Terrible experience with these people. First of all they were 2.5 hours late from when they told me they would be there. Because of this, we missed an important meeting with the facility we were moving to. Called several times to see where they were and it appeared they were screening calls. Had to leave a message then they would call back a few minutes later. Very lame apology for being so late, then we asked to negotiate rate due to being late and causing us to miss appointment, said no. Wouldn't even discuss it. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The office just has a I don't care attitude. Only choose them because other choices were booked for the day we needed them. Very good people. We moved here a year ago and North American Moving could not get my large safe to the basement. Called Moscardelli's and they got it down no problem. Yesterday my son and wife were here from Texas. I gave him my small gun safe for Christmas. Called Moscardelli's the day before Christmas left a message and asked if they could get the safe out of the basement and into my boys truck. They called back Christmas night and said they would be at our home the day after Christmas between 1:00 and 3:00. The Holiday Weekend. Amazing service! Very fair pricing. They could have given a higher price on the holiday weekend, they did not. They offered a very reasonable price. read more

Hassled me that I couldn't pay in cash. Then showed up TWO HOURS late. We didn't even know if they would show up at all since nobody would answer our calls. And nobody called us to say they'd be late. When they finally did show up we had almost everything in a truck we rented. So I told them to leave. Not paying for nothing. They circled the block and came back for some reason. So my wife yelled at them and they yelled back at her. 0 out of 5 stars. They should get new jobs at McDonald's. read more

I give this company negative ten stars! Unfortunately, Yelp won't let me post a review without checking at least one star. When you read the negative reviews, BELIEVE THEM!!! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. If you are looking for professional movers, DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY!! They are not professionals. Their movers do not receive any training nor do they do background checks. I hired them to move my furniture and appliances into storage as I was not able to get into a house yet. They sent three guys, one of which is somehow related to the owner. Since it was a hot day, I let them know that my daughter was stopping on her way over to get drinks for them. One of the guys informed me that I should also have her pick up snacks. (We had already planned to feed them lunch but extremely unprofessional telling us to buy snacks for them.) As they started loading the truck, they did not wrap anything, even after I asked them to take extra caution as most of my furniture was less than two years old and I do not buy cheap stuff. I had to tell them at least twice how to get something to fit through a doorway after the "relative" insisted that it wouldn't fit. If you're a professional mover, how do you not know which way to turn something? I didn't build the house around it! They pushed and shoved stuff through doorways, banging up not only the furniture, but also taking gouges out of furniture, doorframes, and the linoleum. They scratched multiple items, dented my brand new (less than 6 most old) dryer, scratched my heirloom quality Amish made dining set, and took chips out of many other wood furniture items. They laid my antique oak desk on the bare concrete and slid it, scraping the side of it, and did the same with my two year old metal bed frame. They refused to bag the mattresses and box springs (also less than two years old) before placing them in the truck so upon removing them from storage, I found that they were ripped and filthy. They broke a piece of wood off my television stand and also broke the back wheel cover off my elliptical machine. The "relative" threw an absolute temper tantrum in my hallway because I had my dogs leashes hanging there. They could have gone out the back door which was right there, but chose to go down the hallway to the front door. He actually grabbed them and threw them down the stairway while cussing and ranting about how much he "just loves" his job. Let's not even talk about the way he drives! They stuffed things into the storage unit with no protection, placing items like chairs on top of tables and dressers with nothing to protect them. It literally looked like they threw stuff in. When I contacted the owner, he agreed to meet me at the storage unit so I could show him what I was able to see at that point. He was extremely condescending, misogynistic and actually scoffed at me. He constantly interrupted me, implied I was a liar, tried to blame me for the damage, then walked out before I could finish. I waited a day or two for my temper to cool down, then called to speak to him and ask what his plan was for compensating me for the damage done. He still refused to acknowledge that his crew did anything, called me a liar, and hung up on me. I called back, asked him politely to please not hang up on me as I was trying to have an adult conversation with him, and he hung up on me again. I called two more times and he hung up on me each time. The fifth time I called, he refused to answer so I left a message politely asking him to call me to discuss the matter. He has never returned the call. I also sent a certified letter which he has never responded to. On top of all this, I found out afterwards what an unethical person he is. I'm told that this is not the original owner of Moscardelli Moving and Storage, which used to be a reputable company. He purchased the company from the original owner and asked that he be able to keep the family name. When he was told no, he sued them. The judge told him he had to change it, but he went to court and had his name legally changed to Moscardelli just so he could keep the name on the business. Not illegal but certainly unethical. Had I known all of this ahead of time, I would never have used this company and will certainly never use them again! Afterward, when I started asking if others had this kind of experience, I received many messages from others who had similar experiences. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you are willing to play roulette with your belongings!! read more

I don't know what we would have done without Moscarelli Moving. We were under a very tight schedule relocating. We only had about 2 weeks to get our move organized and planned. Every other moving company was booked out until October, at least. It was mid-August, the high-holy days of moving. We were making a short move--25 miles away--and we were needing to get out of a town that had, unfortunately, become unsafe for us. This moving company understood our situation and made room for us. We had to get things organized quickly, but it worked out. All of the staff were really great to us and understanding that we needed to get out of a town that was no longer safe for us. And they got us MOVED! Jim, the owner came over himself to assess our move; Linda in the office is a great person with whom to work; and thank you to Dakota, Jay and Seth (and any others) who even came back 2 days later to make an additional trip for us. I think one replaceable, plastic item was broken. Big deal. It's called, "moving," for a reason. None of our furniture or nice things were in any way damaged. These people worked hard; did great work; and I would recommend them to you. And if we need any help moving any large items around now that we are here, we can hire them to come over and work for a day or a morning....they are very flexible and understanding that you are doing something that is very difficult; maybe it's the most difficult thing you've done. And they could not have been nicer or more professional to us. read more

Worst possible experience ever. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER use this service. They were 3 hours late. Impossible to coordinate and get arrival time established. Sitting and waiting, without call backs from them. Upon arrival, price was substantially more than what was quoted on the phone (50% higher than quoted). DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY. They were a complete no show. So I had to call the company probably 5 times and got a voicemail every time. After I threatened them with legal action via voicemail, they showed up - HOURS LATE WITH NO NOTICE. At that point, we had already had to make emergency calls for help to stay on schedule so that the movers on the OTHER end of the three hour drive to where we were going would be there. We hired had moscardelli to move our furniture only no boxes. We were left with broken table, scratches on furniture and leather furniture. Called to talk to owner. Reported over phone the above. She has never returned our call. They have since cashed our check and still no call. Charged for a 45 minute break (called the office asking if they were lost) paid for 3 movers and only had 2 (one told us he hurt his back so we supervised). Movers were very nice and polite. They broke the back to feet off my couch and later realized they ripped my linoleum in my place I am renting. They didn't pack very efficiently and as a result we had to move many things ourselves. One guy stayed on the truck while the other moved stuff. Waste of time and money. read more

The truck pulled up and I was greeted with immediate attitude from the driver. He then proceeded to give me more attitude as he viewed all my boxes. Please note that when I called to schedule my move, I answered all the questions asked of me, one of which was clarifying that I was moving out of the house. The driver stated my list provided only stayed furniture. I let him know I did not make the list and suggested he call his boss. He came back stating, "we will fit what we can." Needless to say, they did a horrible job of packing up the truck and we ended up needing to move 3 trailers of additional items after they left. Additionally, the overall attitude from the diver was horrendous. At one point the driver told me that he "didn't know if one of my cabinets would travel well." I asked him if he had packing items to help move it and he got a heavier attitude from me, then told me "don't yell at me-you're giving me an attitude." Please keep in mind I was not yelling at him, but rather inquiring about how they would ship and haul my antique cabinet. Extremely dissatisfied with my entire experience with this company and will spread the word to everyone I know to not use their services. read more

I got a quote to move an upright piano as a three person job likely taking an hour and a half at $300. Started the day off with company calling me because they couldn't find address. They wrote it down incorrectly. They were supposed to start at 8am.. didn't start until 830 almost (you'll learn later why I'm even including this because otherwise, who cares about 30 minutes).. 3 men loaded my upright piano and moved it to destination within an hour. I had three nice guys arrive at my home and check out where piano was going. About 5 minutes later, a guy said that the dolly broke but that they were pausing my time so that I wouldn't be charged while the boss came and brought a new dolly. About an hour passed, the boss came and helped guys get piano into my house. The first thing boss says to me is "this is definitely more than a three person job.. you should be charged for 4 people".. I didn't say anything. He started doing my paperwork on my porch. I heard one of the workers say "I wasn't going to charge for the time we were sitting in the truck." He hands me the paperwork. $497. He stated that it was because it was more than a 3 person job and "we're not even charging for the 30 minute drive back".. so he charged me from 8am-1030am. This is why the 30 minute lateness matters. I was charged for 30 minutes that the guys weren't even at the first location. Then there was the hour that the guys were sitting in the truck waiting for a dolly. I was specifically told that I would not be charged for this time. Lastly, three guys got the piano to my house. That pretty much makes it a three person job right? You can't just look at a piano and say it needs to be charged higher if three people were able to transport it to my house right? I paid the money because I wasn't going to make a stink in front of the really nice, hardworking guys that moved my piano for me. I did, however, call and leave the company a voicemail that day. I would not use this mover. They were moving my furniture to a storage unit. I didn't discover until 10 months later when I wanted move the furniture out of storage that they did not deliver the glass shelves to a large curio cabinet. I called talked to Linda who said she'd lol in warehouse and call me back. No call back so I went to see her in person and she said she'd been sick. She took my phone number again and said she'd call me the next day. No call again. Oh, and her crew asked for a tip. If I'd read all these reviews I would not have chosen them!!! read more

I would NEVER use this company again. We used them for a short move (HALF OF A MILE) in May. They were reasonably priced so we went with them. The movers arrived 30 minutes late. The two movers( one of which was the owner's son) did nothing but complain the entire time. They didn't use any moving blankets which caused damage to several of our items. When moving furniture, they damaged both where we were moving from and our new home! The owner, Jim, came out to look at the damaged items and our home. He slapped some putty on the holes they put in our walls and said they would try to repair the damage to our stove top (unpadded dolly gouged the enamel) . He said if they couldn't repair the stove, they would replace the top. His son came back with a paint stick (for cars) that was completely the wrong color. After this I've called many times and no one bothers to call back and Jim is always "busy". Here we are, 4 months since the day of our move and they haven't done anything to fix the problem. Don't use them unless you want your things broken and never repaired! read more

We hired them based on my DIL's glowing recommendation. We had an old Victorian home with a basement full of boxes. Four bedrooms worth of stuff. One tightly packed truck. Less then seven hours later, we were done. They were efficient, polite, and just amazing. One guy carried our deep freezer up out of the basement, up old stairs with a sharp turn, without damage. They coaxed a large desk through a small doorway with no damage. They had good tools, but mainly they were strong and had an amazing sense of space and they just kept moving at a steady pace. read more

DO NOT USE. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have them used in the past as has several family members and always had great service but not anymore. The movers were suppose to be here at 8am and I had to call several times until they finally called me at 8:30 and said they had to find a driver as someone called in sick but they were on their way now. Showed up at 9am with small truck & tell me that they will need to make 2 trips (now doubling my cost) as I have too much stuff. I told the woman what I had to move when I set up the appointment and she only wrote 1/2 of it down apparently. The truck they sent didn't have enough space to move someone in a studio yet a 3 bedroom house. I told them I wasn't paying for them to do 2 trips just because they brought a small truck. They called office & woman in office told them that if I didn't want to pay for 2 trips then I should just cancel them....which I did. read more

We use professional movers a lot (5 times in the last 8 years) and they were by far the worst we've ever used. Usually, you get at least one experienced mover on each crew -- it was obvious that our entire crew was inexperienced. But the major problem was their lack of proper equipment. Even though they didn't pad most of our furniture (as other movers have), they ran out of moving pads halfway through the job. They tried to move our grand piano with only 3 people (it's usually a 4-person job) and they didn't have a ramp to move it down the steps, so they bounced it down and damaged it against the door frame. And even though they ended up moving less than we expected, they ran out of truck space and the job took 25% longer (and thus cost 25% more) than their estimate. And the crew spent most of the day complaining about how their bosses had triple-booked them that day. I would not recommend them to anyone at any price. read more
