Covid meant I mostly have been getting food delivered, which means not many reviews have been happening on my end. That said, I started working downtown for part of the week recently and the other day I was looking for an afternoon pick-me-up. I don't drink coffee but Mos Mos is quite popular and has a wide variety of chai lattes. As a tea drinker, I was curious. I decided to get both the Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte and the Iced Mango Chai Latte. I ordered them via ritual and the order was ready so quickly. The staff was super nice as well during my brief interaction with them. Both drinks were nice enough. The pumpkin spice surprised me by actually tasting of pumpkin and not just the spices. It actually strongly reminded me of pumpkin pie so if you're into that, it's worth it. The mango wasn't it for me. It was very sweet and clearly used a syrup to make the mango flavour. It wasn't bad but just wasn't the best. I'm told the original chai is best and I for sure will swing by again to check it out. Not to mention the price is reasonable - on par with Starbucks, maybe a bit cheaper and the drinks are fully customizable.
I went here for a drink while I was visiting a friend who worked nearby. I ordered the Iced Mango Chai Latte. I noticed that the establishment was training a bunch of people so my drink took a while to make and they had some trouble with my payment in the beginning. The payment got sorted out and I got my drink so it wasn't too bad. The drink itself was really good - sweet but not too sweet. It was pretty smooth as well.
Every time I passed by this place there's always a long line up. So when I went during lunch time and saw it was quiet, I decided to buy their Matcha Latte. You grab your desired cup, then place a sticker on the cup of the coffee/latte/milk, etc of your choice and then finally pay at the cashier. I asked them for no sugar/syrup but they said it's mixed with the powder so I settled for 1/2 sweetness. But even with reduced sweetness this is sickeningly sweet and couldn't even drink it. They also added cinnamon powder which makes it even worse. Such a waste of money as I ended up throwing the latte!!!
Had my first visit to this coffee spot during a chat with my mentor, and instantly fell in love with their diverse offerings. Their Flat White is arguably the best I've tasted in Canada! The Malay White Coffee is also a must-try -- just remember not to have it in the afternoon, unless you're bracing for a long night! Their adorable stickers and signature cacao/cinnamon topping are just the cherry on top. Nice staff. It's now my go-to treat! :)
And again!! This is becoming a new norm... This time I decided to venture out of my safety zone (though not too far) and ordered the ceremonial matcha latte with soy milk. As the soy milk is sweetened, I asked them to not add any sugar. It. Was. Fantastic! Though the matcha flavour could have been stronger, and the residue collected at the bottom of the cup, making the texture grainy, it was still fantastic. I'm thinking of trying their turmeric latte next time!
It's not often I'll venture into the downtown business district or around The Path. Since I'm here and recommended by my favourite person, I gladly ordered myself a small cup of Green Tea Latte. Interestingly, you get to grab your own cup size, pick a sticker label based on the drink you want, and stick it within a circle on the cup. I can't speak to other drinks but their green tea latte is definitely one of the best. It's super smooth and doesn't leave any powdery aftertaste when you savour or get to the end. That happens to me quite a bit with green tea lattes. Totally recommended! Service was pretty sleek and fast. Plus, they added a quick flower design touch to my latte. If I pass by again, maybe I should try something different.
Another great coffee shop? Yes But what really stands out here are their chai lattes. Very well seasoned and the individual flavored toppings serve as the cherry on top! The line ups are quite long though during morning rush hour so if you plan to get one, keep a chunk of time aside. Worth the wait every time!
I use to always pass by this place before work and never understood why there was always a line which now makes sense after trying for the first time a couple months back... Although it is slightly on the pricey side, you're paying for the quality that they use and that's what they are well known for. My order is usually between their flat white or ceremonial matcha latte. I refuse to get these items elsewhere because it's that good! Sometimes the line up at Mos Mos looks daunting but it moves very quickly as their staff knows how to work efficiently in a speedy manner. I wished they would open a location outside of the path and open on weekends! Would have love to go here outside of office hours.
Verdict: I mos mos definitely will be coming back for more more! What I like: - Stickers! It's a seamless process of ordering your drink: 1) choose your own cup size 2) pick the sticker of your caffeine of choice 3) tell the barista any special requests and give him/her your name 4) move over to the cashier to pay - Location. It is conveniently located in the Exchange Tower in the underground path. - Taste. I'm no coffee connoisseur but the cortado, canadiano, and americano keep bringing me back. Also, add the coffee bean powder on top, it give your morning that extra kick - Service. The staff are friendly, helpful and funny. First place that has asked if they spelled my name correctly. I like that they never have very long lineups. - The little things. I dig the signs in the lineup area. Good for a much needed morning chuckle. - Price. Comparable if not cheaper than competitors close-by. The only negative comment I can make is the food. Most of their options are very sugary like loafs of cakes, cookies, etc.
Woohoo! Mos Mos second location is finally opened! I was so excited when I saw this location boarded up with Mos Mos logo back in early March and I'm glad the first day I returned to work, it was also their grand opening day! Mos Mos is a unique coffee place in the path and their first location was inside Commerce Court also in the downtown financial district. They are known for their high quality and very competitively priced coffee. Their system is one of the best I had ever seen, customer picks a size, choose the corresponding sticker for their coffee type with milk sugar preference and they will make your drink in a timely manner with a nice latte art. 5/5 for this fantastic coffee joint!!
Ordered 3 - flat white, egg tart and matcha cookie. Flat white tastes nice. Egg tart is a little bit too sweet. I just came back from Lisbon which offers the best egg tarts on this planet, so this could cause some sort of impact. But surprised to see egg tart here at a coffee shop. Very diverse offering. Matcha cookie is average. Can't tell the matcha flavor except the color. Flat white is better than Starbucks. This shop is hard to find. It's in the food court area (most ppl here don't know where it is). you go to 130 King St, take the escalator down and turn right. Then you will see the food court and it's next to Burger King. Will try their matcha latte and taro latte next time. Heard both are great.
I love everythingggg about Mos Mos! I love every single chai tea they have but my favourite is their Muesli! Packed with berries, grapes, muesli of course and a super creamy/milky base!! I love starting my mornings off with this and it really fills me up! Super underrated and strongly recommend! Muesli is also made fresh daily although I've taken it home a couple times and its tastes great the next morning! read more

As my friend said, "Mos Mos is the least least." This was definitely a miss. I got an iced matcha latte and a matcha dark chocolate chip cookie. The drink tasted like milk. No hint of matcha. If someone told me it was milk with green food coloring, then I would believe them. The cookie also did not taste like matcha. I could taste the ingredients (as in flour and baking soda). One of my friends got a regular black coffee, and the other got shots of espresso (doppio) over ice (but the barista barely put any ice.) So my friend had to ask for more ice and the barista asked how much, which I honestly feel is a strange question for a barista to ask. There tends to be a standard for these things. Both of my friends said the beans tasted burnt and not good. Also, both of their pastries were not great either. The lemon poppy was so dry and I don't know what my other friend purchased, but he threw it away after a few bites. I'm not sure if the reasoning behind this place being so terrible is because it was inside of a corporate building and they rush their orders, or if it's because it is a chain (so we found out with all of the locations around the city). Either way, we all decided we would have much rather settled for Starbucks. We were all disappointed because their drinks all sound great, especially since there seems to be a diverse selection of chai and such, but seems like they can't even get the simple drinks right. read more
It's so nice to see that Toronto Downtown Path is getting busy again with people returning to the office. I forgot how much I enjoyed Mos Mos coffee. The coffee here is quite unique as the milk added is steamed and I'll ask for a sprinkle of cinnamon and this is just a coffee and not a latte or cappuccino. I'm so glad that they made it through the long year and a half pandemic. read more

Mos Mos never disappoints. Their selections and creative drinks are always growing and changing so what you may enjoy one week may change in another week. Boring choice does not seem to be part of Mos Mos' vocabulary Taste level, selection, quality and prices are, by far in my books, the best in the PATH. I wish their lines weren't that long but it doesn't keep me from going back all the time to try something new. Do I recommend? Definitely read more

Good selection of pastries and beverages - so many cookies to choose! SO far, I have tried a large cardamom chai latte and medium matcha latte from the menu. I prefer the cardamom one more. The price for chai lattes are fairly similar to other coffee places. Located in the Exchange Tower Food court. Super quick and friendly service. Good for a quick pick me up! read more
