Like this is where I eat dinner after I've had a bad day LOL They have REALLY good bacon-wrapped mochi!! I'd also always get one of their sushi "bombs" and some kind of tempura. The flavor combos are really unique compared to other Japanese spots in the bay. Plus I love the atmosphere here and our servers have always been really sweet!!

we spent our last meal of 2025 here! it was a rainy night but [[HIGHLIGHT]]moshi moshi was so cozy and welcoming inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the service was great! our server had fantastic recommendations and she really added to the vibe. we got the spider rainbow roll, miso soup, cucumber salad, shishito peppers, sake bomb sushi, salmon kama and a hand roll. everything was delicious! my one critique was that the timing of bringing out the food could have been better. the seemed to bring one thing out at a time. i do understand it was NYE, but it wasn't packed.

    sushi

When it comes to sushi in San Francisco, nobody does it quite like Moshi Moshi, where they serve both traditional favorites and cool modern creations. The fish is so fresh and the rice so fluffy, sticky, and perfect. They also have some great teriyaki bowls, tonkatsu, and udon! Moshi Moshi has some of the friendliest waiters. They are kind, patient, knowledgable of the menu, and willing to accommodate many special requests. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is great. It's a nice, quiet restaurant where people like to gather. Everything moves at a slow, relaxing pace. It's decorated nicely and the background music is quiet and calm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food here was okay but not too spectacular. Though they serve Japanese food, there feels like a lot of American influence and so I don't think it's very authentic. The karaage was probably the best dish as it was very crispy and went well with the sauce. The Alaska Nights roll was alright as the fish wasn't the freshest.

Do they have gluten free options?

Yes! And there is a GF filter on the NOM menu https://moshimoshi.nom.menu/

Some authentic Japanese restaurants do not accept tips. Does this one do so or not?

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor garden dining area?

    Yes! We love dogs!

Is it all you can eat sushi?

    Nope! Individually priced rolls.

    What time is happy hour?

As slow as their bartenders are, forget about happy hour. You'll be lucky if you get one drink. Good food, but terrible service. When I go there for a meal, it's worth bringing your own bottle and pay just pay the corkage fee.

Do they serve any vegetarian/ vegan sushi options?

    Yes, they do!

The escape room is Alice In Wonderland themed and includes three drinks as part of the experience. Arrived on time for our reservation but were held in a waiting room for about 30 min before we could start. Didn't seem like anyone else was doing the escape room but it was also the week of their biz anniversary so maybe they were just super busy. Phoenix led our escape room and was such a delight. Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
