My husband and I were in the Temecula area and wanted to grab breakfast. We happened upon Mo's Egg House and thought we'd try it out. Despite being very busy on a Saturday morning, we were seated within 5 minutes. The servers were so kind even offering a piece of delicious cinnamon cake as a bonus. Our orders were taken quickly and it was amazing to see how well choreographed the restaurant was considering how many customers there were. Our food was also served in a timely manner. I had the corned beef hash dish. Perfect, and my husband had the breakfast croissant sandwich which he enjoyed as well. Cute decor. Clean restaurant. Definitely a new stop on our regular's list. I can see that they try very hard to do a great job. They bring a piece of warm coffee cake, which is a nice touch. I ordered the country scramble with the potatoes, and it was very generous. I upgraded to a 7 grain pancake. It was a big disappointment! It was pale, lacking a whole-grain texture, flavorless and rather gummy . The waitress kindly took it off my bill because I didn't eat it I asked for all butter for my pancake, but I think it's a blend . I find servers think they are offering butter but the restaurant actually has a whipped blend of margarine and butter. Margarine is a transfat and extremely unhealthy I requested that the eggs be easy and not overcooked. They were moist, but they still had that brown surface underneath where they left it on the skillet too long. Fortunately it didn't affect the flavor, but I really don't care for my eggs when they are cooked so that they turned brown it appeared that they had put American cheese across the top of my scramble and again, I avoid processed foods. This was very disappointing. The scramble tasted good and again, was moist, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The meat in the scramble was very generous, and I thought the potatoes were good, the texture of the potatoes being firm and cooked . For most people this meal probably would've been perfect , other than the upgrade I did with the pancake. It's a busy place and popular so they are doing things right but some of us need a healthier version of a meal. read more

Asked for country scrambled eggs. I got the tub of eggs that they scramble for everyone. Went specifically for the grits. The first cup had a brown piece of 'something' in it and they were lumpy. I returned it. The second cup was just warm and still lumpy. Not creamy at all. Hadn't had buckwheat pancakes in years so I ordered them. Disappointing. They were dry. It was piping hot but not so hot that it would burn your mouth. Unlike McDonald's coffee which is so hot there's no way that you can drink it right being served. We're visiting town and needed a place to have breakfast. We were originally debating between this place and another place down the street. The other place was super dark and didn't give us a good vibe but when we walked in here, the vibe was more lively and welcoming so we decided to stay and check it out. We were immediately seated and served beverages. We also had complimentary coffee cake which was a nice surprise! The staff seemed friendly and were attentive. It was weird though, the first lady who originally took drink orders and gave us coffee cake, seemed to have changed her mind after having a small misunderstanding with my husband. I am not sure if she was offended or became uncomfortable and decided to pass us onto a different waitress but i just thought it was very strange and honestly, offended me. I wish I had got her name. Anyway, the food came out in a timely manner. Place looked clean and was pretty busy so that was a good sign. But I have to say the food was underwhelming. When there's a long wait, you know they're good! Our wait was about 20ish minutes. It was a full house for sure! He restaurant had a very diner but homestyle feel. Before we got to order, we each received a slice of coffee cake. It was nice and warm. We ordered the Philly cheese steak omelette and chicken fried steak. We were very satisfied with both dishes. For sure we will be stopping here again for future trips up north. I will warn you, the parking sucks here. It's a shopping center and you might spend a while looking for parking. For a small cup of soup, I got 3 big meatballs in there with veggies. The side salad was generous and filling. The side order of fries was basket filled and plenty for sharing. Love that they're seasoned, crispy and not soggy. That complimentary slice of coffee cake had me wanting more. Had I known we could've ordered a box to go, I would've purchased a box to bring home. This place is a must visit for a hearty breakfast! Love that it has non-breakfast items available for people who don't want to order breakfast. The portions are generous too! Mo's Egg House is a popular breakfast/lunch spot in Temecula. It seems that they made some changes to the restaurant interior. The place looks somehow bigger and brighter so the changes were definitely for better. We arrived here an hour before closing time but it was still busy. Our waitress took a good care of us with swiftly taking the orders and topping up our cups with coffee refills. Unfortunately, the kitchen was pretty backed up as we were advised after we got seated so the wait time for food was over 30 min. The food we were served was good. My lox benedict had tasty hollandaise sauce but the smoked salmon was way too salty. The fried chicken on the second dish we ordered was nicely crisped and seasoned. I wish the food wait time wasn't so long but overall experience was good. Would definitely come back to try different breakfast options. read more

She made our first experience at Mo's comforting so thank you. The place is nice modern looking diner. Ordered the Monte Cristo which I was hoping was better. Biscuits and Gravy which really tasted good. You get a complimentary Coffee cake that had a sweet cream on it that was moist and delicious. It's a must eat at and will probably try the Chicken and Waffles on my next visit s I was told that is what they are known for. I ordered the huevos rancheros and the rice was not even rice just a dollop of red pasty rice with no flavor or seasoning - I'm Mexican so this was not even near the continent of edible - sorry. Bland beans made the whole dish bad all I ate was the egg. My sister had the chilaquiles and that was bland and so much onion you could not taste anything. Sadly the food is just meh. Not the BEST but definitely not the worst. We ordered coffee and a mimosa but it came the same time as the food so that was a bummer. However, the food came out quick and hot! I ordered a Belgian waffle which was interesting as out didn't have a "Crisp" to it. The other interesting thing is that the butter comes out already melted so the butter fat is at the bottom. The syrup was hot which is a plus. Hubs ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and said it had great flavor. We also ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy. It had good flavor but a bit too much rosemary and could use some sausage chunks. Diego was a fantastic server. We will come back to try lunch. Our server was nice enough to remove it from the bill. Also had eggs and sausages. Those were fine, but we won't return. Sticking with the broken yolk for future meals. This was my experience, hopefully yours is/ was better. My wife and I enjoy our little trips around Southern California and love trying new restaurants. This is our first visit to this highly reviewed spot. The coffee is a good cup of coffee and compliments the pre meal, complimentary coffee cake well. As for the food... NOTE: We have relatively discerning pallets and my criticisms are my own. My Benedict was cooked perfectly, with the muffins toasted to support the toppings through the end of the meal, 5 stars for prep. Overall, I will give the Ca. Benedict a 3 1/2. My wife's omelette was served with sliced cheese on top and not melted. Cooked into the omelette would have been preferred. Quality of our meals was very good and there are many other items on the menu that we will try in the future. Overall, the food gets a 3.5 out of 5 and we WILL be back to try the many other offerings from Mo's. This is a local favorite and I encourage everyone to stop in and enjoy the staff and variety of offerings! read more

Worse comes to worse sit at the bar area and get served without waiting. They start everyone out with some delicious coffee cake, a signature of Mos. Throw in some coffee and cake and you start out breakfast the best way. We ordered the lox Benedict, the soup, and the blta. None of the food disappointed, and the service was very quick. The sandwich was delicious, the lox and Benedict sweet and savory, and the soup really hit the spot. This has become one of our favorite places for breakfast. We decided to go on a week day because every time we drove by on a weekend the line is out the door. So this was the best bet. We were seated right away. It took a min for the server to get to us but that was ok. She was busy and super friendly. And fast. I got Chiliquiles and my husband an omelet. I have never ever has Chiliquiles with green sauce. Except from like my friend who made them that way. They were tasty and fresh. I could of used more sauce and cheese. (That's why the 4 stars and not 5). My husband's omelet was perfect and really fresh. Everything was delightful. The restaurant is clean and lively. I really enjoyed my experience. I will come back.
