Family owned and run establishment. It's obvious that most employees are long-term and love what they do. Atmosphere, is that of a pizza joint so you know what to expect. Had a supreme pizza, which was quite good. Only wish they use fresh mushrooms versus canned. The dough was crispy and quite tasty, and the toppings were plentiful without being overwhelming. Even with the downside on the mushrooms, we will be back read more

The pizza and salad were great. The ingredients were fresh and the staff were all very friendly

Delicious food, fantastic service and the warm bread they serve with dinner is sooooo good.

We love this place!! Apparently a lot of people do for the past 20 years! While you get a server, it was really a team effort. We had multiple servers help us - got chilled mugs, another cleared plates as she walked past, and they all helped each other. The pizza is fantastic. We'll definitely be back. read more

Tried this place a long while back and it was not the best...figured I would give it a other try and glad I did...the Sicilian was very good, it did not have the chlorine taste like some of the other local Pizza places have in the crust, Pizza was not doughy and had the perfect amount of toppings too...did not get a picture this time, ordered extra cheese and it was delicious ! They were prompt and efficient andade sure the lid was open so the cheese did not stick to top...we will be back... read more

THIS is the real deal!!!!!!!!! Delicious- check Hospitality- HUGE I rarely give 5 stars. I travel for work so I eat out a lot. And I was in the restaurant biz for 18 years so I'm picky and have expectations. I just knew this place was going to be amazing from all of the reviews that I read. what's disappointing is that when I put into Yelp where is the "best pizza near me" Yelp returned Hungry Howies, Domino's and Marco and not this place (do better Yelp). But when I just search for restaurants, this came up. Also this restaurant has LOADS of Best of awards... so BOO to Yelp! I switched from wanting pizza to something totally different just because of the reviews And I also wanted a variety so we ordered chicken francese with angel hair pasta, garlic cheese bread and a spinach roll and salad What I opened at my hotel was chicken Parmesan I couldn't go back to the restaurant, but I called just to let them know someone else might get their dinner wrong and the owner said she was going to bring me my meal to my hotel and she did!!! Now what I received still wasn't what I expected however it was delicious and I didn't really care because the service was so amazing. What I mean that it was not what I expected is that I got the chicken and it had a hint of lemon, but absolutely no sauce. Chicken should be a lemon sauce. Anyway, the food that I did eat was phenomenal. The chicken had a light, airy batter with slightly crisp edges and it did have a delicate lemon flavor. The portions are large, too. You can tell that this restaurant cares about its people and its food and isn't that what it's all about? I also found out that they donate their leftovers to a food pantry, so please support the local business. Not that they need any endorsement because they're doing well. The place was busy for a Wednesday at 7. All in all, just me not getting what I ordered. I cannot wait to come back to Crystal River and eat at this restaurant again. RUN, don't walk, to eat this food! Sidenote, do not look at the menu prices online despite pictures being recent some dishes are up to five dollars more than they are on the online menus It's just where we are today. Folks food is higher priced. Don't blame the restaurant. I just updated photos with new menu pricing. read more

A regular stop. Wide variety of entrees, and excellent pizza by the slice selection which they will customize for you. Very fair on their pricing also. Family ran with a very steady crew staff. Thumbs up! read more

Pizza not that great no flavor, no sauce. Service was okay they seemed a bit overwhelmed people at tables waiting a long time for food.

We always get their Veggie pizza and it is excellent! The Sicilian cheese pizza is really delicious too! Their pizza's are nice and large, just what you want in a NY pie! You can buy just a slice if you don't want a whole pizza. Staff are friendly. read more

Moschello's is a nice little hidden gem. We stopped in after a morning of floating with the manatees, and it definitely hit all the spots. We had a party of 10, and they accommodated us quickly and with ease. The pizza was good, the wings were solid, and the staff was very friendly. We noticed a steady flow of locals coming through--guests of all ages--which says a lot about the place. It had a warm, welcoming vibe and clearly has a loyal following. The cash discount was a nice bonus too. Overall, a great experience and the perfect end to a fun day! read more

Great food, excellent service! The staff know what you typically get and have it started when you get there

Moschello's still remains our favorite pizza restaurant in Citrus County for several reasons. First, the customer service is excellent. Wait staff is courteous, friendly, fast and efficient. You know a place is good by how many tables are filled and how many to go orders are leaving the restaurant. Also if you see a higher number of older clientele that are so happy to see the friendly face of a known waitress that they wave them over for a hello. This is what you will find at Moschello's. Second, the food is just delicious. We've been numerous times and their food never disappoints. This dining experience we went out for a date night so we thought we would try something on their menu that we never ordered before. We started with their fried mushroom appetizer. After a short wait our waitress brought out a basket of fifteen breaded mushrooms with a side of ranch dressing. They were piping hot so we waited a few minutes to cool down. The breading was very good - not thick, cooked all the way through so it wasn't gummy on the inside. The mushroom itself was cooked perfectly- still had a little bite and not mushy at all. We definitely will order these little morsels again. For our entrees I ordered their Shrimp Scampi and my husband ordered their Chicken A La Moschello's. Both plates came with a side salad with our choice of dressing. A nice sized bowl of fresh lettuce, chopped tomatoes and thinly sliced onions and a small container of dressing. I ordered their Italian vinaigrette which is delicious enough to drink! My Shrimp Scampi was a nice sized bowl filled with Linguine pasta and 6 big, beautiful shrimp in a butter lemon sauce. Pretty as a picture and just as good to eat. The Linguine noodles were cooked al dente and the sauce was great as well. Since I know that Moschello's caters to an older clientele I know they go a little light on the salt shaker so I added extra salt to my particular taste along with the grated parmesan cheese. The shrimp were nicely prepared juicy, big and had a great flavor. My husband's dish Chicken A La Moschello's was two thin chicken cutlets stuffed with Prosciutto and Provolone cheese in a garlic wine sauce served over a bed of al dente Penne macaroni ( shaped like quills). He gave me a taste of his food and it was scrumptious. The sauce was outstanding flavored with the juices of the prosciutto mixed in with the garlic wine sauce. If I could get this entree with a Linguine noodle I definitely would order this next time for our date night. We each had a hot dinner roll along with our meal. Another great dining experience here at Moschello's - scrumptious food and great service at reasonable prices. Cannot wait for next time! read more

I stopped by myself for a quick bite because I was out, starving, and couldn't do fast food. So, I'd passed this place a couple of times and had read good reviews about the pizza and figured I'd check it out - hoping they would have a quick lunch. Well...I had no idea! First, It is a very warm space for being a fairly large space. I didn't expect it to be like that, I thought it would be more of a walk-in quick pizza place and it is a full-on restaurant. Then, I seated myself and I was waited on within 30 seconds! My server was so sweet and helped my make a decision about all of the various lunch specials they have - meatball sandwich, Italian beef, etc. along with pizzas, all kinds of pastas and salads and even pizza slices with any typing you want! I chose the meatball sandwich - as you can see in my pic! WOW! Simply wow. I was first amazed when it came out in about 4 minutes. Truly the fastest lunch ever! Faster than any fast food place I've been to lately that is never as fast anymore...unless it's already stacked up in paper and this was anything but! It was huge, crunch bread but soft on the inside, great amount of cheese, the perfect sauce - not skimpy at all - and the meatballs were so fresh, flavorful, and not dense! A true Italian meatball! Yay! Did I mention that all of this was only $6.50!!! A new place in my new town!! I will definitely return - probably bring my husband back this weekend! I can't wait to get it again and now it's 9am and my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! LOVED IT!! When I checked out at the counter, the woman was so kind and talked to me about living there and other restaurants to try and places to go! I have a whole list and I'm just so darn happy I followed my instincts and stopped in. Thanks, Moschello's! read more

Food was from a grocer's freezer. Horrible when our dog smelled it then walked away from it. Very disappointed, not worth the one star given. Extremely poor food at this Homosassa location, especially when the cooks don't know what to prepare or knows what the difference is between chicken and what was supposed to be veal. Eggplant didn't make it to the plates that were supposed to have it included. Do not waste time and money here, you'll be sorry to say the least. Let alone disappointed.
