My husband and I decided to try Luigi's for their Easter Buffet. Located in the strip mall called Homosassa Square Shopping Center on South Suncoast Blvd. I called ahead and made reservations for us and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant was decorated so nice and festive for Easter with a huge wall mural and seat covers for all the chairs. We couldn't help but smile! The restaurant filled up fast after we were seated and I can see why. The staff from hostess to all the servers were warm and friendly. They took care of our all of needs with a smile and attentiveness that was refreshing. Their buffet was VERY good starting with a small but filled salad bar table including a delicious homemade potato salad - one of the better tasting ones that I've had in awhile. It also had pudding included. I didn't try it because I seen on the hot table a dessert that I wanted. The hot food buffet had four different meats, roast lamb with mint jelly on the side, roast turkey with a cranberry sauce on the side, ham and roast pork. The vegetables on the steam table were homemade mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and a split pea soup. I tried the ham, the turkey with cranberry sauce and for the first time ever roast lamb with mint jelly as my meats. They were all delicious and I was surprised that I liked the lamb with mint jelly because I was always a little leary to try lamb because I heard it could have a gamey taste. Their lamb didn't not taste gamey at all - well seasoned and roasted perfectly. I did enjoy it plain and with the jelly. The turkey was moist and delicious. I dipped it in their brown gravy - again very, very good. Even their split pea soup was to my liking. I enjoyed everything including a small salad and their spiced cake with whipped cream topped off my meal! Even their ice tea was extremely good. I couldn't find fault with anything. We will definitely be back to try their buffet again on a normal day. read more

If you are looking for something in the area that is quick and inexpensive and not fast food, this is your place..not a fan of buffets at all, I do not eat a whole lot so it is not my thing ...had to meet someone here and rather than order off the menu I had the buffet for 10.00. They have a salad bar area, pizza area and offered Ribs, Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese and a selection of Veggies and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. I had a piece of Chicken ,some Green Beans and a scoop of Potatoes. Everything was hot and fresh. The staff is very friendly here as well...it was perfect for a quick bite... read more

Our waitress was very rude - no smile and we were totally bothering her. We both got the buffet Chicken was mostly breading. Everything else was not good either. The buffet was not kept refilled. Salad bar was mediocre. It had only ranch dressing but you could ask your waitress for something different. Bothered her yet again, how dare I? Pizza bar had 2 pieces of cheese pizza on it and never was refilled while we were there. Quite the pizza bar, right? No return trip everrrrrrrrrrr Honestly doesn't deserve 1 star. read more

This restaurant almost killed my mother! Luckily my grandmother took 2 bites and stopped eating so she didn't get as sick but my mom ate almost all her pepperoni stromboli and was sooo sick. Do not go here if you want to live! Almost took her to the ER. The waiter suggested water in the lemon because the "water tastes bad." How is this place allowed to stay open?! read more

We either eat at Luigi's or carry out from there once a week. Their homemade salad dressings are amazing especially the blue cheese. Their meatballs are big and homemade and the meat sauce is amazing. The chicken Parm is very good. My husband loves the pizza. And the garlic bread they serve with your salads is very garlicky and soft and light on the inside. Yum. read more

Senior Menu, order ziti w/sauce. I couldn't eat it, it tasted like tomato sauce right out of a can. Just terrible if that is what a senior menu is you would be better to take it of the menu! read more

Service was great and people super friendly. We stopped at an odd time apparently. 11:15 am on a Saturday. Breakfast ends at 11:30, which is also when they start serving lunch and making pizzas. So we waited until 11:30. Pet peeve of mine is when a menu doesn't describe less then obvious dishes. Take for example "Luigi's pizza special Combo". No description or picture. We ordered it anyway not knowing what was going to appear on our table. It was what most places call a supreme or deluxe. It was good. The dough is super light and crispy. It was a little too thin to support the generous amount of toppings, but tasted really good. read more

Luigi's Pizza - Luigi's Pizza Special Combo - Pizza Near Me - Homosassa, Florida

Stopped in this morning to try their breakfast buffet. For $12.99, you cannot beat it!!! It was always filled! There were scrambled eggs, an egg casserole, fried potatoes, French toast, bacon, sausage, grits, and sausage gravy and biscuits! All of it was fresh and SO good! Service, as usual, was top-notch! read more

Do not waste your money or time! The service was terrible. And the food was worse. How can you mess up pizza? Well, let me explain. The pizza sauce tasted like ketchup. They put so much on the pizza that the toppings fall right off. The crust has to be premade. If I had known...I would have bought a frozen pizza from Publix. read more

Ate breakfast here today. I enjoyed the sausage gravy, biscuit, bacon and egg breakfast while my wife commented positively about the pancakes and hash. I do wish we came later, though, because the buffet lunch, which is VERY reasonable priced has some of the best fried chicken and fish ever! Lots of locals is the hint that the place is well established. Give it a try when in the area! read more

My friends from. TARPON. came up. I ordered meatballs. He ordered clamy spaghetti . We both got sick. Under impressed. Never again. Cheap products read more

Best fish sandwich I ever had! My wife's fried chicken was excellent too. Just a little mom'n'pop shop in a strip mall, but not to be missed. Note that they have daily specials and breakfast and lunch buffets. read more

So my parents brought me here I do t know why my dad likes this place the food is disgustingly gross I am a chef from San Diego and can say keep on driving. My parents took us there for lunch made do the buffet and I had a 2 year old a 4 year and they still charged us full price for both of them. I basically got a plate of food from the buffet took a bite and that was it you guys should calm down in the salt! I'm surprised they haven't killed someone I am scared to go in there walkin read more

Great place to enjoy consistent good service and good food. From families to working folk looking for taste & value you can't beat Luigi's! So much more than pizza- lunch buffet- weekend breakfast buffet and a full menu complete with all of your favorite meals. A staple for us! read more

This is the hidden gem, the food is really good, so is the service, the atmosphere is so, so but the prices are fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place its not just pizza, they have a complete full menu Go, and be surprised read more

I absolutely love their salad bar. It's so delicious and fun and such a great low price. Oh my Lord, the desserts here are so delicious. You'll want more than one, although those are large enough to cut into two or three pieces. And the pizza delicious it is a absolute must try. read more

Went for the first time. Smelled wonderful when we walked in. We ordered drinks and a pizza ignoring the Newsmax program on the TV. Once our order was placed, the chef started loudly adding his commentary on the politics being reported and complaining about immigrants all while wearing his MAGA hat. This soured our experience and ruined our appetite. We do not enjoy our pizza prepared and served with hate, so we promptly cancelled our order and went elsewhere . read more

I would give zero stars if I could. We came in when it was not busy. They yelled we can sit where ever and then took forever for us to get any service. We had to ask for plates for the appetizer. It took over 40 minutes to get the food. Employees yelling at each other the entire time. A larger group walked in and employees started to yell oh great they are coming in here. I'm surprised this place is open with how openly they do not want business. For over an hour we heard Hailey and Crystal yell at each other or being yelled for. There wasn't enough sauce to cover the noodles and we watched several people come in for orders they called in and wait more than an hour for them to be done. We will not be returning. read more

Last night we ordered the half pound burgers . They were on the spot. Have to say the best burgers we've had in years as well as Weber anywhere! Kuddos to the cook and staff! Surprise it was a Togo order! Never disappointed with Luigi's in homosassa. 10 stars read more

This place is the worst for talking about there customers to other customers, The owner's son especially ! They talk about how much someone eats to anything they hear about that person! I personally have heard this myself and I am not going to support people who act that way! The place isn't that clean and food is mediocre! read more

Someone recommended this restaurant Has specials every night They serve bread before meal, it is the most delicious thing! Pizza bread with garlic It was super hot We had the most delicious dinner The staff was friendly and courteous. I would really recommend this restaurant read more

If you are considering Luigi's for a prime rib FORGETABOUTIT! Had THE WORST prime rib dinner ever!!!! I sent the first one back and asked for one that was medium rare. The cook obviously had not even had the roast in the oven more than 30 minutes! There was no flavor or crust and the cut of roast had to have been the cheapest one. The meat was raw, with no flavor at all and was served in a plate that already had watery au jus that splashed over the plate. When I tried to cut it, the meat was so raw that it wouldn't cut. Don't try Luigi's until they get a cook that knows how to roast a prime rib! read more

As the name implies they do Italian food well. The calzones are amazing with homemade marinara sauce. The ziti is very good also. Surprisingly the pizza was not that good, we took it home but did not finish it which is very rare. The pizza sauce was strange and way too much cheese on the pizza. I know that sounds strange but too much cheese is not good. But they really do well on most everything else.....The buffet is so-so. read more

We stopped in for lunch thinking they had the buffet, however it was a Saturday and no buffet. We ordered the broiled all you can eat shrimp and the rack of ribs. Both excellent and the all you can eat shrimp was plenty in the first order. What I really want to talk about is the exceptional waitress, I did not get her name, but she was the best waitress I have seen in years. She was kind, efficient, kind of silly with her customers, she is truly a lost art in today's world. Her customer service skills were beyond exceptional. He kept an eye on every table to make sure her customers were happy. If you want good food and good service Luigi's is the place to go. I just hope this young blonde lady is working the day you go in because you will walk out with a huge smile on your face. read more

Lunch buffet was terrible and over-priced. Maybe try a menu item but buffet was so bad I wouldn't bet on it.

Good service! Excellent food! My husband had the burger he said it was in his top 3 best burgers of his life. I had the broiled grouper it was very good. We will definitely go back. read more

The food was subpar. But the cost for everything was ridiculous. $60 dollars which after tip was about 75 for it. For a senior meal, mozzarella sticks, 12.99 pasta meal that included a small salad drowning in dressing and breadsticks, a cheeseburger and 4 drinks. And then when we asked for an itemized bill because we were highly confused why we were paying for a high dollar meal for a disgusting restaurant. The waitress got an attitude and basically shoved the ticket in our hand. The restaurant is dated and we were packed in a tiny booth. The bathrooms were disgusting as well. We will not be returning there. read more

We are not going to order anything from this place anymore!! A few months ago I found this place near where I live and ordered the Luiggis Special pizza and to my surprise we loved it. We are lovers of thin crust and also a lot of sausage, pepperoni and a good portion of vegetables including the mushroom which are fresh and not from cans and The cheese was real!!! There are many places that don't add real cheese. Anyway, we loved it and since then we started ordering only pizza from this place but a month ago we noticed that it had less meat and vegetables but just as good. My son came to visit and I told him about this pizza and very excited we ordered 2 pizzas. A total disappointment! The pepperonis could barely count on vegetables and worst of all, they are no longer adding real cheese. It didn't taste good and completely plain. It's very sad because for me the pizza was the most decent thing that could be consumed in this place, because we went one day curious about the buffet and it made us nauseous. Poor cleanliness, employees taking food from the buffet and licking their fingers and continuing to serve. And the reason that even seeing this situation we continue to order the pizza is because we reheat the pizza in the oven so that it is crispier. But definitely we are not going to order anything else from this restaurant. read more

Wow this place is amazing! Leave it to the Italians around the world to have the best food. I had the vegi lasagna and Mom had the seafood platter (the fried fish was some of the best I've ever had and I grew up in Florida). Wow they were both amazing! The service was good and the prices were cheaaap. Not sure why it's not higher rated but this place is excellent (also fresh baked bread whaaaaaaa!? read more

Took my family to breakfast and what great surprise. Excellent breakfast buffet and service. Definitely coming back!

Place is filthy, food was bulk. Looked and tasted like crap. Pizza was pure grease, they should fire the cook and start over. Everything in there is old, including the plates and silverware. GOT the stomach (you know) when I got home. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! The Health Department needs to shut this place down. read more

Lunch buffet was awful!! They do not keep a lot of anything so while they say they have fish, chicken and ribs... the selection is sparse or cold! I hear people ask for something that is supposed to be on the buffet and they say it's out and waiting on a delivery. It's inexpensive! $10.90 for buffet and tea. read more

My wife and I have always liked Luigis food. We go there two or three times a month for take out and normally don't have any issues except for tonight. We ordered a baked ziti with side salad and a Luigis's salad with Italian dressing. The ziti also comes with garlic bread. The issues are the garlic bread was stale! Never had that happen before. The side salad wasn't included. The Italian dressing was put in a container that wasn't sealed and spilled over everything. Also it was requested that no onions in the salad but was told that they don't put onions in salad so that meant she didn't tell someone No Onions! Guess what? Onions in the salad. Maybe it was due to all of the new people. Going to give them another try! But..... read more

Friendly staff , family run restaurant. Most meals are made from scratch, only two dishes , might be partly made with frozen ingredient. They have a buffet lunch (11:00 till 2:00) weekdays. Breakfast buffet weekends. We go there quite often . They have specials nightly and three nights with all you can eat dishes . Prices have gone up because of food prices. They were always very reasonable ,but what else can they do. We have been very pleased every time we visit. . read more
