"Interesting" mural...ummm.
Matthew K.

Typical diner. Get what you expect. Pancakes and the works. Friendly and to the point waitress who helped us order. I got the American Burger which was a simple as you would expect but tasty. Came with fries which were good and a soup which was not - we had the cheesy mushroom and spinach soup that was basically a fondu. But I think that's a style that some people are used to. Eclectic devour including a strange mural will add a pic of. Not a bad stop if you on the road.

The diner was clean, but extremely cold, like cold cold. I had ordered a French dip , came with chicken noodle soup and fries and my husband ordered the monte cristo sandwich with fries. Neither of us could eat our food, the meat didn't look right and they don't put cheese on their French dip sandwich unless you pay an additional amount. There was no chicken in the soup and it tasted like shells in water with a weird film over the top of it. Everything about our dishes was off , even the piece of lettuce with a tomato on it was kinda weird on the side of our plates. Found out they changed owners months ago. My husband bragged how great this place was and how his family went here every yr up to 2018 , and then with covid they hadn't been back... until now. This was my first and last time goin here .

Wonderful country diner with great food and great prices. My country special shown is under $10! You can't go wrong and the service was great. We had Alexis. They have complete breakfast, lunch and dinners.

Eggs Benedict

For starters you cant beat the prices or service. Hands down 5 star on that. The food there is a little to be desired. Sausage gravy is somewhat bland, just need some simple cracked pepper. The biscuits we decent but i like a dense consistency. Eggs Benedict were cooked well but the hollandaise sauce was also bland and watery. The ham is a good portion but its smoked ham which overpowered the hollandaise sauce. Worth a visit.

So far so good. Restrooms are clean. O rhink we ate here a few years ago but cant foe the life of me remember if it was decent or not.

"Where do the locals eat?" is something I typically ask when I'm in uncharted waters. "The…read moreHideout" is aptly named because it's hidden behind the façade of an American Legion Post and flies beneath the radar of folks from out-of-town. But the public is welcome, and it's high time to share this local treasure on Yelp! Oh, this joint is nuttin' fancy. The Post decided to increase its visibility by putting a small sign on the outside of the building. Period. There is a large front room with a bar, and a few steps up is a spacious meeting hall suitable for groups and private parties. Gaming is between the two rooms. The décor (what décor?) is plain-plain but the vibe is friendly and festive. The recently-expanded menu features diner fare and pub grub with a smattering of Mexican and Cajun items. We dined with a group of friends and passed around a few apps. The crawfish soup earned thumbs-up, ditto the colossal batter-dipped onion rings and piquant fried pickles. I had a BBQ brisket wrap; it was bursting with possibly more than 8 oz. of tender and juicy smoked brisket. A red smoke ring was visible and the sauce was just right. My Missus said her burger, served on a rich brioche bun, was exceptional. Portions are huge and the down-to-earth prices include one side. There are several sides to pick from. I had the tangy but overdressed coleslaw. There are two pasta entrées on the menu - "Cajun" and "Alfredo." The "Cajun" turned out to be Alfredo pasta topped with diced tomatoes. Apart from that one dud, which was sent back to the kitchen, the food, service and value exceeded our expectations. Of note, dessert and coffee are not served here (but there's a Dunkin nearby). We gotta return for a Friday fish fry.

A couple kinds of French toast. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, bacon, ham, corned beef hash, lots of potato casseroles, waffles, two kids of French toast...it just goes on and on. And then you have a full salad area with fresh fruit !! Oh and did I mention an entire buffet of pastries? Donuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins. It just kept going !!! Everything was fresh and replenished and delicious. The only thing I'd pass on was the Bloody Mary bar. Not a lot of stuffs. Cold chicken nuggets, bacon, green olives, some sad pickle spears, lemon wedges, celery, kielbasa, that was pretty much it. Would Have like to have seen cheese cubes or maybe some shrimp. But it was not bad, just nothing to write home about. All in all for 20.00 a person for food (I don't remember what the bloody bar was) it was a good deal. And they do it daily, not just on the weekends!!!

Ive been coming here for years and usually enjoy the food and the atmosphere. When my kids wanted…read moreto hit the carnival at CornFest Saturday evening I knew exactly where I wanted to go while they had fun. The table side of the restaurant only had one table filled and the bar was about half full. Despite the fact that they weren't busy at the time we had to flag down a staff member to take our order for both food and drinks. Our food arrived with no plates to share our appetizers or silverware. Again, had to flag someone down. Then we sat for a while with our empty plates in front of us and empty drinks. When my date tried to ask the server near us if we could have a refill she FLAT ignored us. He gently asked 3 times before finally slightly raising his voice. Her snotty response confirmed that she was indeed ignoring us. She did make our drinks but after she made them left them on the bar mat and walked away without a word. Shortly thereafter we asked the same woman for out tab who announced, "she'd get to us when she had a moment". Several other patrons came to the bar while we were there and left because they couldn't get service. I stopped and mentioned the experience to the woman I was told was the manager. She initially claimed she wasn't the manager and then snapped at me about how frustrated they were. To top it off she then proceeded to tell the server that I had complained who announced loudly that she "didn't even care". It became obvious that our complaint had circulated among the staff and we awkwardly sat there waiting for our bill. I know it's Corn Fest weekend but it wasn't even busy and there's no excuse for that. Plenty of places to visit in downtown and Tully Monster won't be one I'll visit again.
