I ordered the chicken entree with bone in chicken breast and lentils and an spicy orange sauce. It was pretty good, and the plating was pretty. Cocktails are pretty good as well. And the dog food, my mastiff had 4 of their bowls. They are too small for my big boy ;) But 1 star less: When I called to make the reservation as it was a special day, I was told: we've put in your request. Call 10 mins before coming...We'll have your table ready. But when I called 20 mins before arriving, I was told there is no table available. And that I had to wait for 45 mins. I requested them to help me out. But the dude on the phone was like "look I need to go, you have to wait for 45 mins". We waited for 1 hour & 15 mins before we could be seated. Being a vegetarian & having a dog with you on your trip leaves you with a very few options. So we had to wait. Food took over an hour to arrive and my food was barely warm, the French toast devolved into liquid in 6 minutes, not to mention our appetizers came either with or after the food and well beyond 15-30 min after people who seated 30 min after us received theirs. Utter disappointment though I shouldn't be too surprised as the server stated it was her final day and was rarely to be seen. Went to Mosaic with a lot of $$ to spend on a gift card. Ordered what you see. The Brussel sprouts were the BOMB. Sweet and savory and perfectly prepared. My husband really liked the Old Fashion as well. The mosaic burger was ok, but the fries weren't very good. Odd flavor, cold and a bit mushy. The peach drink I ordered, I thought was awful. I cold not even pretend to drink it. The pizza wasn't very good either. The crust was limp and not very flavorful and the pizza itself lacked any pizzaz. What was awesome? The staff! Super attentive and helpful and really professional and courteous. I also liked the ambiance and the fact that I sat directly under a heater! Probably won't be back though. Came back to visit today during happy hour and loved that they finally had live music, which was beautiful btw. I ordered the calamari again (call me crazy) and this time it was seasoned perfectly, the batter was much better than last time and it was sooo delicious! I also ordered the 5 board and there was a really amazing mustard cheese that I loved, I enjoyed the entire thing. Great big smiles and a warm friendly attitude. However, I have to give a well deserved 5 star review to Teresa, Melissa and Nate...or as I like to refer to them as Melate and Natissa...lol. Have you ever felt like your enjoyment was the sole purpose of your waiter/waitress? The experience in which you were enjoying your meal/drinks and just the overall experience was just perfect? This is how Teresa made me feel. Just a great individual who obviously takes pride in how she presents herself. I truly wish Mosaic and their staff much success. So not impressed. The portions were so tiny for the price we had to go get fast food after we were so hungry. The $32 salmon while tasty was exactly 4 bites. He smallest portion I have ever seen in my life. The shrimp scampi was exactly 5 shrimp. They gave no bread, no utensils and the minimal veggie accompaniment. We loved the peppers in particular especially with the crema dipping sauce. I had the margherita pizza after learning they make their dough in house. I visited Mosaic with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary about a month ago. We had a delightful brunch! I recommend making a reservation to ensure that there is no wait. We requested an outdoor table, and the weather and view were perfect. The service was prompt and friendly. The entire restaurant is decorated and set up wonderfully and can seat quite a number of people. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen. The wait for the food was not long and our waitress checked in regularly and provided suggestions on the food. Their brunch menu is only available on the weekends and has a lot of options to choose from. I started off with the seasonal (berry) mojito. It was strong and not at all watered down, although I do wish there was more mint. I ordered the Garden omelette which was cooked well and tasted great. The potatoes were a little oily and not too flavorful, but I enjoyed the raspberry jam and toast. My boyfriend ordered the portobello wrap with fries. The rosemary fries tasted great and the wrap was flavorful and filling! The view was incredible and the Turtle Bay Exploration Park is located right around the corner. We took a short walk after brunch and enjoy the scenery. This was our first stop at Redding so it's safe to say that Mosaic was a warm welcome to the city. read more

My husband and and I were up in Redding visiting family. I made reservations to eat here as a special treat for Father's Day. My in-laws have lived in Redding their entire life and I've never eaten there before. It's a beautiful restaurant with a pretty good menu and lots of gluten-free options. I would highly recommend going here the gluten free pizza was amazing and they even fire it in a different oven to keep it Celiac safe. My in-laws have continued going since I introduced it to them. You can add me to the growing list of fans of Mosaic. Even with a small child, I found it to be a great spot for lunch while visiting neighboring Turtle Bay. The food was tasty, the service was impeccable. I should clarify that it's not just a great spot, it's the ONLY spot within walking distance of Turtle Bay as far as eateries are concerned. It's fresh and new in every way and attached to a hotel. I read through some of the negative reviews beforehand and couldn't relate to the criticisms. The decor, kind of a mix of modern and earthy wood, was very welcoming. The dishes, while a little pricier than average, were very good and kind of what you'd expect from either a hotel restauraunt or a restaurant near a big tourist attraction, so that wasn't a surprise either. I ended up getting a caesar salad with salmon and shared an order of rosemary fries for the table. The salad was really flavorful and the generous piece of salmon perfectly cooked. Our server was sweet and checked on us frequently. Some of the other staff even stopped and chatted with our little guy.
