    Cajun Crawfish Pasta
    Shanice G.

I think I got the most underrated item on the menu - the Seoul ribeye was next level. They explained it as marinating over 24 hrs in all these different herbs, seasonings, marinades and I tell you -- it showed. The ribeye was a perfect cut and melted in my mouth. MELTED. Didn't even need the kimchi butter but it was a nice touch on top. Charbroiled oysters were good -I mean, we're in NOLA, it better be. My friend got the crawfish pasta - I think it looked a bit lackluster but she said it was good. Dimly lit and nice ambiance. Would I return? Eh if someone else wanted to but if I do, you know what I'm getting.

Amazing food and experience Not only was the Asian Cajun fusion on display, it was the super cool friendly service from "Merc" that set it off the top. Job well done The wings are FIRE The food here is legit Stop reading this and start driving over there now

Amazing food as always. The blackened salmon was absolutely divine. I had the braised cabbage and yams for my two sides, which were also good. The Bywater Peach Punch..... let's just say the bartenders know what they are doing. It was so refreshing and delicious. Our server Soniya was excellent. She checked on us often and was such a pleasure. Once again, Morrow's was firing on all cylinders. Food and vibes on point.

Morrow's has a lot of potential, especially considering how much love and support they receive online, which is what made me curious to finally try them for myself. My girlfriend and I arrived about 45 minutes before closing and decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table. The hostesses were a little slow with communication when we first walked in, and even after sitting at the bar, it took about 15 minutes before we were acknowledged and able to order drinks. Since we came in closer to closing, I can definitely understand that may have played a part in the overall experience. We kept our order pretty simple: a half dozen charbroiled oysters and the fried chicken with two sides, greens and mac and cheese. The oysters came out after about 20 minutes. They were good, but nothing really stood out enough to separate them from other charbroiled oysters we've had around the city. Our fried chicken plate came about another 15 minutes later, and unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The chicken wasn't served hot, it was more of a lukewarm temperature and the flavor was pretty much nonexistent. It tasted like fried chicken without much seasoning, and there was also a slightly burnt/old-oil taste that took away from it even more. The sides were actually pretty good. I enjoyed the greens, although I would've preferred not having so many thick stems mixed in. The mac and cheese was decent as well. Overall, I wouldn't completely count Morrow's out. I genuinely feel like we may have caught them at the tail end of the night when the kitchen and staff were wrapping things up. If I gave them another try, I would definitely go much earlier in the day because I'd like to experience the food and service when everything is fresh and operating at its best. Based on this visit, though, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype for me.

Dont let the exterior surroundings and neighborhood deter you from dining here. I booked a reservation for two on Open Table about a month prior to my visit. Read tons of reviews here on Yelp and some other social media information on this place and see it's a very popular spot. Street parking only which is a little scarce. Arrived at my reservation time of 1pm, and was seated promptly. Our server Semaj came over promptly made several recommendations to us. She was upbeat and friendly. We ordered drinks, then the entrees. Seafood platter and Crawfish Pasta add grilled shrimp. Entrees are about $25 and up. Food came out within about 20 minutes. Everything was good. The pasta was a bit spicy which I liked. Only negative's was the ketchup was not brought out timely for the fried seafood platter until it was almost gone and my drink wasn't refilled until we finished our meal. So a bit more attentiveness on our servers part and she would have received a larger tip. But her service otherwise was great! The food is good. Give them a try!

Came for a late lunch and made a reservation. If you can, definitely recommend doing this because they can get packed. Waited a little minute for a hostess even though it wasn't that busy. Everyone is wearing the same "attire" so couldn't tell who was supposed to be the hostess versus a waiter. It's not a big place but the ambiance is very relaxed and we enjoyed the music playing. But it was a little loud for my taste. Now that we have that out the way...let's talk about the food and drinks. Fried shrimp platter 9/10: nice large seasoned juicy shrimp. Impressed by the size of the shrimp. Collard greens 9/10: good flavor but too many stems. Chicken Parmesan 9/10: nice portion size and great flavor. The crawfish was a nice compliment to this dish. I do wish they used less arugula though...felt like a salad on top of my meal. Cabbage 7/10: had to send this back because it wasn't hot. It is a nice portion size though. I wish it had a little more flavor - I was hoping it tasted like the cabbage from spicy mango since they're owned by the same company but it did not taste the same. Morrow of the story (drink) 8/10: this drink is huge and definitely shareable. Good flavor and you can't taste the liquor which can be a good or bad thing. Bywater peach 7/10: the flavor was okay and it wasn't too strong which was nice.

Solid restaurant, cute decor, and great vibe. It was busy upon arrival but the wait time was only 6-7 minutes. I ordered a mish-mash of things. Lol! First, chargrilled oysters were delicious! They were piping hot and seasoned to perfection. I had seafood gumbo which was a solid 8. Being from Southern California, there is a bit of a difference. Our seafood gumbo has snow or king crab legs and is filled with more protein. Most N.O. restaurants only add shrimp + chicken + sausage. Though this one only had one small crab claw and little protein, I was excited to find an authentic roux. Greens were flavorful with a little kick. My Malibu rum and pineapple juice had a dehydrated pineapple on top and was refreshing. My friend ordered the fried chicken and enjoyed it. She was not a fan of the braised cabbage. She enjoyed the yams and cornbread which I don't eat. She also ordered some type of speciality drink, hurricane maybe?? Her eyes were blown away when the bill showed it was $30. Beware!! Overall, this was a good experience. I wish I got our server's name because she was very pleasant, patient, and helpful describing menu items (dark brown skin, glasses, and a light brown tint to a short cut hairdo...I think). Kudos to her and the manager who walked around checking on customers. Great service!

Five Stars for Nyah! Great drinks are one thing, but great drinks AND an amazing personality? That's a winning combination! Nyah at Morrows was absolutely fantastic! Her recommendations were spot-on, her cocktails were exceptional, and her warm, engaging personality made the entire experience even better. She clearly knows her craft and how to make guests feel special. If you're visiting Morrows in New Orleans, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar with Nyah. You won't be disappointed! Cheers to exceptional service!

I went to the French quarter fest and I got their catfish and crawfish pasta. The service was kind and fast. This pasta had a rich flavor to it and the spice was great. It was creamy and the noodles were cooked perfect. The catfish was cooked well and was flavorful/ seasoned as well. This captures the flavor of New Orleans with a creole and Cajun flavor. Would definitely be getting this at their restaurant.

    Gumbo Ramen, Baked Macaroni
    Jorden K.

The gumbo ramen and baked macaroni were 10/10. The service was a bit slower than I would've preferred given we had a reservation and did not get seated for 20 minutes. The vibes were amazing especially with the music.

    Shrimp platter
    LaToya K.

Morrrow's is a vibe. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or a girls night. The music was on point the entire time we were there. I wasn't super hungry so I ordered the Ramen Gumbo. The portion was perfect. I ate the entire bowl and ended up satisfied and not stuffed. It was spicy and delicious. My mom had the seafood platter and commented that the shrimp were seasoned and not overly breaded. I tried a sazerac. My first one. It was Smokey and smooth.

...... I'm super disappointed in my experience. I've been wanting to come to Morrow's for a while! I just knew the oysters was going to be bussing!! They were! But the customer service leaves a lot to the imagination. It's a rumor that when gratuity is included, customer service will be non existent. It's true. Customer service at the bar was complete trash. Bartender did NOT check on us, once our food was received. We never received a portion of the food. When the bartender came over and asked if we was doing ok, I replied no. Asked if she remembered to put the missing food in, she said she did. At this point we had the oysters for about 20 mins. I was irritated and tired of being overlooked. I'm a fan of the Morrow family of restaurants, this one won't see me again.

    Tanya C.

Customer service lacking. They act as if it's a privilege to pay and eat at the restaurant and be served chicken where the temperature was too high and grease needs changing. Cabbage, greens, Mac and cheese, yams were horrible. Fish was raw in the center. Never again!

My boyfriend and I started with the Creole oysters and OMG... probably some of the best oysters I've ever had. They were incredibly flavorful, and dipping the bread into all that sauce afterward was SO good. My mother-in-law had the fried calamari, which came with remoulade, and she really enjoyed it. For my entrée, I had the jambalaya with chicken and andouille sausage. It was definitely spicy, but really, really good. My boyfriend and mother-in-law both had the grilled red snapper topped with their creamy crawfish sauce, and they loved it. My father-in-law had one of the oyster specials with shrimp and crawfish, which was also excellent. We finished with dessert... boyfriend and I had a chocolate mousse/cake dessert and my in-laws had the bread pudding. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was casual and fun, they had the football games playing on the TVs, and our waitress was fantastic the entire night. Just an overall great experience. We ordered everything off the raw bar off the specials menu, and everything was very good. My favorite was probably either the Kinilaw or the crab claws. The Kinilaw's flavor was perfectly balanced, not too sour at all, and the crab claws soaked up the marinade nicely, and it was very flavorful. The crab salad was delicious too, the flavor felt cooling and refreshing on a hot and humid day. The tuna crudo were also really delicious, but for how much we paid for that one, I did wish there was a bit more. Service is excellent. Fast and prompt. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. I genuinely do NOT understand the hype around Pêche. We came in with pretty high expectations given…read morethe Michelin Guide recognition and this was easily one of the most disappointing meals we had in New Orleans. We got there about 20 minutes early and they were nice enough to seat us early, which I appreciated. We did ask the host if the AC was working because it was HOT and he looked at us like we had just offended his mother. Weird start. Our waiter Jason came over to explain the menu and immediately seemed flustered/annoyed that we had questions. It was our first time there?? Of course we had questions lol. I told him I have a crustacean allergy. He mentioned shellfish and I clarified that it was specifically crustaceans because I can eat other shellfish. No big deal and I WILL give them credit because they did accommodate my allergy. Before the food even came my father-in-law ordered an Old Fashioned with one large cube. Jason seemed annoyed by that request too, said it was fine, and then the drink comes out with a bunch of regular ice cubes anyway. Had to be redone. Small thing but this basically became the theme of the night. Then the food. I wanted the kale salad and asked if they could leave off the peanuts. Absolutely not because apparently it's the chef's grandmother's recipe and there are NO modifications. Okay grandma. We won't disrespect the recipe. For my hanger steak they offered to cook it separately in a pan because of my allergy which I genuinely appreciated. I also asked if I could ORDER the creamed corn on the side and was told he could ask but couldn't guarantee what the kitchen would do. What?? It's literally on the menu and I'm paying for it lol. They did bring it and it was basically corn kernels sitting in watery liquid. Underwhelming is being generous. The crab claws were good but nothing memorable. My boyfriend ordered the steak tartare and somehow that took longer than everything else because apparently raw steak on bread needed extra time. Then the Royal Red shrimp...THIS was insane. My boyfriend was almost finished when he got to one that was undercooked and SLIMY. At a seafood restaurant with this kind of reputation??? We told Jason and basically got a "thank you for letting me know." Sir. You just served someone slimy undercooked shrimp. Maybe show a LITTLE concern??? For entrées my boyfriend and his mom got the grilled cobia. Tiny piece of fish with a bland corn situation. Mediocre at best. My father-in-law and I got the hanger steak. Mine was closer to rare than medium rare and kind of cold. Again...mediocre. Because of my allergy my potatoes came separately which I appreciated. Mine had aioli underneath them while my father-in-law's SAME potatoes had no aioli whatsoever. We asked someone why and he literally just smiled at us like... No explanation. My father-in-law ended up eating some of mine. Then Jason realized he completely forgot my mother-in-law's Brussels sprouts AFTER our entrées were already out. He offered to put them in but couldn't guarantee they would arrive before we finished eating. LOL okay never mind then?? By this point Jason seemed to be actively avoiding our table and honestly the entire staff looked MISERABLE. That was probably the weirdest part of the whole experience. Everyone looked annoyed. Nobody seemed like they wanted to be there. People kept walking behind us hitting my chair and my mother-in-law's chair. It was hot, cramped and just had a shitty vibe. The saving grace was dessert. The sticky toffee pudding and caramel cake were REALLY good and easily the best part of the entire meal. But two good desserts cannot save an entire dinner. Between the mediocre food, inconsistent service, forgotten order, weird attitude over basic questions and an UNDERCOOKED SHRIMP at a seafood restaurant...I truly do not understand the reputation. Maybe we caught them on a terrible night but New Orleans has way too many incredible restaurants for me to ever waste another meal here.

A Seafood Spot We Keep Coming Back To!…read more My husband, my daughter, and I have been going to Boil Seafood House for the past few months, and so far, we've really enjoyed every visit. It's definitely become a place we keep coming back to. We usually get the seafood boil with snow crab legs, and this time we went with the medium heat and butter garlic flavor. Everything was really good and full of flavor. My husband and I got the potatoes as our sides, while my daughter got the boiled eggs. We also ordered a side of French fries to share, and let me just say... we ate those so fast that I completely forgot to take a picture! They were good! I also like the whole seafood boil experience here. They offer you a bib and gloves if you want them, which definitely comes in handy when you're getting into those crab legs. The service has been good every time we've visited, and the atmosphere is always lively. One of the coolest things happened after we had finished eating. Someone came around offering little samples for people to try, and they stopped by our table and asked if we wanted to try the soft-shell shrimp. I'm not sure if it's something new on the menu or just something they were serving as a sample, but we said yes -- and I'm so glad we did! That shrimp was delicious! It literally melted in my mouth. I'm usually not a big fan of eating anything with the shell still on, but this was so good that I didn't even mind it. Definitely not what I expected, and it was probably one of my favorite little surprises of the visit. I didn't take a ton of pictures this time, but I'll share the few that I did get. Arrowhead to Drago's As always, Drago's has excellent food,…read morebut I want to start this review with some suggestions about the NON-FOOD of Drago's Riverside. ... When I was looking for Drago's on the ground flood of the Hilton, I noticed restaurant activity down a path bordered by two hip-level walls. It was Drago's. When I approached a sign at the end of the path, there was a horizontal line on the sign with instructions to go straight ahead. Well, straight ahead meant through the sign and through a wall. The sign also said something about a green wall. I looked left and saw the reception desk far in the back. So I kept walking left because the exit from the path was only to the left. I approached the desk to ask if I needed reservation for lunch about a hour later. I was assured that reservations that day would not be needed. When I approached the same sign in the path an hour later, I noticed on the sign a small arrowhead on the end of the horizontal line. It would be great if the arrowhead could be made larger and the verbiage would say simply "Go left for the hostess." ... On my return to Drago's about one p.m., I asked for a place a bit out-of-the-way. I was seated next to two screaming children. So, without complaint, the host reseated me in a darker part of the restaurant which was perfect for my preferences. My waitress was Ashanti. She was attentive, efficient, and personable. She brought me a half-dozen of charbroiled oysters which were hot and excellent with extra slices of French bread because much of the pleasure from charbroiled oysters is from the butter sauce. (This downtown Drago's might serve more French bread than the Drago's in Metairie.) The oysters were small but I could not complain because Argust is not really a month with an "R" in the name. ... I also had a cup of seafood gumbo (with a good complement of shrimp) as well as a Heineken and a Kim Crawford sauvignon. The gumbo was good, but no New Orleans grandmother need worry whether Drago's had stolen her gumbo recipe. .. The ambiance of this Drago's was good although the rap music was discordant early. Later there was a soothing clarinet. The table top was bare, but there were cloth napkins and good silverware. ... Enjoy Drago's.

Drago's in New Orleans is one of those places I'd classify…read moreas a tourist trap, but not necessarily in the worst way. If I'm here, I'm probably sitting at the bar, having a drink, and ordering the charbroiled oysters. That's the reason to come. Hot, buttery, garlicky, cheesy, and exactly what you expect when somebody says Drago's. Beyond that, I'm not really going out of my way for a full meal here. The place stays busy, there's a constant flow of tourists, and the overall experience feels more like checking a famous New Orleans restaurant off the list than discovering somewhere I can't wait to return to. The bar is actually the sweet spot for me. Grab a drink, get the oysters, enjoy the atmosphere, and keep it moving. Fine for what it is, and I'd absolutely stop in for charbroiled oysters, but I'm not building MY dinner plans around it.
